For people wondering if next season will be split into two, it will. Vince Gilligan confirmed it on the Breaking Bad podcast. Hopefully it isn't a whole year split though.

so it's 8 episodes each............. ewwww

Yeah. They said the first 8 episodes will end with a cliffhanger, (that goes without saying.)

I wish they just showed all 16! I hope that we seriously don't have to wait until 2013 for the finale.

As much as I'd like to know as well I think that Gilligan will keep his past ambiguous. He mentioned in an article that he sees Gus' past as the briefcase in Pulp Fiction, it's more better if the audience decides themselves what he was before so I'm not having any high expectations for that resolution. Not to mention if they go with Gus' contacts from his past out for vengeance it'd be a threading in the same water and since it's the last season I think it's best if they keep it moving forward with the story of inevitable Walt's downfall.

It's interesting that his motivation seemed to be a personal vendetta against the death of his parter while at the same time trying to split Jesse are Walt so he can kill Walt off. He has the chance to let someone kill off the old cripple fellow but does it himself, which ends up the reason he go and dieded! :awesome:

Yeah, I heard that too. I can't form an opinion until I know how these two 8-episode seasons will be aired...together or separate? I mean, AMC doubles their awards nominations/wins + DVD sales by splitting them into two seasons, but it seems ridiculous for us to have to wait another 2 years for the series finale when we know a series finale is coming.

I fought jetlag to stay up to 2am and watch the Breaking Bad season finale. I'm glad I did. If The Wire Season 4 is the greatest single season of television ever made, then Breaking Bad Season 4 is surely the second best. Incredible.

I doubt it, that would be two seasons. It's probably like South Park.

after thinking about it, i think i like season 3 of breaking bad slightly better, but i'm not sure.

here's hoping the last 16 episodes are the best of the series.

Breaking Bad is probably the hardest show to pick the best/fav season, probably for 2 reasons: (1) all the seasons are f**king amazing and (2) they're all part of one large story, they aren't in isolation from one another like so many other shows.

Yeah all of the seasons of Breaking Bad are top notch but If I have to pick a favorite it's got to be Season 2 for me.

Going back to what we might see in Season 5, what if that footage of Walt giving his confessional in the pilot episode come back to bite him in the ass? Whatever happen to that camcorder?

I believe Walt destroyed the tape in the pilot when he was in the clear.

Season 4 is my favorite.

Season 3 is probably the saddest, mainly because of Gale's character and what eventually happens to him.

All of the seasons are great in their own ways but if I have to choose I'd go with season 3, which was a slow build but I'd say it's almost solid throughout the season, every episodes starting from Sunset to Full Measure is just top-notch and I love the mayhem feeling of it.

fantastic season. fantastic charater develoment for Walt and Jesse. Gus was a fantastic villain. fantastic cinematography and humor.

i bow down.

sometimes i am thinking that Breaking Bad is just to good to be true. is this just a dream or what?

Definitely. The show delivers film quality acting, writing, directing, cinematography, and just about everything else. Sometimes I am simply in awe at how perfectly a shot is composed, or a line delivered. And I'm more in awe that the show has been so consistent in quality, look, feel, approach, everything since it started. The tension in Breaking Bad is ridiculous. Crawl Space still has the best ending I've ever seen on a TV series, period. The show manages to be equal doses of insane yet realistic and it's really a perfect experience. Bad ass show. Hopefully AMC releases some wicked "complete series" DVD when it's all over. [/loverant] over...

The Demon's Head needs to edit the smiley out of that post.

Edit:

i think after the final episode its important to again watch Walt in episode 12 End Times. the part where he talks to Jesse . just look at Walt. look at how he cries,screams,.... everything is Heisenberg-mode. in episdoe 12 and 13 its 100% Heisenberg.

I remember, after reading people's suspicions that Walt poisoned Brock, thinking back to that scene and specifically the way Walt ends his theory of Gus' plan with "It's brilliant!"

The delivery was with complete admiration. And now we know, self admiration.

Four will go down as one of the best seasons in television history...Book it for a win of Best Drama at the Emmys
