Breaking Bad - Part 1

I remember, after reading people's suspicions that Walt poisoned Brock, thinking back to that scene and specifically the way Walt ends his theory of Gus' plan with "It's brilliant!"

The delivery was with complete admiration. And now we know, self admiration.

Indeed. It's funny how a lot of people pointed to that scene as the "proof" that Walt didn't do it. While, for me, that was actually the scene that tipped me off. Walt is a very prideful man. Prideful to the point of delusion and even self-destruction in many cases. He spent the whole season telling anyone who would listen just how in control and on top of things he is, and now, the man who couldn't keep his mouth shut because he was so ******** that Gale was receiving credit for everything Heisenberg did, is suddenly admitting that Gus has always been ten moves ahead of him and even going so far as to call Gus brilliant. Didn't sit right with me.

Those two dress up for each season's crew wrap party. There is an image of Cranston as Uncle 'Tio', and it's quite convincing.

EDIT: Ha, that. So awesome.

At this point, I think the show has to end with Jesse killing Walt.
I wouldn't be so sure of anything at this point. This show is very good at defying expectations, or at least making it to where you really don't know what's going to happen next.

If Walt dies, the writers could do it in 4-5 different ways and they'd all be believable/awesome. Jesse could kill him; cancer could kill him; Hank could catch/kill him...maybe it ends with Walt killing himself? That would be an unexpected and interesting development.

I thought it was interesting that Saul Goodman appears as a slimeball at no point does the character seem to betray them or sell them out. At one point he pretty much puts his life in danger for Jesse and Walt. Earlyer in the season I assumed he would he would be a major problem. Pretty much the apposite. It was great what they done with his character.
