I envision the show culminating in a three-way Mexican standoff between Walter, Jesse, and Hank. Walt, at this point, has gone full bad, and offers Jesse a place at his side, not only as a partner, but an equal. Walt only has a few months left as his cancer is as worse as it has ever been. He wants and trusts Jesse to continue his legacy. Hank is stunned at the revelation that Heisenberg has been his brother-in-law the entire time. He doesn't know what to do. Jesse is terrified of what Walter has become but is also scared of Hank shooting him down and tempted to take Walter's offer.
Walter tells Jesse it's only right that they continue their meth empire as it's been them two together this whole crazy ride. Walter accepts that he has to kill Hank because while he loves him, he can't let him get in the way, as the empire Walt has built is his greatest achievement in a life full of missed opportunities and regret. Walt moves to shoot Hank before Jesse steps in and kills Walter.
