Breaking Bad - Part 1

Any not to happy about the final season "split"?

I mean is it not really just two final seasons of 8 episodes? I'd rather have all 16 eps than only 8 and having to wait months again for the next summer premier for the next 8.

the biggest problem is the cliffhanger in the 8th episode . it will be big and insane. you all know it.

BB is way to tense to have a 6 months break. i will not survive this.

The split gives them extra time to tighten up the final 8 episodes, so I'm all for it.

I wish they just did 16 straight episodes.
I wish they either released all 16 episodes at once, or just did two full seasons of 12 and 12. If you're gonna split them up, might as well give us a full season, instead of 2 short ones. And yes, I know the split is still considered 1 season, but you get the picture.

Double the award nominations, double the Bluray sales, and fills the summer for 8 weeks in case other shows aren't ready to go there. It also allows the audience to grow more during the break and let new fans catch up.

AMC could move The Killing from spring to summer or even Mad Men back to that spot.

Pretty much every show that splits up a season has Part 1 and Part 2 sets and sometimes it will combine them later.

Well they should just admit it's a gimmick. I don't see why there would be any more continuity between the split season 5 than between season 3 and 4.

I think for legal and contractual reasons it was the "fifth" season so they don't have to give the cast and crew raises for the last 8 episodes but for the audience it will seem like a separate season.

I personally dislike when they split seasons up. Just call it Season 6, because that's what it's going to feel like to the general public. And I wish we didn't have to wait a whole nother year for the second half. They should take a three month break and then come right back. What they should do is make every episode two hours. But thats just me dreaming.

I personally don't feel that Breaking Bad is going to top its fourth season though.

Season premiere will commence on July 15th.

Some people who bought the Hell on Wheels DVD box set had the pleasure to find a flyer informing them that Breaking Bad season 5 is debuting on Sunday, July 15 on AMC !

Yes great news even tho I don't like the split it's great were going to have Breaking Bad this year. July is looking like a great month we have The Amazing Spider-man, The Dark Knight Rises and now Breaking Bad!!!

Breaking Bad is a masterpiece. but i dont know if i will be able to survive the 1 year break

Cool. Can anyone make out what that is above the title, though? Looks like some sort of teaser image...

To me it looks like Jessie and Walt in orange jumpsuits looking down into a vat of something. The camera is inside the vat looking up at them.

Why are they splitting it up, taking a year long gap, and still calling the episodes airing next year Season 5.

Or are they gonna call it Season 6

aka season 6 by any other name.

Honestly i can't think of anything plot wise that would make them halves other then seperate seasons? When season 4 took place literally right after season 3.
