The whole series of Breaking Bad is on sale on Amazon's VOD service. $16.99 for HD and $14.99 for SD for each season, except the first which is $9.99 for both. Not a great sale, but for those who are interested it's there.

I don't know why this just occurred to me, but if Breaking Bad was a film made in the '80s, Bill Murray should have played Saul.

That would have been the bomb, yo.

i could definitely see the bill as the saul.

i actually kinda realized that falling down is sorta like breaking bad, the movie, minus the drug making/selling.

And it would've been directed by the Coen brothers.

And John Goodman would've play Hank.

:ninja:

Bob Saget as Walt.

Eh. Pass on that. Get the kid from Parker Lewis Can't Lose.

And you know who would've been a better choice as Walt back then than Saget, as someone who, like Cranston, was also a former sitcom star who was able to pull off dramatic work as well?

I don't think 80's Williams did much drama yet?

If you've seen him in Good Morning Vietnam that was pretty much him for the whole decade in his roles.

He was pretty coked out during that period too I believe? so that played a part in his persona/acting.

Has Saget ever proven he has more depth than a comedian? Not necessarily knocking him, just curious. Robin Williams as Heisenberg would've been class, however.

I thought about him but ham was his schtick in the 80's. He probably wouldn't take the role. Saget, on the other hand loves playing an a-hole in his standup routines and would have loved a Walt role back then to distance himself from the saccharine Danny Tanner.

I thought Robin Williams cleaned up after Belushi died.

If any of you have seen the movie "One Hour Photo", the character Robin Williams plays is very dark. He's capable of playing Walter White-esque roles.

The Coens are pretty much the only people I would trust with a movie.

I guess other than Gilligan himself, though he has no real experience as a film director.

I think he's more than capable at this point. I wouldn't be surprised if he gravitates towards that path in his career in the future. At the very least, he could crank out some screenplays.

He has another TV series he's showrunning and also doing some work with Better Call Saul, so I don't think he's going to leave television anytime soon.
