Did it just not destroy everyone watching the scene when walt was talking to the kid he poisoned about his hospital stay?

Man that scene really brought back how low walt really is at this point. Really scuzzy on his part. It almost seems like the kid knew as well.

Anyone else unsettled at how Walt looked Brock when it was just the two of them on the couch. A kind of "you better **** kid or I come after you" look, he really has become a total scumbag.

3 episodes in and Season 5 is looking like it's going to be the best of them all. The early table-setting episodes have been exploding with quiet tension and whoa moments.

If the show finishes strong, we're looking at what is arguably the greatest series ever created on television. It would be damn near impossible to top at this point.

Another great episode, and the cooking scene was superb.

One of the things I really really like about this show is the little things, small hints or clues that you get from characters, shots and/or situations.
Its such a very rich show.

I don't think there is a word to describe how warped Walt has become. I got the impression that he's over the fact that he poisoned Brock and would do it again if he had to.

Has anyone noticed how dark the show is this season? Yes, it's already gotten very dark thematically here and there, but I mean literally dark. Like, it seems as if a lot more scenes are taking place at night, the sets are lit more darkly, a number of scenes have been very "shadowy", etc.

Saul sure does love that place.

The music was perfect for the moment, but the thing I loved is that they both deserved revenge...and the only person who came out with his life was perhaps the person who deserved his comeuppance the most.

The music was perfect for the moment, but the thing I loved is that they both deserved revenge...and the only person who came out with his life was perhaps the person who deserved his comeuppance the most.

Hell man, all three of them deserved revenge against each other...

• Gus against Hector for killing his boyfriend "parter"

• Hector against Gus for killing most of his faimily and associates

• Both of them against Walt for damn near ruining what they had going

• And Walt against both of them for constantly putting his life, Jesse's life, and his faimily's life in danger

I'm going to go out on a limb and say, yeah, Gus was a villain. Just because he was terrorizing another villainous character (Walt), doesn't make him any of less of bad guy.

Walt has yet to reach Gus villainy, but he's more unlikable.

Yeah, he's not on Gus' level yet, but Walt is a far cry from being a good guy. Shades of grey and what have you.

That's what I mean though, I mean they are as bad as each other. While Gus threatens Walt's family, Walt threatens Jesse's family. They're both bad dudes, with very sad historys.

There was almost a look of pride on his face as he stares at Brock - knowing that he pulled it off.

It's amazing how the show made you root for Gus when he was at the pool-party in Mexico, and then root against him by the finale. A good show can get you invested in a character, but it takes a truly great show (like this, Boardwalk Empire, Sopranos) to get you to swing from hating a character to supporting a character and back almost with every episode. I've hated and loved Walt. Sometimes I want Hank or Jesse to finally stop him for good. Other times I want him to be king.
