On another note, I've never actually seen Heat. I really needa get that in
Just thinking about it this is about the 3rd kid we've seen shot on AMC in a year. Probably a record for a network.

I think both of you are taking this show's "philosophy" too far here. I disagree that the show will present his killing as necessitous of their criminal affairs. If anything like several others here have said Todd is pretty much a psychopath for his action. The entire lack of hesitancy on his part shows that.
It wasn't a smart criminal move at all. If anything it puts so much more heat on them now. Again i will reiterate that kid being killed was not a "full measure" moment it was a we hired a psycho moment.
The kid was a witness to an act he had no comprehensions of whatsoever. I disagree that walt or mike will take todd's action as the right call. Mike is a smart man not a psychopath also both of them have soft spots for kids especially mike.
If anything mike and walt and jesse of course will feel the burden and guilt of hiring a psychopath to help them out.
It's a lot easier to get around the blabbering kid than to cover up his murder. It doesn't matter if the kid posed a threat. Jesse and Walt strictly told Todd, "No one knows this goes down, except us." When you tell a criminal that, they are going to take that to heart. You can't blame Todd for following orders. Maybe Jesse should have said, "No one can know this except us and little kids." But still, it was the right call to kill the kid. Was it the moral thing to do? No. But hey, there is no room for mistakes in this business, and when there is a mistake, the greater effect it will have on the surrounding people or area or whatever. Maybe they could have talked to the kid, but he is a witness forever, and what's to stop him from going home and telling friends or family? It had to be done.
I don't know why Jesse feels like he is a good guy when he's trying to protect kids. YOU'RE COOKING METH, JESSE! Do you not think that is ruining family's and other kids' life?! He really needs to get out of this business or Walt needs to tell him that the product they make destroys families daily.

Jesse is well aware he's a "bad guy" he's said it himself. Even criminals can have a code they follow though.
Really?! No one will be able to find the kids' body. So it really isn't hard to cover up his murder. He had no connection to Walt, Jesse, or Todd. A dead kid makes no noise. A live one does.
A criminal has a code to leave no witnesses. Or else they'd be in jail.
Look at the situation though, the kid would have a hard time even understanding what he witnessed. They could have given him any number of reasonable excuses for what they were doing.
Your second point is too ridiculous to respond to.

Exactly. Police pursuing a missing child is a much bigger problem than a robbery that may or may not have happened.Cops are gonna follow that kid's bike tracks.
Don't get me wrong. great Episode. But I loved the character drama and tension in Episode 4 a bit more than the action-y, heist-y stuff in Episode 5.Yeah, the kid knew nothing. I doubt he would've waved at them if he thought they were criminals. Even if he did talk, he'd have had a hard time getting people to care.Look at the situation though, the kid would have a hard time even understanding what he witnessed. ^^^^ This. Fact of the matter is it's harder to cover up a MURDER than it would be to manipulate a little kid. I don't care if kids are smart or what, it doesn't matter he didn't KNOW anything. What Todd did was the definition of evil. He will pay. This show keeps track of everybody's karma
It's funny but the point of "Fly" wasn't actually the Fly
