Breaking Bad - Part 3

Yeah, they ONLY give us the thing they've been teasing the entire series, the thing fans have wanted more than anything (except perhaps the death of Skyler for some fans). THE NERVE of those writers!

I don't know, I was just expecting
Hank finding out about Walter
to play out differently. It just felt rather lazy to me.

Those sound effects when the prisoners were being stabbed will haunt me for the rest of my days.

No no no. The way Hank found out was ****ing PERFECT. IMHO

I don't know. I liked the end scene, but I feel like there was so much reason to suspect Walt without needing the book. That Hank accidentally discovers this about Walt, rather than finding it out by investigation, isn't a bad thing. I guess in a way it's his big break in the case.

Walt is an idiot for leaving that book lying around. After that dinner in season 4 when Hank showed him Gale's notebook, Walt should have remembered and disposed of the Whitman book.

I love that after going though some serious planning to shut Mikes guys up, it's such a tiny thing that will bring Walt down.

Wow! Awesome end to an awesome season of the best show in the history of television! Well, IMO.

But I can't remember how he got that book. Wasn't the flashback Hank showing the book to Walt as part of the evidence he collected from Gale? How did Walt end up keeping the book?

My friend thinks it came from Gretchin Black (her maiden name).

Hmm, Gretchin Black, Walter White and in between them, Gray Matter, hmm.

No. It's clearly from Gale given the "To my other, W.W." or whatever it says. Im pretty sure that's it

Hank showed Walt the lab notes.

They were two separate items. A book given to Walt as a gift and Gale's journal. Two separate objects altogether

As I said. PERFECT. Especially given Hank as a character. If you think it doesn't seem plausible for Hank to figure everything out on the ****ter well, you guys must be missing out on a pretty fundamental part of life. Everybody thinks better when they're taking a dump, that's like, just a fact

I can't wait to see until Walt Jr. finds out, that wil probably turn his world upside down.

LOL, I was just going to post the same thing. :hehe:

Man I just don't know anymore. Ep 306, Walt meets Gale, Gale talks about a Whitman poem, Walt goes home and reads it in his book! He already had the book it seems.

So the Gretchen Black thing is possible? There is nothing in the note that completely gives away Gale writing it. I don;t remember learning Gretchen's middle name though, it would be a cop out anyway

Regardless of whether or not the book was from Gretchen or Gale, Hank's mind has at last made those connections and will continue to do so.

Seems plausible at least. Gretchen and Walt were an item at one point so the "To my other, W.W." could still work.

Yeah, and it fits with the general story telling this show has employed. There have been numerous coincidences that if they didn't occur would have made the story fall apart.

Crazy 8 escapes the basement only to run into Walt driving home, Walt running into Jane's dad at the bar(edit; actually this one might not have affected story much), Walt over hearing that the lawyer is about to flip.

I'm sure there are more coincidences, now, Hank puts the pieces together based on the incorrect assumption that GB is Gale.

And it takes away the "Walt leaves a book from Gale lying around where anyone could find it" sloppiness out of the equation.

Gilligannnnn!!!!

What about matching the handwriting?

Btw, was anyone else thinking what a great episode of Storage Wars it'll be if that storage unit goes unpaid? (presuming Skylar either dies or goes into hiding with Walt)

It says "To my other favorite W.W." so it could be from anyone.

Just glancing at the image earlier that featured Gale's W.W. in his writing it doesnt really match up to whats in Walt's book.
