Breaking Bad - Part 5

Been watching bloopers. They're just so damn awesome. It's so crazy seeing everybody just being themselves while still looking like their characters. "Don't hit me with your Emmy!" lmfao

I've got the feeling that Walt, Jesse, and Hank will not decide their personal ultimate fates.

I know we haven't even seen the final eight episodes yet, but who thinks this can finally nab the Best Drama Series Emmy?

Yeah, especially since this is the last chance to do so. I'm confident that the last batch of episodes will be awesome enough to warrant a win.

It just sucks that there are only 8 eps. The last season seemed to come and go so quickly with its 8 episodes.

For a fulfilling conclusion to everything they've built i'd think 10 episodes would be the absolute minimum?

Don't doubt these writers. They probably did the best they could with what they were given. It's certainly better than the truncated season AMC originally proposed. But I suppose we'll have to wait a month to see just how well these final eight wrap things up. I have faith.

On the plus side the action's going to have to start up right from the beginning. They left a lot of stuff hanging and they aren't to going to have the luxury of slow pacing it. I'm assuming no "fly" type episodes?

Indeed it will. And yeah, probably no bottle episodes like "Fly." I mean, Vince Gilligan has said that these last eight episodes are very fast paced and pack A LOT in. Should be interesting.

There's a real Los Pollos Hermanos restaurant/chain out there, is there not?

Would love to check that out...

I hope they don't try to pack too much in, honestly. Te last thing I want is anything to feel "rushed".

I get it though. This last season of Dexter so far hasn't really felt to final as say the final season of The Shield. I just want that feeling for these last eps of BB. That feeling of finality and everything that's been going on for years is about to come to a head. That's the feeling I want most definitely

It's weird to think of it this, but last year's episodes technically weren't a season. I think they want us to think of all of that as a season. It was obviously written with that big cliffhanger in the middle, but still, it's being produced as a single season. Which is why they keep saying 'the final episodes' as opposed to 'the final season'.

It wasn't produced as a single season though. This season's episodes we're filmed after last season's aired. It was a called a single super season at first when the order was placed by AMC, to make it seem like we got more bang for our buck.

However in the end it was really just two short 8 episode seasons. Frankly both season 2 and season 4 took place immediately after the end of their previous seasons, so they could arguably be seen as single seasons then.

I'm fairly sure you're wrong here. I think the production codes for last year's episodes and the upcoming ones all identify it as season five, not five and six. You can look at it this way, but technically, it's all being looked at as a single season unless this has changed recently.

I don't think they will. They have eight episodes to wrap things up, which I would think is a good amount over which to spread things out, even if the individual episodes are somewhat packed.

It's always been looked at as a single season. It always irritates me when people look at it as two separate seasons. They are not. They comprise one.

I wonder if anyone is out to avenge the death of Gus.

Doubtfully. Seems like that would be introduced at the beginning of the season if so. I think his brother was really his only family.
