Breaking Bad - Part 5

If they could have ever gotten Nic Cage to do TV he would have been out there in the role.

Good God, Nic Cage as Walter White could've been the best craziest thing ever. Well, depending on which Nic Cage showed up.

Oh, Jesus. Nic Cage from Bad Lt in a face off with full Heisenberg Walter White? The world just isn't ready.

Now that I think it about I just really want to see Nic Cage producing meth. Be it on tv, movies or even real-life?

heard that Cranston is being considered for the new Lex Luthor in the next superman

Man I've been saying this for like 2 or 3 years now. He'd own that ****. I still want Damian Lewis from Homeland though

Given his financial situation and that his recent filmography is pretty much doodoo, I'm really surprised Cage hasn't locked down a TV role.

I wonder how many people were saying the same **** when they announced Cranston for the role, though? "Oh, the dad from Malcom in the Middle? I can't see him doing a serious show." Not trying to defend a potential cast of Broderick or anything, but you never know.

I agree with this. I wouldn't trade Cranston for anything, but you can't say with absolute authority that every actor's interpretation of WW would have been worse.... just different and alien to what we've grown to love. But on the other hand, I really can't see Broderick in this role. Cusack maybe.

Maybe in some wacky alternate universe, people are watching Steve Buscemi play WW on Breaking Bad, and Cranston is playing Nucky Thompson on Boardwalk Empire.

Heh, I can see Broderick in the role, MUCH more than Cusack. Yes, it would've been a TOTALLY different show than what we had, but it would have been interesting. I can see it, but it would have been completely different.

decided I will do a full series rewatch after the new episodes come out, like immediately after haha

I plan on watching the whole series again. But starting from the fifth season and then going backwards.

It'll be about a meth dealer who decides to retire and become a high school chemistry teacher.

You win this thread.

I just a scene by scene breakdown of the first episode. HOLY! I can't wait!

Has there ever been a more hotly anticipated season of a tv show?

Lost was everywhere when people were waiting on that.

But even then by seasons 5 and 6 people were starting to become tired of LOST. Overall anticipation was still sky-high, but it seemed like people just wanted the show to end.

Breaking Bad has been like a freight train that hasn't slowed down.

I agree with Lost (at least the season 3-4 wait with the flash-forward reveal). I'd also add the wait for new Sopranos seasons. And I remember as a kid everyone in my school going crazy after the second season finale of X-Files.

Ack so much for my resolve to stay away from the thread for 3 days. Couldn't even make it 3 hours. :(

EDIT: Oh and everyone wanted to know who shot Mr Burns on the Simpsons. Maybe I'm showing my age...

I haven't found any real spoilers just a rehash of the 'fake spoilers' I have found onjecture on Walt's end but that is all.

I know the whole break down of the premiere, at least I'm 99% sure I do. Everything sounds legit. Plus, what I read wasn't incredibly detailed
