I loved that as well but damn is it ever heard to tell when or even if Walt is ever genuine. It was like he was an abused kid or some **** in that hug scene. Like, I do think Walt in his own twisted way does love Jesse or he did at least. But it's just a toxic kinda of controlling love that is all about Walt and not actually about Jesse's own well being. Come to tho k of it upon my last rewatch I remember commenting on how abusive Walt always was to Jesse and it really is true. They have a very abusive relationship and Walt's overpowering ego coupled with Jesse's own vulnerability and fragility after everything just kept him feeling like he needed Walt. Of course the first instances of this all falling apart for Jesse at least was after he had to kill to save Walt and subsequently his own life.

walt is just a ****.in psychopath...i love him. never thought he actually could step up another level...but i mean he literally fu.cked hank and jesse in this episode..

That's what makes it so scary. He is such a good manipulator that he can convince anybody with anything. I truly believe that he does care for Jesse in his own sick way, but I also believe that the person talking to Jesse was not Walt, but Heisenberg.

I'll be surprised if Hank can really recover from this because like he essentially said in the episode it was the final blow to him.

i still often read that people separate walter and heisenberg. in the beginning, i agreed with that, but people should realize by now that there is actually no heisenberg, it's walter. he created heisenberg not only because to have an alias for the drug business, but to actually lie to himself and go home and pretend that he is actually a great guy. walter has a personality disorder, and that was caused because most of the time in his life he never really could "live free"...a psychopath simple as that. he accepted this now. walter white from the pilot and the first season is dead and never will come back...actually he never really existed in the first place to be honest...it was just something he pretended to be.

Walt really is an evil bastard, that "confession" for me is right up there in the list of reprehensible acts he's committed.

Then there's Jesse. :csad: I think there was a time when Walt cared a lot about him, but IMO there is no sincerity in him anymore.

I feel more bad for Jesse than ever before and that's saying something. I really hope he's the one to put an end to Walter.

he called him son many times.
but in this recent episode, you clearly could see how he manipulated both "sons", walter jr. in the beginning and jesse in the end.

will be interesting to see what jesse will do now. will he try to take him down alone or go to hank...

btw, drew sharp had an appearance in this episode too.

I wonder though, is Jesse going to team up with Hank or not?

I think maybe Hank is who he was talking to in the preview when he said "Mr. White...he's the devil." The clip they showed with that audio was him walking away from what appeared to be the DEA building.

I'm starting to think it's just a matter of time before Jesse finds out about Jane. He already knows about Mike and Brock.

That's excusing his actions. "Gee, I didn't poison a kid or blow up a nursing home. That was my evil alias!" Please. You make it sound like he has a split-personality, but he doesn't. Walt has always been Heisenberg and Heisenberg has always been Walt.

It's possible but the only way I think he could know for sure is if Walt actually tells him. Even in his paranoia about Walt, Jesse would be making a pretty big leap to assume Walt killed her, given the way she died.

However, given Walt's pride, I could see him getting into a really bad fight or argument with Jesse in which he just blurts it out in order to verbally destroy him. Something like:

Jesse: You sick bastard! You're a murderer and a psychopath!

Walt: Oh yeah?! You don't know the half of it, you little sh**. Remember Jane? That was no accident.

This show better get its Best Series award at the Emmys this upcoming year...Give it its sendoff that it deserves like Return of the King got for Lord of the Rings

Homeland robbed it last year

I'm not surprised. I'm convinced the Emmy judges vote on shows without bothering to watch all the nominations. Or they just gravitate towards whatever's hot at the moment and are never ahead of the curve. Comparing Homeland to Breaking Bad is like comparing a hotdog to filet mignon.

Well, it could have been worse. At least it wasn't Dexter. :o

I can't take the Emmys all that seriously when they nominate ever goddamned actor from Modern Family year after year.

And you know, on another note, I had completely forgotten about Hank's hospital bills and the fact that he hadn't the slightest clue who paid for it. Marie must be thinking to herself "gambling money? GAMBLING MONEY??! How could I have EVER believed that?? $177,000?!"

it was weekly/monthly pay and overall the amount was $177,000. she didnt pay the amount in full. cut her some slack too, her husband was severe injured. almost died.

LOL, I was amazed she believed that story even as Skylar told it. Who the heck wins that kind of money on a regular basis anyhow?

Oh No, I cut her a ton of slack, i'm just saying, in retrospect, gambling winnings sounds like such a weak, obvious cover up and I'm sure she's kicking herself for buying such a ridiculous story.

Sounds like Skylar wants Jesse dead in the promo...

Walt hugging Jesse was like Voldemort hugging Draco in the last Harry Potter movie. So awkward.

:funny:

Now Kane has to make comparison gifs for both of those moments. :woot:

On another note, I never realized how much taller Marie is than Hank until this episode. He looks like a hobbit standing next to her!
