does anyone think bumblebee is "asian" besides me? by "asian," i mean he took in asian culture; kinda like how jazz took in black culture. i mean c'mon, who the heck asks permission to speak besides asians?

he's yellow, he has an accent, and he's pretty short. after all he's "probably japanese." the only thing that makes him not asian is his big eyes.

And the fact that he talks with an English accent. Jazz wasn't much taller than BB, but like humans, Autobots and Decepticons come in all shapes and sizes. As for the asking for permission to speak, he's an old warrior asking his commanding officer for a favor, it's best to show some respect to the person you're asking the favor of.

Man, now I get the feeling that when Sam's face lights up as he first grabs the wheel of the new Bumblebee, Shia LaBeouf wasn't acting.

I can understand why they didn't show off the interior more though... After all, it's a MOVIE, not a Chevy commercial.

Personally, I think the context Bay used the song in was way more effective than how Quentin Tarantino used it in Kill Bill.

I will have a better idea on Saturday when I see the film but I cannot wait to hear the "Permission to Speak sir" line. He knows he doesn't have to ask for permission but because he hasn't been able to speak for years and the other Autobots haven't heard him speak for years the first thing Bumblebee wants to say is "permission to speak sir" to Prime. Awesome
