Transformers Bumblebee Appreciation Thread

I was looking at some Transformers stuff and clicked on a link wondering who this "Mark Ryan" person was who voiced Bumblebee...

Then the shock of realization hit me.

I used to watch a show called "Robin of Sherwood" which to this day I still think is one of the best incarnations of Robin Hood ever committed to the screen, big or small. Mark Ryan played a character called Nasir, a Saracen swordsman who basically filled role of "coolest mysterious character" within the ranks of Robin's band of rogues. He seldom spoke a word - Just unsheathed the two swords he had strapped across his back and got down to business.

I wonder how many TF fans will try to get the 08' Camaro when it comes out?

It looked really cool, but I prefer my car actually...and I can assure people that they will be problems when it comes out.

It's an American made car, unfortunately that doesn't equate with quality any more. As flashy as the car is, it's completely impractical for my needs.

Bumblebee was the second best Transformer in the film. You really felt like he would die for Sam and he took down Barricade which was awesome. His and SAm's relationship really carried the weight of the movie and it was very Speibergian.

Also he was the one to finish off Brawl...not an easy feat.

9/10!!!

liked bumblebee a great deal in the film, really didn't like his voice at the end though.

Agreed, I hated when he actually spoke. I'd rather him talk through the radio or do those cute beeps and whirrs.

When that chase sequence with Barricade began, I was so hyped up. The whole audience was cheering. Then just when you're getting into the fight, they cut to the other scene. Very disappointing Still the standoff between the two was cool. I loved Bumblebee!

I think they could only afford so much in the budget to show those fights.

Totaly agree with this, other than OP he was the best TF and his relationship with Sam carried the movie. Plus, their relationship REALLY added emotion to the movie which is essential IMO

Loved the scene were his legs are blown off and Sam tells him he wont leave him.

I loved the way the doors on his back came up to look like wings, those gave as much indication as much as his 'boxing love' that his name was worthy of him.

they should have made him more of a physical fighter though to establish this but again, teh wings on his back are awesome.

Yeah, its a shame we never got to see him subdue Barricade, would have loved to have seen that whole fight. Hope they have a re-match in TF2 as they seem evenly matched.

Yeah, i really thought him and Sam brought heart to the film, i nearly cheered when Bumblebee saved Sam and Mikaela falling from Optimus on the bridge, and i nearly cheered once again when Sam ran at the Sector 7 guys who were hurting Bumblebee.

The ironic thing is that Bumblebee was probably one of the original Autobots that I leasted liked. So the movie definately changed my mind in that regard.

The one thing that I was kind of iffy on was Mark Ryan's voice. Bumblebee should've had a younger sounding voice, IMO.

I didnt mind his voice so much. It seemed to fit with his loving and protective nature. And i liked the fact that he could turn badass when he wanted to.
