BvS BvS Rottentomatoes score - how important will it be, and what do you hope for? - Part 1

I have been on the side of ignoring Rotten Tomatoes.

However this is really bad so far. If this continues I don't see how the DCEU can. No film series gets a 10-20% tomato meter and continues. Critics don't ALL have a bias.

I'm shocked. I was expecting mixed reviews but this is a bloodbath.

JLA is DOA it seems.

Hopefully, I'll enjoy the film but my hype has been killed.

If we're being honest here, his review was written long before he saw the film.

He does have a history of backtracking, though. He took huge collective ****s on Daredevil prior to its first season debut, but backtracked a little in his review. If it had been good, even a little in his eyes, I think he might have at least been a little less harsh

One huge difference I'm noting between this and Man of Steel is the positives are not nearly as glowing. That should be hugely concerning to those who enjoyed MoS, because at least the ones who reviewed it positively gave it a lot of praise.

Its insane. I have been turned off by everything I have seen about this movie. But even I can say that sample size of 10 critics is not a real indicator. Meanwhile, you have people who have been venomously defending every aspect of this movie calling for Snyder's head over 10 bad reviews.

A similar thing happened with Whedon. We fans are a fickle lot.

Well mos started off with close to 10 fresh reviews on the bounce, theoretically, this situation could be the inverse. But I doubt that.

Didn't expect this, I'll be honest. Can those who saw it here elaborate on why there seems to be such a big divide between critics and the rest? knowing of course the movie isn't out yet but still. I can see myself seeing the movie and thinking why the hell is the score so low?

Ok, I'm not really a fan of MOS and Snyder at all, and so wasn't expecting a lot from this. "Expecting the worst, but hoping for the best" is the phrase. I mean... its Batman vs Superman! Why would ANY comic fan not want it to be awesome? If it's just a pretty good solid movie I'll be happy enough.

This is still very early, it WILL go up, I'm sure! But even the Fresh review up is basically saying "Well.. its better than MOS at least" though. I doubt it'll reach 60.

Glad they're already far enough into develop of the WW movie that this won't effect that one though, especially as it sounds like she's one of the best bits in this film.

I believe they've started filming JL already (correct me if I'm wrong) so we'll be getting that. Maybe they'll just pause to see if there are lessons they can learn.

It's not that hard of a concept.

Do these reviews blow? Yeah. But that isn't gonna deter me from being there opening night hyped as ****.

Transformers and teenage mutant ninja turtles would like a word with you. Box office determines whether a series continues. Not the RT score.

I had some fun opening rotten tomatoes on 3 different browsers with all 3 at 5 positive, 15 negative, which is 25% positive so far.

Firefox: 29%
Chrome: 0%
IE: 20%.

I don't agree with this. The movie is going to make bank, despite the reviews. Will the film make money with the massive budget? That's another question, but unless the film opens south of $150M which would be shocking based on the tracking and the lack of anything else to see other than Zootopia, the film should make enough back to warrant future films.

What will change is no Snyder, and a new writing team.
