Even DC cast is getting in on it too. Unless people think he was paid to... say this?

Wow. Source?

Don't really see that as an indictment. If you know Shannon you know he always gives those offbeat answers on interviews.

Think you're reaching a little on that one.

yeah, lol, that's not a scandal brewing, that's michael shannon's personality. go back and watch his reactions to mos interviews. the guy was in it for the paycheck and he's refreshingly honest.

I know him in real life too bud. He lives a dozen blocks away from me. He's got a great, sardonic sense of humor. Which applies here. The thing about sarcasm and irony? They're humor to purposefully mask sincerity

Yes it does, applying to him not really caring about a superhero fight. Again, you're reaching. But do ask him next time you have brunch.

Dude don't get your feeling so hurt. Seriously. I shared it cause it's hilarious

You know what sucks?

I'm watching SR and I can remember everyone complaining about how gloomy he was in this movie at the time.

Now he seems almost too fun.

I get the impression that Eisenberg was just in it for the money, too.

i'd honestly love it if singer worked in this universe of superman atleast his films are structured and have a great pace and top notch editing not to mention he puts in levity in the midst of a serious tone

Superman Returns was terrible. For being a remake-in-disguise ("Fool me once!"), it beat The Force Awakens to the punch by ten years. It's 1/100 the movie that Superman '78 is. "Great pace and top-notch editing"? Please tell me that's a joke. Minus the plane rescue, watching an anthill is more exciting.

It sucks that Singer's back to handling mutants for Fox (why did Vaughn have to leave?), but since those are the characters I care the least for, at least that will keep him busy and far away from other CBM properties.

Yup, it's better to have Snyder than Singer :o

Just got back from watching it.

I have collections of mostly Batman (Hush) as well as Superman comics (Death of Superman, Four Supermen that followed that event). Some of my thoughts on the movie:

In a nutshell, it made me feel a similar way to how I felt after watching the Power Rangers Bootleg Universe (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vw5vcUPyL90). Except that had more character development and a better script.

Ben Affleck was one of the better Batmans. I appreciate the voice, his portrayal is in the top 3 big screen Batmans.

They should have cut out everything before the Martha Kent kidnapping. I enjoyed most everything from that point on except the funeral procession. If the film started at that point, I would give the movie a solid 7/10. There was so much filler.

Every time Lex opened his mouth was cringeworthy. I prefer the Lex as portrayed in Smallville the TV series.

The extra scenes with JL members felt shoehorned in really not necessary. Feels like a rush job without getting the audience invested in the characters. The dream sequences were very awkward and out of left field in a bad way. Zero context.

Overall I felt the film lacked heart. There's little to no emotional investment in the characters. I didn't feel any connection to the characters - no humanity in them. Unfeeling.

Not Snyder's best direction. Still beautifully shot, but I expected more iconic scenes that should have burned into my brain from him.

Very disappointed in the plot. There were countless ways to do this story better. Felt like a wasted opportunity.

I don't know if the jar of piss was a metaphor for something, but the British have a saying 'taking the piss', which means to "be Making fun of something or someone." I feel like Snyder did just that. Taking the piss out of Superman. And all of his fans.

I won't be willing to watch this a second time from start to finish.

Not as bad as Fantastic Four but worse than Green Lantern.

5/10

Rotten Tomatoes may get a lot of movies wrong, there's no doubt about that.

But I agree with the critical assessment that BvS is approximately half as good as MoS.

Lack of establishing shots doesn't matter to people who have no real structural foundation for judging a movie's mechanics.

I how people just throw around random expressions and concepts without really going into detail why something is a problem and why can't somone watch it and understand better than they did.

The poll at SHH's front page is worse. Majority of the voters voted for 0%. So I guess it isn't just the critics.

Singer is a great film-maker, Snyder could be an Oscar-worthy director of photography.

Only if the Oscar commitee likes his muted colors which doesn't give justice to the cinematography's work.

Nah he'd be fine. Because he won't get to make those decisions himself. Any decent director would make him cut that crap out

It isn't just the critics. But is it the majority of the people who watched the movie? Or is it like 25-30%?
