Days of Future Past Caleb Landry Jones cast as Banshee

There's a pretty nice one of him on X-Men Movies' Facebook page. Too bad it can't be found anywhere else.

So any chance for a little part in DOFP now that we know Havok is in it..?

A few months ago CLJ said that he wouldn't be returning.

Well on the Trask viral site it mentions sonar being a mutant ability. That is one of Banshee's abilities, so personally, I think it hints at him. Caleb said he wouldn't be returning, but didn't the dude playing Havok say the same thing back then? I really think he'll return in DOFP.

Actually Lucas Till was the only one from the First Class cast (except for the core four) who didn't say anything if he's gonna be in DOFP or not.

Lucas till was spotted on set so we got a tipoff before officially announced as returing on twitter.

Outside of main 4 the first class cast had been saying they eather won't be returning or not asked to return except for Till who said I can't say anything.

I wouldn't expext anyone else from first class In DOFP.

Please, Lord. Let it be a hint. Even if he's been recasted to be older (although I would prefer CLJ back).

Ok can someone save me and post the pic of the sonar mutation from the Trask website?

So does he ever loose his voice in the comics from screaming too much?

He lost his voice in the comics, yes. He used his scream to counteract the frequency of a seismic energy beam projected by Moses Magnum in X-Men 119 (published back in 1979) and the strain caused him to lose his sonic powers for a long time.

It's not.

And there was the time that Mystique slit his throat, damaging his vocal cords I believe, which caused his powers to be lost for awhile, and never fully recovered, I think, which lead to his death when he tried to stop a jet with them, but they weren't powerful enough, and it crashed into him.

I really wish he was. He was a great Banshee and made him a likeable character.

I have faith that he'll be back eventually. If not in this one. One movie is really short-siding the character of Banshee.

Im sure he will return too. and more than likely in next FC sequel.

To me, it would be Awesome to see a team of young Cyclops, Jean, Beast, Banshee and Havok.

It would be pretty close to the actual original five, so seeing young Cyclops, Jean and Beast sharing scenes, would be pretty iconic and special to me, since Im now riding 60's x-men so Im pretty familiar with them right now. And Banshee, being a flying mutant and the comedic member of the team (more or less) would work somehow as Angel and Bobby at the same time. And Havok being there too would mean some stuff going on between Alex and Scott so that would make Cyclops kind of a pivotal role, if you ask me.

So... taking all of this into account, Im already anticipting FC3. I think it will be pretty special

Please be right.

If he's not in this movie, I will have a hard time seeing him back in the movies after DOFP.

You think Banshee will be back? Where will he have been all this time?

Banshee and havok left to have their own life... We find out about havoks in DOFP, but Are we saying if a mutant doesn't return in the direct sequel to the last film they were in they cant come back or make an appearance in another? O.o

that's the writers and Bryan's work, not mine :woot:

I think Bryan could give a mention of him in DOFP, so whenever he is right now, he could help the X-Men in another moment of his life, if needed.

guestStar made a point. Characters come and go in the comics and movies, so Banshee could appear again, if Bryan wanted.

The series doesn't have a good track record for being gone one film and not
coming back.

He could come back as an older, seasoned character in FC3, with a new actor in the role unless they can age the actor about 20 years convincingly. But I don't see the point. I like the Mystique kills him, or damages him angle. Really would show the change in character over an eleven year time period. But it doesn't really add much to the saga either way. He was cool in FC, but not someone I am dying to see again.
