Days of Future Past Caleb Landry Jones cast as Banshee

he had such an interesting accent in this.
seeing as how his daughter is in X2, I wonder if he hooks up with moira?

He really did love fish.

I thought he was just so hot. Ugh. :o:(

I loved Jones in this. "Daaaammmnn. I want to be called Mystique." AWESOME.

Its amazing how little screentime this guy got, and he still made a positive impact on the film. Banshee was awesome.

And its great that, as awkward as he is with girls in this film, siryn being around in x2 means that he'll turn out alright in the ladies department, lol. I just hope its not with movie moira. I'd much prefer Charles and Moira together.

I actually have a very hard time imagining this Banshee hooking up with Moira. :funny:

Though if this is accurate to the films or even the comics then we already know Charles is not going to end up with Moira.

What surprised me was how together Banshee was. The other recruits seemed to still be a bit shaky during the last fight, but Banshee was kicking some major ass. He just seemed more in control than the others.

One of my only problems with this movie is that he was still able to fly with Havok hanging on to arm. His "wing" or whatever wasnt even spread out. My disbelief can only be suspended so far.

Yeah, I'm surprised they didn't spread out his hands in that scene. It didn't bother me that much though. In the comics he usually holds people with both arms.

I've always been a fan of Banshee from Gen X. I'm glad he was featured in a movie. I never thought he would be. I thought the character was handled great and he was my favorite character in the film behind Mags.

He is the strongest X-kid!

I didn't read through the entire board but I thought Banshee making the sign of the cross (as most Christians, or at least most Catholics do) was a nice touch. I think this might have been when they first talked him into being able to fly, by the window.

Banshee = Catholic = Irish

I loved Banshee. He was humorous without being hammy, he kicked some ass and had some of the coolest special effects scenes in all of the X-Men movies. I had some serious doubts about how his power would work on screen, but the visuals really worked.

I'd like to see him in a sequel.

Banshee jumping out of the window and falling into the bushes was very hilarious.

I loved Jones as Banshee brought just some life to a roll not many probably know about, plus that accent and tom foolery attitude really helps him stand out amongst the fellow mutants.

I really just dug the moment when he took his big jump (or push thanks to Magneto) off the satellite and he was rocking those trademark wings...cool moment to see.

And he was a major goof! Between the terrible pick-up lines and the fuzzy hair he put in an excellent performance. They need Banshee to be in a sequel.

Banshee and Moira, now thats funny :D. Not that I wouldnt like to see it, but its just funny :awesome:

Anyways, loved Banshee, cant wait to see more from him

Gotta stick with my original fear and complaint, lack of irish accent. But I can almost see why the picked this kid to play him, his natural voice is so weird and almost distorted sounding that it could have passed for a sloppy americanized irish voice. Still, everyone in my theater shared a rotten sigh when our mutant icon showed up speaking like just another yank. Still loved the film though

While I do get what you're saying, and I thought the same thing, it was just a little hint. Not all of us are ginger catholics. I'm a brown-haired atheist, for example xD

Banshee's powers would have worked on Shaw imo

Banshee looked stoned out of his mind all the time until the middle of the movie, it was hilarious. :woot: I loved him.

Probably one of the best scene in the movie for me was when Banshee was about to jump the Blackbird and Charles grabbed him and said "Remember...it's a muscle. I'll be inside your head all the time". Gave me goosebumps, it was such an important teacher/student encouraging moment. Much love for both of them. :hrt:

Its the 60's...so looking stoned out of his mind, actually makes him seem of the era.

I really like this character too; kind of a goofy stoner mutant, which is 100% more interesting than Havoc was. I kind of get the feeling that he, like Angel, are essentially millenial characters thrown into the 1960s for some reason, but I think that's part of the charm of both characters, and I hope to see them again.

He has to come back for the sequel, not only does he like fish but he can fly and he's a major goof. What more can you ask for? XD
