The Dark Knight Rises Call backs.

Bruce telling Ra's "I watched you die" the same way tells Ra's men in BB at his birthday party

Miranda said something about "balance" early on that harkened back to Ra's speech about "justice is balance" - not exact callback but a nod, and the first clue [blackout]to who she was.[/blackout]

Miranda also told Bruce to "do what is necessary" ^similar to what you've said here, in the same vein

Gordon wanting to know who Batman was before he took the bomb away as Batman gave him a hint, it kinda reflected how Rachel said "You could die, at least tell me your name." and so on. "..Bruce Wayne?"

Wayne Enterprises board member "Fredericks" from Batman Begins was back. By the way, I just found out that actor is actually Christopher Nolan's uncle.

Blake becomming Robin/new
Batman call back to harvey dents speech saying bruce cant be batman forever and needs someone to take up his mantle

The "and must be allowed to die" from Ras is a callback to Begins.

His first suit being able to stop a knife but Fox saying he's more vulnerable with the recent one. So naturally Tate is able to stop him.

Don't think this one counts but. Alfred telling him to avoid landing on his head and we go on to see Bane break his cowl with his punches. Not the same thing as landing on your head.

The thin needle like batarang/calling card going into the back of the goons neck... The batman begins one at falcones dock scene

Bruce's speech about "As a symbol I'm incorruptible, I can't be killed...etc" pretty summed up the ending to this movie.

Not sure if that counts.

I wasn't expecting to see such a device in the movie. I thought the EMP gun was going to be it in terms of new stuff. So I was glad to see it.

Lol his reaction was priceless... Like forrest gump: "ow! Something bit me!"

Miranda Tate's scar [BLACKOUT]which she said was an "old mistake" was I thought a wound she got during her final test of training with the league. IE, how Bruce got cut on the arm and Ra's used that to find him again - only Bruce had cut two other guys to be decoys and thus left no sign - I imagine Talia didn't do such, and that's the old mistake scar she had.[/BLACKOUT]

I've got a few more but I've forgotten them, but I re-watched Begins again tonight (was on TV, figured "what the hell") and I picked up on two or three more...

During the finale with Blake and the orphans he says:

"Hey you, you and you" ala Gordon in TDK.

Bruce wearing the cape and cowl ala Begins and TDK... :o

I'm pretty sure it was [blackout]the mark of the League of Shadows, one that you branded with after passing all your tests. Remeber how Ken Wantanabe has the poker in the coals while waiting for Bruce to execute the farmer? After he did that, "Ra's Al Ghul" would have branded him with their mark.[/blackout]

But she specifically said it was a mistake. Why would she consider that a mistake? Where as if it had been from the test... that would have been a mistake.

I was thinking more along the lines of [BLACKOUT] since her mother was pregnant with her in the pit, it was a C-section scar, as they cut her mother open to deliver they obviously cut too deep and scarred the child.[/BLACKOUT]

BB: "WHERE WERE THE OTHER DRUGS GOING?!?!"
TDK: "WHERE ARE THEY?!?!"
TDKR: "WHERE'S THE TRIGGER?!?!"

They may not be callbacks, but it felt good to hear Batman interrogate people about certain whereabouts :awesome:

Also, one of the goons turning around to find an upside-down Batman surprise right behind him was cool.

And I guess Catwoman disappearing was a callback. "So that's what that feels like..."

I'd like to see someone do a little thing of Bats saying "No guns. No killing", with a clip of him shooting the truck driver while in The Bat.

"Where are you?"
"Here."

"He's right behind you."
"Who?"
"Me."

Alfred arguing with Bruce about getting into a showy confrontation with the police, which leads into a personal spat where both men part bitterly.

John Blake kneeling down when bats circled him, then getting back up the same exact way as Bruce Wayne in BB; even carrying an identical light.

Bruce Wayne faking his death, that happens in The Dark Knight Returns also.
