Another future role of hers that subverts the female on-screen stereotype? Captain Marvel.
"I'm a very private person and I'm not interested in making films because I want my face to be plastered on more things," said the Sacramento, Calif., native.
"I'm very choosy about what it is that I do, but what I've found with films like 'Short Term 12' and with 'Room' was that it really spoke to people deeply and it was changing people. That was so powerful and so strong, I went, 'Well this is what I want to dedicate my life to.'
"So when the opportunity came to play (Captain Marvel), this symbol of feminism, to play this empowering role for women and it's on kind of arguably the biggest platform that we have right now, it's undeniable that this is an important step and I want to be a part of it."
Well, Infinity War starts filming in a couple of months if I'm not mistaken... Coindidence? I think not.
I know many people would disagree with me on this but I think it's because while the MCU is canon with Agent of Shield, Agent of Shield is not canon with the MCU, at least not so far... if that makes any sense.
Personally I wouldn't want them to go that route because 1) I don't care for AoS and I don't want to be forced to watch it and 2) I don't want Captain Marvel to be an Inhuman.

Even if it eventually explains how she got her powers, the resulting amnesia because the researchers misdiagnosed what she was going through so wasn't aware it was granting her powers instead of hallucinations and have her operating as Ms Marvel in New Jersey so when Kamala gains her abilities via those fish pills she has her hero to inspire her as Carol becomes Captain Marvel as part of Tony Stark's new Avengers team?
Sigh and I thought Arrow had problems with DC along comes Marvel to show they can mess up as well!![]()
Diane. My fan cast for Jessica is Diane Guerrero- she's a great actress and looks JUST as I imagine Jessica.
I think she's pretty hilarious in Jane the Virgin, and her banter skills sure are on point. I could definitely see her in the role.
It would make Tony's PTSD feel like a joke in comparison. The Avengers TV show recently debuted her, and gave her origin as her being an Air Force officer who was kidnapped by aliens that did genetic experiments on her. I wonder if they'll go with something similar for the movie.
That's the words I'd use to describe it too.Eh, that sounds like it'd be an unnecessarily traumatic backstory.

I like it a lot. Finally a manip that uses the McKelvie design. And look at that face... yep, that's exactly the face of someone who's just burned down an entire neighborhood.

Yeah but realistically that would leave us with a very broken protagonist, wouldn't it.
Krees would be involved so I'm going to assume not very well. Yes, you heard that right, I'm Kreecist.Depends on how it goes down.
