Here's a Marvel Character that may show up that we haven't even mentioned could be in this movie:

He would be in his late 20's early 30's when the film starts.
It was Higher, Further, Faster, More. Why?Does anyone remember the CM comic series Brie was reading on a couch that was posted awhile back?
Hopefully as much as Alicia Vikander did for Tomb Raider. How ripped is Brie gonna have to get for this role?

Yes surely. She'll no doubt be in Avengers Four at least.
How ripped is Brie gonna have to get for this role?
This might be arguably the biggest film ever for a female lead (at least physically speaking)
Not sure if it's been posted here, but it's confirmed. Carol will not be in Infinity War. Welp. Why is life so hard?

Didn't Carol have a relationship with him..? If he's in the movie, they could have a relationship in the beginning, then she comes back to the modern world and sees how old he's become...![]()
If he survives Infinity War.
But Marvel also announced that the movie will see Captain Marvel facing off against the Skrulls, a pairing that likely points to Marvels real plans for the film. The Skrulls are a race of shapeshifters that, in the comics, have invaded and very nearly taken over Earth. Theyre the kind of threat that, at the height of their powers, requires the Avengers working with other teams like the X-Men to stop, and the fact that Danvers may be fighting them off alone is a way of establishing just how powerful the character is.
Heh, that would be cool... moderately cool. Just as long as their relationship stays dead once they meet again in the modern timeline.Didn't Carol have a relationship with him..? I'm really glad the Skrulls are involved. For some reason I had thought that Fox had rights to them but maybe that is just SuperSkrull.I enjoyed this article so I'm sharing it.
Setting Captain Marvel in the '90s hints at how much she matters
Considering we've never heard Rhodey mention the love of his life that disappeared in space or whatever, I think the best route to go in would be if they had just casually dated back in the 90's and had the rapport of friendly exes when she disappeared. That way they have a bit of history, but not enough for there to be risk of them wanting to "rekindle" everything now with the giant age gap.
No, reread my post - I said he's NEVER mentioned this. Which is why I don't think they should have been some kind of grand romance if they had a thing in the 90's. Just make it something that happened and was casual, and then she disappeared.wait when did he mention this? in the comics?

If she was the love of his life who mysteriously disappeared, it would be more than just some "past love," it would be something impossible to forget and simply move on from. There would be a part of him that would forever need to find her and find out what happened to her, and it would surely have come up in some conversation with his best friend when talking about Pepper/the love of HIS life. That's like a HUGE trauma. If they were just casual though, and possibly weren't even dating at the time, then I'd see it the way you do. And that's fine. And as I said, I'd prefer it anyway, so they wouldn't be trying to rekindle it in present day. I just don't think it should be presented as some grand romance (ala Peggy/Steve) is all.Why would he talk about past loves? Rhodey has always been a supporting character and hasnt had much backstory given. I dont see where a past love would have been relevant enough to be brought up in. Like we didnt know Hawkeye had a wife and kids until we did. If they go there with Rhodey, it'll be the same thing. I dont want them to have been involved but he never mentioning Carol before doesnt mean anything in terms of a relationship not havent been a thing

We'll just have to agree to disagree. It's such a random hypothetical scenario I don't feel like it's worth getting into a debate over, lol. Suffice it to say, I hope it doesn't happen.thats good motivation for why she wouldnt have been brought up. If losing her hurt him so bad, he may have closed off and not want to bring that up with anyone bc it triggers emotions he had put to rest. With that said, again he was never a lead character and I dont see where this would have been relevant. He's not on Captain America's level where we got deep insight into his past and what makes him the man he is today. In context with how he was utilized in the IM films and CW, it would have been out of place. Most people by his age had a great love; just bc you dont hear about them, doesnt mean they didnt exist.
