Cast the live-action Legend of Zelda movie

well if you've played the most recent Castlevania, the ending hints that the next game could take place in modern day, but who's to say that the makers of the film adaptation are smart enough to even play the game before making the film.

I never heard that James Wan was involved... though that wouldn't exactly thrill me. He's a decent director but to do Castlevania right, you need to make it a period film... I would worry that a guy like Wan would set it in modern times. Maybe not, though.

Paul Walking Suckfest Anderson was definitely planning to do that though... it was going to be set in the present, the main character was going to be some hot chick, and Jonathan Frakes was going to play Dracula. I wouldn't even waste my time watching a piece of sh** like that for free when they play it on SyFy, five years after its direct-to-DVD release.

.........lol, that sounds utterly dreadful. His video game adaptations are becoming quite predictable, and let me guess...if this film would have been produced, they would have been shooting hordes of monsters only to find the Vampire Killer Whip and that would have been the ultimate weapon :whatever:

While we all patiently await the announcement of a (hopefully good) live action Legend of Zelda movie, here's a little something you all to enjoy. I hope this brings you guys a smile like it did for me. :)

:lmao: I'd watch it.

I was a part of making this

Part of the problem is that a live action Ganon with gray skin and red hair looks stupid. They should just let him look like a normal human being. He should probably have tanned/olive skin and dark hair.

which look should they go for this

red hair is'nt bad a long as they dont make it so bright maybe make it more dark red than anything

I think if done right it could look good. Personally I would want to see Ganondorf look as accurate as possible to the games on-screen.

I agree, the setting of the film alone would make Ganondorfs appearance seem plausible within world of Hyrule.

I was always partial to the warthog looking Ganon.

uuughhhh....I hated that version of him, but I guess if they can make it look good, I'll be ok with it. Hell....I just want a Zelda film period, I think Nintendo is holding onto that pretty tightly, they gave Hollywood a chance with Super Mario Brothers and look at how that turned out followed by the stream of unsuccessful video game adaptations. Who knows, Paul Anderson may give us either a female Link or actually have Zelda saving Links ass.

The gray skinned Ganondorf always looked more sinister IMO than that pig looking abomination.

Definitely, looked and felt more sinister IMO. One of the main reasons he is my favorite villains in video games.

I just always hated how they added "dorf" onto his name. Makes me think of Ganon acting like Tim Conway, walking around on his knees.

Link: possibly Mike Vogel if he were clean shaven and his hair grown out a bit
Young Zelda: Peyton List
Zelda: Abigail Breslin (made blonde of course) or Dakota Fanning (I like Abigail
better!)
Gannondorf: Christopher Eccleston hands down!

Link: Jamie Bell

I've always thought that Link, in a film, should be more around the age of 18, rather than a kid. And if they went the OOT route and had him aging several years, Jamie Bell is still the right age (now) to play and younger (18) and an older (25) Link.

Zelda: Mia Wasikowska
Ganondorf: Mark Strong or Dwayne Johnson.

In any case, Link should NOT have the look of an adult man. The fake trailer got it completely wrong there. I hate it because of that.

Well, Link has never been an adult in the games. He's always a teenager. The oldest he's been is 17. Though one Manga did depict an adult Link. Wouldn't mind seeing that in a game. Though for a movie, it would be nice to see them incorporate kid Link somehow. Maybe through flashbacks, or perhaps early in the movie before a time skip.

Ganondorf and the Gerudo would need unique make up. But it's certainly nothing impossible. If they can make thousands of convincing monsters and aliens they can make a tall human with gray skin.

I would be much more interested in seeing the Zora and Gorons in live-action. And the various enemies.
