Casting the DC Universe - Part 2

They should get Kevin sorbo to do it. The son becomes the father and the father the son

Kevin Sorbo as Zeus would actually be perfect

Misha Collins as Vic Sage/The Question

Adam Driver as Deadman!

Complete opposite of what I picture Deadman would be like in live action.

Admittedly I only really know him from Kingdom Come but I think Day would be perfect for that!

Dennis would be fun though.

And while we're at it...

Swamp Thing -

Jeffrey Wright has to pop up in a DC or Marvel movie eventually. He's amazing.

However - I really hope we get Raven played by https://media.allure.com/photos/57bc4e3d884180ec64ff6375/master/pass/stranger-things-eleven.jpg

Finn would make a great young dick grayson http://dazedimg.dazedgroup.netdna-cdn.com/1400/azure/dazed-prod/1190/5/1195021.jpg

and star fire I think would have to be http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net..._SY903_.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20141121021243

Obviously this is an incredibly young cast - but I feel it would be way cooler to see them grow into the roles.

If they do an older more (20-24 yr old) cast I have a different line-up in mind.

That's definitely a super young cast! The actors haven't gone through puberty yet lol It'd be an interesting idea and a lot of fun watching them grow up but at the same time id rather start with 18+ year olds

If you want to Harry Potter the Teen Titans, start with characters who begin their superhero careers as kids, who so happen to be the original Teen Titans. Finn Wolfhard as a young Dick Grasyon/Robin, sure, but Neel Sethi as Garth/Aqualad, Millie Brown as Donna/Wonder Girl, Jason Genao as Roy/Speedy, more like that. Seeing them grow could be really incredible to see.

Swamp Thing -

Oh my gosh I love that idea! So who should play Abby?

I wanna see Adam Driver as Plastic Man, Ryan Katwan as Animal MAn, Kevin Durand as Swamp Thing and Clive Owen as Ares.

Yeah - I thought it would be kind of cool to kind of grow with the characters in general, I was recently re-watching young justice, and the development of the characters over multiple episodes, and even the time jump to see them much more fleshed out versions of themselves just makes it so much better than what we've been getting.

Now, with the way kids now a day age, (a good example) would be harry potter, I'd love to see the progression of a team done in a similar mantle.

What about Jim Carrey as Deadman? I get that Deadman should be younger and in good shape given he was an acrobat, but Carrey could nail the personality

I don't disagree with you but I think Carrey would make a great older Green Arrow, Booster Gold or Elongated Man.

I see him being a good Deadman or Plastic Man

Would love to see him get another chance as a villain. His Riddler wasn't for everyone I guess, but it's one of my favorite performances in the genre and I don't think you could've cast Riddler better in the mid 90s. The only other guy I can see doing close to as good of a job would've been Robin Williams

Rutger Hauer as Valorex one of the Guardians of the Universe (Green Lantern)

My concerns about the idea of a young Titans:

1. Batman bringing a young Robin into battle is already highly problematic. If a kid this young plays Dick Grayson after he sets off on his own, what kind of psychopath does that make this version of Batman? And if there is no Batman in this equation, how did Robin learn to fight?

2. With kids, in a realistic scenario, they either need to be sneaking away from their parents to fight or orphans who are evading law enforcement who would put them into foster situations. Neither of these are un-doable, but for better or worse they define the nature of the show. You can't have a bunch of young teens hanging out in their fancy superhero headquarters like it's no thing, not unless you want it to come off as a kids' show. Which leads me to my third point...

3. How many shows starring a bunch of kids aren't geared toward a kid audience? It would probably turn out very Nickelodeon-esque.

I think these reasons are part of why the guy reference Stranger Things, which addresses at least some of these problems, #3 for sure. I think Robin also works as someone who lives with Batman and sneaks away to be Robin and is forbidden. Lately, they put Batman in a position where he can't stop Robin, and so does his best to keep it in check.
