Chapter 4: The Kindness of Strangers Discussion 10/15/2007

How about mind control, too? Like maybe "joyriding" Nathan into killing Nakamura? Then again, if you're on the right track, maybe there wasn't anyone there on the roof at all?

I don't think so. I'm one those who also believe that the "hooded killer" and the "Nightmare Man" are two different people, and that the "hooded killer" is Kensei. Furthermore, as I stated in another thread, I'm inclined to believe that, contrary to what we might think, Kaito is actually still alive and that his death was faked in order to protect him from the "Nightmare Man" and alert Hiro. This is because I also believe that Kaito has the ability to clone himself like Jamie Maddox, the "Multiple Man" from X-Factor, which means that even if he's killed, there's another one of him that is still alive. What would really be a trip is if Kaito's own duplicate warned both Mama Petrelli and himself of the "Nightmare Man" coming after him via those torn photos from the group of 12 photo and that Kensei, being a long time friend of the Nakamura's for obvious reasons, was the guy who helped carry out the "murder."

am i the onlyone who wonders who took the photo cus the twelve are in the pic and u cant just get sum random guy to get a photo of a secret organization

Cameras can be set on auto.

Did anyone else feel kinda off about when Micah put his hand on Monica during the hug? Its seemed like it was being hinted at that Micah was actually trying to use his powers to fix her, but his power only work on electronics. So anyone else get the feeling that he was trying to fix her?

I believe he sensed something was wrong and he hugged her to figure out what it was. That's why he said something along the lines of, "I wish I could fix your dream" He can only fix electronics, not people. It was pretty cool!

i thought that too. the way he put his hand on her backwas as if he was trying to fix her or something

I wanna know whats up with Nathans face. Also, cant wait to see Kristen Bell next week.

Maybe the killer isn't one of the 12 but someone they encountered many years ago. Mama Petrelli would have said so it was one of her old buddies right?

The woman on the left looks a lot like D.L.'s mom.

Is it me or is mr. Deveaux sitting in a wheelchair in the picture? Which is odd considering he was still tight with Linderman at the time, so Linderman could have have healed him.

When are we going to see one of the 12 use their ability? Why didn't Kaito and Angela use their ability when they got attacked?

Hmm, any well known actors in there outside the ones already established?

Also, is it me or does Mr.Petrelli sort of look like Alan Ruck?

Hahah, that's exactly what i thought. Stuart from Spin City is Dallas Petrelli?

I thought last might's episode was the best one of of the season so far. Still, I wanted to see more of Hiro and Kensei. I like Monica's powers, she reminded me of a sharingan. Thanks to reading spoilers, I kind of ruined it for myself as to who the Nightmare Man was. :o Still, I look forward to how that plays out.

I can't wait to see Kirsten next week.

Matt Parkman is the worst surrogate dad ever.

No kidding. Some people probably feel its just too simple and that there has to be a twist behind this, even though Molly explicitly said that Parkman's dad was the "Nightmare Man." That said, I wonder what Mr. Parkman's ability is? Obviously it's clairvoyant in nature since he can detect Molly's presence and it seems likely that he was the one who attacked Mama Petrelli. My guess he's Heroes equivalent of the "Scarecrow" and "Mr. Fear" in that he project fear-inducing hallucinations via telepathy/remote viewing, and that, because they are so intense and seem so real, Mr. Parkman can cause psychosomatic injuries to others, sort of like the old wives tale of if you die in your dreams you die in real life. Which would explain why Molly is terrified of him and how Mama Petrelli injured herself because she was fighting off an "imaginary attacker." It also make him potentially one of the most dangerous people alive.

The preview looked like there would be lots of deception with people seeing things that aren't there. Some of that could be Sylar with his new power from Candice and some of it could be Matt's old man. I'm hoping Matt kills his old man in the season finale and goes off to try to live underground with Molly like HRG and his kid. Only to be sucked back into "it" of course.

EDIT: Stupid Hype messed up my review...

I'm not re-doing it...

8/10
Again...still not memorable, but still worthy of a high score. Hiro needs to return to the present, and Peter needs to open the damn box! Then, we'd be set!
:yay::woot:

Yeah, the only storyline I'm interested in is Parkman and his old man. Which is cool because Grunberg is win, but I'd rather see a little more Pete.

Did you keep watching, where he basically said he wishes he could fix her? Something like "I just wish i could fix your dreams for you" or something. I thought it was wierd at first too, but he pretty much explained it after that.

No I randomly decided to turn off the tv at that moment. Read the question buddy I was just saying that it really seemed like he attempted to use his powers to actually fix her. Saying "I wish I could fix you" is something anyone can simply say. I was just pointing out that it really felt like he actually attempted to use his powers on her and asked if others got the same feeling.

you need to watch the episode. they are the same person. there is no doubt.

Just watched it. I'll give it a seven outta ten.

Not too into the fact Matt's dad is linked, but I did enjoy the new female character. All she needs now is a white cape and skull mask, and she can go parading as Taskmaster

i watched the episode thoroughly and i still think its a posibility they could be two different people

Parkman tells Molly that he needs her to find his father. Parkman points to his father in the picture - the shot is a close-up. Molly says "please don't make me look for him." Parkman asks, "why not?" Molly answers, "because he's the man in my dreams. he's the nightmare man."

later, Molly comes out of her room and tells Matt that she'll help find his father.

"HE IS THE NIGHTMARE MAN." it couldn't be any plainer.

if you read my post im not saying that the nightmare man and matts dad are different people. I agree they are the same person. I am saying that the nightmare man and the person killing the "12" could be two different people. It has yet to be alluded to that nightmare man and the 12 killer are the same person..............understand me now?
