The Mandalorian Chapter Five Spoiler Discussion

Boba Fett survived Return of the Jedi in the new expanded universe? I thought he only survived in the original EU

They’ve been really vague in the nu-EU. Basically his armor was found damaged outside the Sarlacc but Boba was not with it. Another guy took it and fixed it and was using it to clean up the crime of Tattooine. Otherwise Boba has been MIA.

I like this show but there doesn’t really seem like there’s a sense of urgency to the series. Baby Yoda is cute and all but we know Mando is not going to run away forever so what’s the endgame?

Its bizarre to see the Mos Eisley cantina so barren.

Fantastic episode. Some real western vibes.
I’m sucker for speeder bikes so I was beyond excited to see them and loved every minute that they were used.
The space battle at the beginning was badass.

I love this show so much

I knew I didn't trust that guy and I knew he looked like Bobby Cannavale :funny:

I think I liked this episode more than episode 4. Some stuff felt a little out of place and I'm glad that probably isn't the last we see of Ming-Na's character.

I actually kinda like that. It can affect and drag a film/game or show but this has been very entertaining and interesting!

It's fun seeing Mando on side quests in different locations and situations! Not everything has to be all one continuation of a story. I am curious about where the story will lead to in the season finale but at least it's not dragging too much and we still get some backstory info like Mando's deal with his helmet since being a kid in the last episode.

We are also seeing some great new characters with some possibly making a return in this or the confirmed 2nd season

Enjoyable episode even though it was another filler like last week’s

It was nice to see Tatooine again. This episode sort of gave me prequel vibes sprinkled in with some OT. The acting from the mechanic/babysitter and the rookie bounty hunter felt a little cheesy at times but it still didn’t ruin the episode for me.

The little mechanic droids are the same droids that pop up in the video queue in Star Tours ride :funny:

I’d like to think the figure that popped up in the end is Boba Fett but I don’t want to get my hopes up

Love how we keep seeing things from past star wars movies like this time the sand people and the creaters they ride on. I thought this episode was better then the episode before but still not has good has episode 2 or 3. The end makes it hard to wait for next week has i have no idea who that was.

It could be Giancarlo Esposito’s character though I feel like that’s a little weird. His character is a Grand Moff of the Imperial Remnant with his own collection of Death Troopers, so I’m not sure what he’d be doing out there on his own searching for a bounty. Seems like a job for his troops. We’ve also seen him already in the trailers so I’m not sure why they’d try to hide his appearance in the show. There’s no reveal there, it’s just a new character.

Plus...it’s Tatooine, last known place of Boba Fett. It had the spur sound effect from ESB, and the character himself has hung over this series like a shroud. It just makes sense that he’d be the endgame foe for the Mando this season.

This just crossed my mind not that long ago, but your absolutely right about that. They seemed to really go out their to hide who it was which probably wouldn't have been the case if it was Esposito since we have already seen him in the trailers. The Bobba Fett theory is actually starting to more sense now, especially after watching some other videos on YouTube, but I really do wish they gave us a bit more to go on besides the clanking spurs.

I hope we get at least one more space battle this season

I'm surprised we haven't gotten more of those as well, especially after how great the one in this episode was, but maybe it has more to do with budgetary reasons.

Really enjoyed this one. Seeing Tatooine (and all the iconography that comes with it) on this show was downright surreal. Always great to see Ming-Na, though her role was too short.

Jake Cannavale HAS to be related to Bobby Cannavale. Dem eyebrows, lol.
EDIT: Yep, his son.
Is she dead? Something about the ending makes me think maybe not.

I yelled that as soon as I saw her. :lmao:

I want it to happen desperately. And then I want to find out that it was Boba who saved little Mando, just like Mando saved Gizmo.

I'm just going to expect Moff or another new character just in case

So now we are all okay with Boba Fett being in the show? Cool. A few episodes back, it was a completely different story, or at least felt like it haha.

Bring on Mr. Fett!

It certainly looks that way at least for now, but I'd hate it to be one of those things where we get really excited for something to happen to only be dissapointed that it ends up being something else entirely. IncognitoX is definitely going about it the right way by keeping his expectations in check.

If that mysterious figure is in fact Boba I will totally geek out :woo:

And hopefully this means we get a Boba Fett movie or series spinoff

Same buddy.

And I agree, I'm trying not to get too hyped for it being Boba. I just remember reading an article that Jon Fav originally wanted to do a Boba Fett show. So I could see him pushing him to appear in it.
