Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Chloe Bennet IS Skye

And there goes the problem with Skye the character and Bennet the actress in a nutshell. I like hot chicks, but since I was a teen and BAYWATCH was on I vowed to not view something on a regular basis because sexy women were in it. That's why God invented porn. So that you can get your regular dose of hot women acting badly. Bonus, you get to actually see them naked. Also they, uh, do stuff.

Porn and nudity serve their intended purpose, but some of the sexiest women and the sexiest scenes don't involve taking off *any* clothes. Skye's jiggle-joggle in that braless pink dress is a helluva lot hotter than a lot of the most hardcore porn I've seen.

So... A single document. Redacted. By SHIELD.

Discuss.

Skye's parents are Richard and Mary Parker. They were killed by the Red Skull while on a mission in the Communist Bloc. Naturally, this would make Skye at least 30 because glasnost and ****, but what the hell.

I like the boldness of that idea.

Ok, the scenes with Skye worked surprisingly well and man is she gorgeous.

As goofy as it sounded to me at first, the Jessica Drew theory is holding more water for me now. SHIELD redacted the info on her parents, maybe because they were HYDRA agents?

She has to be SOMEONE who comic book fans would recognize by name. They keep playing up the mystery angle with her over and over. For her to be someone new or obscure would be disappointing after all this buildup.

I said this one a while back and I'm sticking to it for now: She is gonna be Whitney Frost, and her dad is the creepy guy in jail, Count Nefaria (guy seems a wee bit keen on getting the extremis thing stable...)

Or not...(tis' wild speculation at best I must admit)

Well, she aint Madame Masque yet...

Not that I disagree with the Whitney Frost theory, but man, I'd hate for Skye to wind up wearing a mask of any sort. She's just too damn gorgeous. :csad:

Don't a lot of people still think she's Jessica Drew? Anything disprove this yet?

That's an interesting idea but I hope not. I love Whitney Frost and the idea of wasting her on someone like Skye is very sad.

What I wondered is whether Skye is one of the Runaways characters. All of their parents were obscure villains/criminals, so it would make sense that her parents' records were sealed by SHIELD. Either that of her parents were affiliated with some nasty criminal organization and she was abandoned to the system when they were killed or imprisoned.

One thing stood out for me, though. Skye has talked about her childhood several times but her story hasn't been consistent. She told Ward she was in a foster home and got booted after calling the woman caring for her "mom". Later, she whined to Coulson about "...hearing Mom and Dad fighting down stairs" when she was a kid. But she supposedly had no mom and dad. Which of her stories was the lie to manipulate the hearer? Both?

I was being facetious. Skye's sob story sounds suspiciously like the tale of Peter Parker's long-lost spy parents as told in the comic books. (The version in ASM was bull****.) The Parkers left young Peter with Uncle Ben and Aunt May and went on a secret assignment, after which they were never heard from again. Peter was told they had died on a trip, but later he uncovered the fact that the Red Skull had caught them spying and killed them. The Parkers were heroes, but it seems likelier that Skye's parents were on the wrong side of the law.

I think she was simply talking about Coulson & May arguing with each other in the previous episode: After talking about being knocked about in the van Coulson said "I'm sorry, that should never have happened" and she replied with "That's ok, wasn't as terrible as watching 'Mom & Dad' fighting downstairs", to which Coulson replied, "that shouldn't have happened either". She never said anything about being a kid.

^she could have also been talking about foster parents

Yeah, Skye was definitely talking about Coulson and May. Coulson is her father figure now.

While its entirely possible that Skye is someone we'd recognize, I think its much more likely the secret is parent-focused. Which is to say, its possible her *parents* are who we'd recognize. Or alternatively, its just that they've done stuff and been involved in stuff that is a plot relevant secret, even if they don't have a name out of the comics.

In case someone's gonna try to decrypt the whole document somehow, they used Gautami font. But this might be interesting.

Jessica Drew? First letter is a 100% J. The second might be B, D, P or R. Or they just typed random letters (if any) like with that Skrull alphabet in Eye-spy

As intriguing as that is, there's not enough space between the J and the D (if that's what the second one is) for "essica", I don't think. I'm going with "Jane Doe", purely because that might fit in the blackened spaces.

No the version in ASM was not BS, since it's based off of the Ultimate Comics.

I agree. This doesn't rule out Jessica, though. The medical info has been redacted. Jessica Drew was tested on. That's the interesting part to me about this paper.

Yes, they're making who Skye really is a very intriguing mystery. Hopefully Whedon can make the answer worth the wait/buildup.

Janet (van) Dyne? :yay: (yes, I know Marvel are in search for an actress for Ant-man right now. And yes, it doesn't fit either, I tried)

And wouldn't it be too easy/stupid to to uncover a major mystery of a series in a random document. They know we will look through that paper, and left us a few hints but now the whole answer.
