As the firefight between Coulson's team and the HYDRA agents progresses, they find themselves pinned down behind a steel reinforced concrete wall at the edge of the malls parking lot. Skye fell behind them in the hectic moments following the first wave of HYDRA's assault, and is about to be set upon, when Ward intervenes, quickly felling her potential assailants.

"Hail HYDRA" he says straight faced, to which Skye replies "not funny"... pop..pop...Skye instinctively wipes the fluid from her face, then notices two spots on Ward's upper chest pooling in ever expanding circles. She catches him as he falls..."raincheck on the coffee" he says quietly, then passes as swiftly as he came into her life.

"Stupid, love sick bastard, that's what he gets for not listening to my stories" says Garrett, laughing. Suddenly his grin changes to concern, then, to outright fear as Skye looks up, eyes the color and texture of acidic lava, her body radiating an impossible amount of heat.

Coulson and May were still behind the wall when the blast wave hit, Phil cursing whatever idiot thought it was necessary to drop a daisy cutter in such a densely populated area. May is up first, staring straight ahead as if not comprehending what she's looking at. Coulson peeks cautiously over the wall too, eyes widening in disbelief.

Close up of Skyes face, tears gently rolling down her cheeks. The camera pulls back slowly, revealing a massive crater, with Skye at it's epicentre.

End of season one.

:applaud very nice. I wouldn't mind seeing that happen.

That would make for a brilliant cliffhanger at the end of the season....

I think Skye is a dormant inuhman or part Kree. What ever she is, I have a feeling it will link to Guardians of the Galaxy and Marvel's space phase.

Could be and it would be a nice tie-in with Guardians. My guess is either , as you said a inhuman or Spider woman.

Sooo...
anybody remembering the exchange between Ward and Skye in Turn, Turn, Turn, where she says something like:
"You didn't teach me to resist torture."
and Ward replies "We'll get to that part."
Possible foreshadowing? Or throw away line?

Seeing how Marvel loves to leave little hints everywhere even when you least expect them , I wouldn't be surprised if this was foreshadowing or at least a clue for fans

When Skye jumped into that swimming pool and then did her bouncing boobies run in "The Assets", how did she know that the pool depth would be at least 3.5 m? A lot of swimming pools are sometimes only 1.8 m at the deepest. Jumping in from that height would've made it worse and even more shallow for her, causing her injury.

And even if it was 3.5m, how did she know that the side of the pool she jumped into from Ian Quinn's window was actually the deep end and not the shallow end, which could've been only 0.8 m? It was a private swimming pool too, so I don't know if it would've been marked at different depths of the pool like public swimming pools often are.

Because the writers wrote it so that she wouldn't be injured...

I think IF it turns out to be that Skye is an ex-Hydra or double agent or something alone these theories , we'll start to notice some hints that we might have missed the first time around.

Proof she is really Namorita. :whatever:

Sorry, I'm was just picturing Chloe Bennett wearing the Spider-Woman costume. It was a pleasant image.

You know I was wondering how the Wasp costume would look on her... or Ms Marvel for that matter!:yay:

I wonder how many inhumans grew up outside of their home city?

Crystal?

Rough manip. TBH, I'm not sure the yellow doesn't look goofy (much less the mask).

Why couldn't you manip Chloe wearing the Namorita costume instead? :argh:

I think she's definitely a Kree, or has some relation to them.

Agreed, but I doubt she's full blood. The Kree, as seen in GOTG and AOS, are blue-skinned (as in the comics). They may try to bring the "Pink Kree" angle into it from Captain Marvel, but it's probably more reasonable to assume she's a half-breed.

Still up in the air whether she will have powers or not.

What if she starts growing a bushy tail as a side-effect to GH235?
... Squirrel Girl

Here's a plot idea I thought I'd throw in.

In later episodes from "Turn, Turn, Turn", Skye and Coulson discover that Agent Garrett is not what he seems, even for a HYDRA agent. They learn that he's possessed by an alien mind that's been after Skye since her discovery in Hunan province. After capturing him the team learns that this alien was sent to Earth to bring her to the Priests of Pama. They have foreseen the inevitable gathering of the Infinity Gems and know that great chaos will happen. In order to avoid that catastrophe their plan is prepare someone who can control the Soul Gem, which will control the remaining Infinity Stones. Skye is one of the candidates.

However, HYDRA agents in SHIELD had gotten wind of the attention to Skye's birth. This lead to the slaughter of everybody in Hunan and the remaining SHIELD agents who recovered her. The alien possessing Agent Garrett came to Earth soon afterwards and bodyjumped around to track her down. Garrett became it's latest host. After discovering the hidden HYDRA presence in SHIELD he joined with them to better track her down.

After the Battle in New York the alien knew that the gathering of the Stones is fast approaching. He also knew that during the Convergence in London the Aether had sent a signal across the realms in search for its fellow stones. After Skye's induction into SHIELD he deduced she was the baby he's been looking for all these years. The alien code that Coulson's team discovered held a message from the Priests of Pama. The number of candidates for the plan had dwindled greatly. So Garrett decided to manipulate his influence in HYDRA and SHIELD to test Skye, to see if she could still be a worthy candidate.
An alien presence inside Ward,
Pretty much lets Ward off the hook.
I don't like that .

I'm thinking Mantis. One of her abilities was finding the weakness in something. Hackers find the weakness in computer systems .
With the latest preview of the season finale she is obviously different. Garrett is going nuts from GH325. Coulson had work done on him.

Skye was unique from birth. Kree, inhuman or other I don't know.
I suspect a Kree tie since she is ok.
