With Hyde, I honestly wouldn't mind the old Hulk TV direction.

^Yeah, but with better FX and letting the monster still have a character as he does in the comics.

Doesn't he need a serum for a Jekyll to Hyde type transformation .

^True but they may be changing that for the show. That to me isn't as big a deal, but all things being equal I'd prefer them to keep it like the comics as it helps give another point of distinction to a character who already has more than enough in common with the Hulk.

Is Quake even that well known of a character in the comics? The only time I knew of her were those two episodes of A:EMH.

First time I saw her in anything, was when she appeared in the Secret War comics.

I wouldn't know her at all without Wikipedia. Mr. Hyde I'd know, however as he comes from the good ole' silver and bronze age comics that I'm familiar with.

Jekyll and Hyde predates that and I would have thought as well known as Sherlock Holmes or Dracula

I'm aware of the RLS source of the inspiration of the comic character of Calvin Zabo/Mr. Hyde. But while most would know the Robert Louis Stevenson original, they likely wouldn't know this version unless they read silver and bronze age Marvel comics.

hail hyde

I hope Chloe Bennet stars in the Inhumans movie. It would be great to see a familiar face. She could be our way into that society as she discovers more about her heritage.

So anyone still convinced that Skye will become Jessica Drew? Maybe she'll still become her even after she's become Daisy Johnson. :o :oldrazz:

One of my favorite Skye moments in the episode was when she used the Diviner to take down the Hydra guard standing next to her. After she found she could hold the Diviner, she just goes and touches it against the guy's face and lets him disintegrate! And she didn't hesitate at all! LOL! That, along with shooting Ward, was one of her best badass moments.

got a good VIBE from that did you?

That was a good moment! She did it so fast, I did a double take, "Did she just...? Oh snap! That escalated quickly."

I feel like Bennet deserves a "most improved" award for this season so far. Her performance, and the development of Skye/Daisy, is night and day different from where we were in season 1.

I cannot wait to see the next part of this season, with her further developing her powers. And yes, from shooting Ward, to dealing with her insane father, to Divining the hell out of that HYDRA guard, Skye had plenty of badass moments that didn't come across as forced in this episode.

I stopped reading comics after Cap bought it in the Civil War event, so I'm unfamiliar with Quake from the CB's, aside from what I've gathered from reading these forums.
I do like how we got to see early on this season, Skye has been training to control her heart rate. I imagine this will be useful in fine tuning her power.
Fitz can come up with something to assist with that, I expect.

I wonder if she'll get the Gauntlets from the comics. I guess that would be where Fitz comes in.

Just thought of something, the Quake project would be just the thing to get Fitz-Simmons working together like old times. This is bio-tech stuff, what should be their specialty.

She was first created a few years before that. During the Secret War event where Fury recruited a bunch of heroes to invade Doom's country (who was stuck in Hell at the time). Later, after Civil War, Fury started up a new Howling Commando's squad filled with the children of Super Heroes/Villains. Daisy was his second in command.

Thanks, had no idea. Just looked up the wiki and it says the 5 issues came out over the course of 20 months. Probably why it missed my attention.

(Btw watching Rick and Morty right now)

I just got burned out(after 20 years) on all the events and the whole dying and coming back thing.

Skye's come a long way since the early episodes of Season 1. She's a total badass now.

Yeah, I dropped out after Secret Invasion. I just don't give a damn about the Big 2 anymore. Too many events. Too many shock deaths. Too many reboots of reboots. I'm just....done.

Image however has been putting out some awesome comics.
