DC:
I already checked out after BVS and SS, and I see nothing to pull me back in. Not my Justice League. No Lantern. No Superman (and apparently he was a beacon of hope who brought out the best in everyone....that's so rich coming from Bat-murderer :funny: ). Aquaman is a bad Thor wannabe. No one wanted Cyborg and he looks so incredibly dull. Still don't like WW and I can't really stand Gadot's one anger face she always has on. Flash looks terrible but Miller seems decent in the role. Oh well, my only hope is that the ridiculously early Flashpoint movie will serve to reboot the whole damn thing. Oh, and that trailer music is just about nauseating now.

Not surprised by any of this although I will say this:

GREEN LANTERN: Even though I love Jessica Cruz and John Stewart as characters, Green Lantern is just incredibly lame. Lame powerset that looks horrible in live action. Lame name. Lame look. I totally see why a GL was left off the League.

SUPERMAN: Yeah I agree with you here, the DCEU really screwed up Kal! There's no if's, and's or but's about it.

AQUAMAN: Disagree completely! For the first time in this character's history he doesn't look lame and actually looks bada**! That's a huge accomplishment! Bonus points for casting a Polynesian actor!

CYBORG: He's there so the League doesn't look like the KKK and DC doesn't get called racist despite already having a Brown man as Aquaman. To be fair though he's also there because he's DC's biggest minority character and didn't require a race bend like Aquaman. I'll take Cyborg over Martin Manhunter aka "he's diverse because he's green" anyday!

FLASH & WONDER WOMAN: These two are easily the best heroes in the DCEU!! I have no idea why you don't like either of them but I guess you cant please everyone huh?

Edit: How do you quote posts from a locked thread?

Crap, I wrote a lengthy response and the thread has closed. All is ****ed. I don't feel like writing all that again. :(

The second official piece:

I like the Black Order. They're like a black metal band. Two lancers - guitars, the "dwarf" - drums, the thin guy - keyboards and Thanos on vocals.

I know it's not really fair to compare the Justice League trailer to the Infinity War teaser, since one's a teaser (it's not like the JL teaser impressed me), since I saw it in not very high quality and at a diagonal, and since the volume wasn't high enough to even know what the characters were saying. Based on what I did see though, I'd have to give it to Justice League all the way. Infinity War just looked like a confirmation of exactly what I expected it to be: too many characters fighting a big purple guy.

And Justice League is not enough characters fighting a big horned guy?

The Russo's have proven that they can juggle all those characters.

Steppenwolf looks like Ares.

Sounds terrible. Like that film where Batman fights Heath Ledger, just some average sized guy with green hair.

Nice. They can play the music for the dance off.

I will agree with Hafizbat. This is the thread I post the most in. I feel it's very fair for the most part.

I also agree that the reception to the DCEU is the fault of the studio and the creative minds.

Maybe to you, but I thought Civil War suffered from having as many characters as it did, and I'd have preferred a more standard Captain America movie, anyway.

As for Thanos, the teaser had a bunch of buildup that something was coming, oh what's coming, it's gonna get us, and then out comes Thanos, who to me isn't scary looking, or cool looking, or anything, and there wasn't even any style to his entrance. And then they fight. So that buildup went nowhere. If Cthulhu had come out of a portal instead, I'd be like, "Awesome, Cthulhu's a bad***, bring it on."

And, I mean, I knew they were fighting Thanos all along, so it's not like this is some unanticipated issue for me, but previous Avengers and Justice League trailers showed a heavy amount of interest in the goodguys. This was basically the Thanos show, which may well be really great for people who are excited about Thanos, but it only makes it look less appealing to someone like me who doesn't care about him.

Steven Wolfe looks like a generic character from Skyrim.

CYBORG: He's there so the League doesn't look like the KKK and DC doesn't get called racist despite already having a Brown man as Aquaman

Remember when people called Avengers racist? Yeah, me neither.

They had Nick Fury. Of course they aren't racist.

Aquaman looks great, his action scenes look good but his characterization seems thin at best. It's early but so far he's had minimal dialogue and seems like he's just there to kick ass and say "hell yeah" while he does it. I hope there is more done with his characterization in the actual film.

I don't think I could be more disappointed with The Flash. I just don't like anything they've done/are doing with the character, Flashpoint being his solo movie or Ezra Miller in the role. But based on the reactions to the trailers I'm deep in the minority on that and he'll be the breakout star of Justice League. *shrugs*

The only nitpicks I have with the Infinity War footage are Thanos' new look and Mantis. I thought Mantis was an uninteresting waste of space in GotG and think the same of her being in IW. I just don't like Thanos' new look, preferred the Armored look by far.

It looks like a moving biblical painting. Some guy compared it to Snyder. But I see more Tarsem Singh.

And Fury isn't an Avenger.
