I'm not sure that means that much anymore. There's a lot of films in the top of the all time top grossing list that came out during school season.

It's also a pretty common view when you listen to people talking about the business that Apes was seen as an big reason why Homecoming had a 60% second weekend drop. Films tend to make most of their money in the first 2, maybe 3, weeks so having that time to yourself is an advantage. You'll generally see studios trying to get at least two weekends without stiff competition.

Exactly, which is why it's hilarious that someone tried to argue that Homecoming didn't face steeper competition than BvS. It's laughably obvious that it did unless we're changing the definition of the word "competition".

Regardless of anyone's understanding of the characters, that's the script she's given.

That was kind of my reaction as well. I can't really blame her for not knowing otherwise because that's the way it was pitched to her.

It's amazing how little I previously cared about the Punisher compared to how much I care now that he's been played to perfection by Jon Bernthal.

It's the same thing for me. What they did with the character in DD S2 really made me care and made me interested in a show about him. The trailer looks like it will deliver, and it will be interesting to see how he is when he's become the real Punisher.

Wow I'm surprised they did a showing already...it is still two months out and I figured they'd be working to the wire from what production was sounding like.

Count me in as someone who thinks the Netflix MCU would have had a better time doing 8 to 10 episodes a season instead of 13. As someone said earlier, DD season 1 did the best and even that had at least a full episode's worth of padding.

Probably still loads of effects work that needs doing but they want to start getting impressions of how the story looks overall while there is still some time to edit things out!

I don't necessarily believe that Whedon came in to just finish the 5-10% that was left after Snyder. Whedon came in before Snyder left the project.

However, I'm not sure how much more can be done in 2 months prior to release.

The Punisher trailer looks incredible. Jon Bernthal has so much charisma that I have no doubt he'll successfully carry whatever filler episodes are thrown at him.

That was kind of my reaction as well. I can't really blame her for not knowing otherwise because that's the way it was pitched to her.

She's claimed to have read the comics, so she definitely knows better. Doesn't mean she's to blame for the script changing ****, but it's not like she's unaware of her character's relationship with The Joker.
