Question: do you think there any bands out there today will achieve the same recognition as bands like Led Zep, The Who, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Queen, etc. have achieved? Personally, I hope The Killer and The White Stripes manage to achive some genuine recognition.

Question: do you think there any bands out there today will achieve the same recognition as bands like Led Zep, The Who, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Queen, etc. have achieved? Personally, I hope The Killer and The White Stripes manage to achive some genuine recognition.

I'm honestly not sure. I can't really explain it, but music was just different back in the day. I don't think anyone will achieve the fame of the Beatles. Ever.

Vocally, Freddie Mercury was the best lead singer ever. He was also an amazing showman. Watch the dvds of their 1986 performance at Wembley Stadium and their 1982 performance at Milton Keynes Bowl, the man holds the crowd in the palm of his hand. Shame that he died so soon and under sucht ragic cirmcumstances.

Music now just doesn't seem to have much originality anymore, unlike with older bands, like The Beatles.
