Yea this is something I think we both agree on, but like I said Alien had a sequel to develop the xenomorphs into something more, but comparing alien to cloverfield the creatures were treated the same way, with the same amount of development. Both movies told very little about the origins it wasn't till the sequel that the xenomorphs became something more than a scarey creature in the dark.I disagree. It's not just quantity but how well they were implemented.
If it does get a sequel (as it may already be getting I don't know), I honestly do hope they develop the monster and we get better charecters.
I do agree that cloverfield has its short comings, the first time I saw it I didn't like it that much, I thought it was over hyped and it was a bit of a let down. The second time I watched it my feelings changed, I strongly believe that it is one of those flicks you have to see more than once to fully appreciate it.
