I disagree. It's not just quantity but how well they were implemented.
If it does get a sequel (as it may already be getting I don't know), I honestly do hope they develop the monster and we get better charecters.

Yea this is something I think we both agree on, but like I said Alien had a sequel to develop the xenomorphs into something more, but comparing alien to cloverfield the creatures were treated the same way, with the same amount of development. Both movies told very little about the origins it wasn't till the sequel that the xenomorphs became something more than a scarey creature in the dark.

I do agree that cloverfield has its short comings, the first time I saw it I didn't like it that much, I thought it was over hyped and it was a bit of a let down. The second time I watched it my feelings changed, I strongly believe that it is one of those flicks you have to see more than once to fully appreciate it.

The creators did say that for all we know they could have filmed more than just one movie at a time. Given JJ abrams creativity I hope they did do something like this.

The viral marketing has never been clear, per say. This could last until 2010 and then they tell us it was for a sequel.

Clover having no substance? Correct me if I'm wrong, but we know absolutely zero about it, it's species, it's way of life, it's planet if it's extraterrestial, so on and so forth.

All we know is one got pissed off from drilling or something, wakes up and goes to new york where it tries to get all the **** off its back while under a hailfire of bullets and shells. Ofc he's gonna be pissed and start attacking ****, I would too.

No. that was a point but not the point in it's entirety. Yes, I think it does in my opinion.
The world outside the alien in itself reflects and mirrors the aliens beyond it's visual design like an extension, adding practicality and credibility as to the way it works within that world.

We know just as much about Clover/Gwaka, especially if you go by the viral marketing.

I liked it .... but was surprised it wasn't bigger.

Very original and quite disturbing but I wanted something HUGE, simply because its not been done.
