Everything is starting to make sense. DarthSkywalker had to be the Vulture's source on Trevorrow :D . I mean if Trevorrow is like that, it would make sense why Skywalker doesn't like him and have it in for him :D

Book of Henry is the worst molehill into a mountain situation Ive seen on movie forums in a while. It was a $10 million dollar indie type film that made $4 million. His first rotten film in his career. Its such an inconsequential small film and such a tiny ****up that it shouldnt have even mattered to most people. But the way people act it was a $300 milllion blockbuster that made nothing at the boxoffice.

If you go to the director suggestion thread you'll see people suggesting Brad Bird. The director that **** the bed with Tomorrowland. A film that bombed at the box office and ended up losing Disney over $100 million. But that doesnt seen to matter in the case of Brad Bird.

Colin Trevorrow definitely doesnt deserve the hatred he has gotten and I also hope he keeps his head up and bounces back.
I agree, that's even taking that Vulture article into account. I'm not saying he's James Cameron, but are you going to tell me that James Cameron isn't confident and opinionated? In fact, I've heard from within the industry on how many people don't like working with Cameron because he is such a perfectionist and that can be hard to deal with. Not the case with Ridley Scott which is why apparently more people want to work with him instead.

As for decisions, it's a give and take I think. I recall Jon Favreau didn't want Tony Stark to say he was Iron Man at the end of the film and even fought against it. Sometimes those decisions could be right, sometimes they can be wrong.

Colin did get the job due to his connection to Kennedy's husband. So I can easily see that being a source for him to be a cocky *******.

I am sad that Kennedy's grand experiment was a failure. Though, it looks like it may have paid off in spades with Johnson, so who knows.

Also, Kennedy got Spielburg to do some work on Abrams to direct. I would not say that she is an easy woman to say no to, in terms of talent.

Is Trevorrow being a **** really that hard to visualize? I'd buy it. :funny:

I do find it odd that when these types of things pop up with the MCU and Feige, the fans automatically side with Feige. Yet, not with Kennedy, who is much, much more experienced than Feige.

It's showbiz. I'm sure plenty of people in the industry act like divas frequently. Look at what happened with Christian Bale going off on the set of Terminator Salvation. Is there really any excuse for that? It was definitely embarrassing, and the movie was a disaster. But it didn't keep Bale from getting an Oscar eventually and still having a fairly strong career afterwards.

David O. Russell was apparently so bad on the set of Three Kings that George Clooney punched him. He's apparently burned bridges and made enemies out of a lot of actors, but he's still getting big directing gigs.

Also, two words: James Cameron.

You are comparing a lot of talented people to Colin Trevorrow. That is your problem here.

Trevorrow is arguably a talented writer and filmmaker. It's okay you don't share that opinion.
Oh Vile. You just love doing this. :funny:

You don't have to argue with the other 3, do you? The obvious point.

Talented writer who doesn't understand the difference between subverting and using a trope?

Trevorrow is so talented that he didn't know what Rey means to people until his kid saw Wonder Woman.

His films show he really knows how to write women. Maybe we finally could have got a well written, popular Rey with him around.

Let's not forget his response to being asked if he would've got Jurassic World if he was a female director was basically, "Female directors don't like dinosaurs and superheroes."

The classic women are offered these kind of jobs all the time, they just don't want them. ****.

So I just watched Home Base...

Thank you Kathleen Kennedy. Thank you.

Oof, yeah I saw that a couple of years ago. Right after JW, I think. Totally awful. I enjoyed SNG, though.

I mean plenty of people have the same criticisms on The Force Awakens, including Trey Parker and Matt Stone.

As many criticisms as TFA? No it's not, TFA was a far better film to the critics and the masses.

If we are going down that route, to the masses, Jurassic World is the fourth biggest movie one rung behind The Force Awakens in the history of history. So if that's a measure you want to go by, then go right ahead.
