NBC is busy kicking off the Television Critics Association today, and a couple great bits of news came from NBC entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt. First, according to EW he revealed that for all those worried fans out there, Community has not been canceled, and while it’s been on hiatus, the third season will definitely air starting sometime in the spring, but a date is not set in stone just yet. When asked about the possibility for a fourth season, he replied simply, “I don’t know. Those are hard questions to answer at this point. We’ll make that decision closer to the upfront.”

I feel bad for NBC sometimes. They seem to be able to make several cult shows where fans will scream bloody murder if it's cancelled but can't make a solid popular show to save its life.

Well, to people that actually watch good television they don't have anything else. However, to the executives who sit there and make the decisions obviously think that they do.

Community can't catch a break. In the UK MTV brought the rights to air it and they shoved it on the channel Viva which hardly anyone watches so it gets really low ratings and most people have never heard of the show.

In a sad way, I think NBC sort of aspires to be better with alot of their shows, and has gotten kicked in the teeth for it. Whereas CBS pretty much aspires to be mediocre or less, and is given the top spot on all of television.
