The Dark Knight Rises Concerns about TDKR

I think the one time when Bale's Batvoice was hard to hear was "You should be locked in a padded room" in his final scene with Heath.

BTW, the Tumbler has grown on me a lot and while it's not my favorite Batmobile, I think it's cool in its own way.

Naw Yurka, I've hated the Tumbler since day one lol.

I have no problems with redesigns but the Tumbler is just a big ugly eye-sore to me. It doesn't ruin the film ofcourse but man do I dislike it.

Yeah, the one time I think the Balevoice was off was from the moment where Joker traps him under that steel piece until the end of that scene.

I can't dislike something that makes me laugh so much :)

Initially I didnt like it because I always thought the batmobile from Batman 89 was THE batmobile but after these two-movies I just look at that and I'm like, that is so impractical. I haaaaated the bat-pod though. Im really hoping he doesnt have a plane or a submarine in this next film.

Not a very original thought, but the bat-voice has got to go. It's comical. TDK was on TNT the other night and my wife was literlally laughing and making fun of it, and even said "I can't even take this movie seriously." On opening day my best bud and his wife went with me and they were giggling and making fun of his voice too. And this is happening during some of the most intense moments in the film. It really is sad that that silly voice would undermine such brilliant bat-storytelling.

I have to say as much as I despise Batman Forever Kilmers voice as Batman was perfect.

Thats the level of deepness it should have. Kilmer actually didn't do a bad job its that he was handed **** to work with.

I think that the vast majority of people think that the Bat-voice is silly. I giggle when I hear it and I still maintain that it did hurt the scene near the very end with The Joker. It's just f**king ridiculous and awful, it's a shame that it's hear to stay.

I didn't like the voice in the Begins either. It's just plain bad and it is "funny."

He does sound a bit like an elderly woman who has smoked one cigarette pack to many a day.

I hate stuff like that because up until that point I was like, wow, this movie is perfect so far, then that happens and Im like Jesus christ here we go. And all that horrible car-chase "Okay thats not good!" crap just makes me cringe.

Its still a comic book movie . The film was as serious as you can expect from a superhero film . A cheesy line or 2 imo is necessary .

If Nolan tosses another one of his buddies into the film for the sake of giving them a cameo, I hope that he gives them lines that at least have a point and aren't obnoxiously delivered. Nicky Katt's SWAT guy is still one of the worst parts of the movie for me. They might as well have replaced everything he said with "DUUUURRRRR HURRR HURRRRRRR." Would have made the same difference. "I didn't sign up for this!" Really? You're on a SWAT team and you didn't realize that you might get shot at at some point in your career? Do a better job of reading the job description next time, guy.

Concerns? No. It's too early for concerns. Give me a trailer or some photos and maybe I'll have concern.

Can't say I'm in the camp that dislikes the Batman voice. I can understand why it really bothers some people, but it never bothered me, not to the point that it becomes a serious issue of whether it takes the film down a notch. I guess all I have to worry about is if some obnoxious kid(s) in the theatre are going to disrupt the film with their comments.

Same with one liners. Never did find them all that funny (amusing at the most), but they don't harm the film in any real way. They're there to offer some comic relief in a rather dark film, which is fine by me, so I just let the film have those moments.

And I find the Tumbler completely awesome. It's a Batmobile you can believe takes to the streets and just dominates where ever it goes, and it has, IMO, the best Bat-motif of any live-action Batmobile to date; subtle, but really cool.

i hope TDKR will not get the same contrasts colors then TDK it has to be like BB again.

Or something new. Each movie the contrast reflects Gotham. Gotham was a hopeless ****hole in BB, so it had a dreary brown color scheme. TDK things were looking up with Dent and Batman cleaning up the streets, it had a cleaner blue-ish color scheme. TDKR Gotham looks to be a terrifying place of fear and high tension. They could go for a more desaturated greenish (Maybe a nod to Venom) "Horror" look.

I think Nolan said he visually wanted DKR to have the same look as DK.

Couldn't agree more . Particulary about the one liners . TDK was pretty dark and seriuous compared to most superhero films . You need a moment of levity and humor to remind us that its still a Batman film ...

I agree. With all the talk about Nolan's seriousness he seems to not forget that it's still a superhero movie. I also like the Tumbler, but it's time for a change. It got destroyed, and the Ferrari incident sorta proved he needs a more versatile vehicle, one that's protective yet can still move around easily in Gotham traffic. It wouldn't make sense for him to just build another Tumbler.

It will get a really dark tone i think.not red and not green.just really dark.

Thats a disaster.
Why Visually TDK is a much better looking film than Begins . Though I like the idea of a Red colore scheme myself , I ain't going to complain if the cineamatography is similar to TDK's
