Contest of Marvels II Thread 3

Psycho-Man
Sphinx
Emplate (As much as I love Morph, I don't think he could take this)
Guantlet (would be a hell of a fight, especially if they both bring some heavy and light artillery)

Results So Far:

Psycho Man currently beating Speed Demon 10-1
Sphinx currently beating Meltdown 8-3
Emplate currently beating Morph 7-4
Bullseye currently beating Gauntlet 8-3

I seriously don't get how Emplate is beating Morph! His body is like playdoh! He has no marrow! What do they believe he can do to him?

Psycho Man currently beating Speed Demon 12-1
Sphinx currently beating Meltdown 10-3
Emplate currently beating Morph 7-6
Bullseye currently beating Gauntlet 8-5

What could Morph do to Emplate in return...Emplate can be unsynched and teleport around. He can also sense Morph because he is a mutant.

At best for Morph, this battle is a stalemate and at worst Emplate can feed off of him and even turn Morph into a servant.

Final Results:

Psycho Man defeated Speed Demon 12-1
Sphinx defeated Meltdown 10-3
Emplate defeated Morph 7-6
Bullseye defeated Gauntlet 8-5

Woohoo I defeated Morph :D

Did not think I would.

And thank you to the vote for speed demon even I do think he is misnamed

Hey, I won one. Morph shouldn't have lost. The guy has an almost encyclopedic knowledge of meta's. he's not going down from some C-List villain. is there an appeals process? Strangely, I don't object my losses, but I object to Morph's as Emplate can't affect him AT ALL.

don't worry, i'll pwn him for you next round. Emplate CANNOT defeat a non-mutant. his powers are great for that sub-group but against anyone else he's ****ed! :woot:

I like Speed Demon, and I honestly thought Wolfsbane could take Kaine. I still can't believe Morph lost, it's a true catastophy. :(

Slapstick vs Abyss (AoA)

Let's be frank here, neither is going to be able to get information on the other. Beyond that, this is a perfect match-up. Both are highly resistant to injury thanks to their malleable forms. Beyond that he have little in common. Abyss is a sadistic **** while Slapstick is a happy go-lucky cartoon character. His greatest strength together with the fact that he can't be hurt.

I'm serious here, this guy can't be hurt. Like any good old cartoon character, he can shake of any injury that afflicts him, and there's really nothing you can do to actually hurt him. Abyss' only chance is in sucking him into his own body, a fact that he won't be able to pull off. Sure, Slapstick won't know exactly what would happen if he were to be caught in such a manner, but he's not stupid. He may be a cartoon character but he's not stupid. There's a vicious, evil nihilist in front of you with nice evil looking tendrils, he's going to avoid getting caught.

And the best part about avoiding getting caught? Hitting Abyss with his freakishly large cartoon mallet, and the fact that he has access to a dimension he can literally store anything in. If he can't get rid of Abyss in the old-fashioned "knock it till it knocks out"-manner, he can just use that opening to capture Abyss. It's not the most fun option, but it is an option.

There's really so little Abyss can do to Slapstick, heck, he pretty much can't do anything to hurt him. He's going to have to try and capture him, which Slapstick simply won't allow, which means Abyss is going down to the power of the freakishly large mallet.

WINNER=SLAPSTICK

Cardiac (TRIGGER)
vs.

Thing (DARKHELLRIDER
Ok this would be a tough match even for the thing. Cardiac has superhuman strenght and the ability to fly and shoot electricity but the thing has been able to take a beating from the hulk and get back up for more. If the thing was able to get a hold of cardiac or even lay a couple good pumches on him he would be out.

Now for the electricity yes it would maybe slow down the thing but since he is rock it would barely leave a mark. If cardiac went to the sky it would be a bit more difficult but all the thing would have to do is keep throwing things at cardiac until he was able to hit him. if he got a hold of the staff that would take away his ability to fly making thing the winner.

LOCATION: ATTILAN

Attilan is the ancestral home of the Inhumans, a highly advanced offshoot of the human race. About seven thousand years ago, the Inhumans grew tired of centuries of persecution by their more primitive parent race, and decided to create a place of refuge for themselves. Under the leadership of King Myran, the Inhumans chose as a site for their city a small island in the northern Atlantic Ocean, located about two hundred miles southwest of Iceland. The city, which took several decades to complete, was named Attilan, a name derived from Atlantis, the former pinnacle of civilization on Earth that had vanished beneath the sea about three millennia before. Attilan has been the sole center of the Inhuman population ever since.
For millennia, the Inhumans dwelled in Attilan, isolated from contact with mainstream humanity except for an occasional encounter with a lost Greek or Viking sailing vessel. Finally, in the mid-Twentieth Century, with the advent of steamships and airplanes, the Inhumans began to fear discovery by the human race. When one of his subjects was captured by human beings, young king Black Bolt determined that the Inhumans must move their civilization to some place more secure. Employing anti-gravity generators, the Inhumans moved their entire city and its foundation in one piece. The new site of Attilan, a hidden valley in the Himalayan Mountain range in China, was excavated by the Eternals, another variant offshoot of humanity. The Himalayan site of Attilan became known as "the Great Refuge." The Himalayas did not prove to be remote enough to enable the Inhumans to retain their secrecy, however, and soon the Inhumans' existence became known to several of the governments of the outside world, although not to the general public. While in the Himalayas, all of Attilan's ancient architecture was accidentally destroyed by Black Bolt and the city has been extensively redesigned and rebuilt.

(SINCE WE JUST HAD THE LAST LOCATION BE THE BLUE AREA OF THE MOON, THIS IS ATTILAN IN THE HIMALAYAS. EVERYTHING IS THERE, EXCEPT THE PEOPLE.)

Bloodstorm (MIDNIGHT ICE) bio

This match is very interesting, and while it will be tough, Scalphunter would beat Bloodstorm.

The biggest advantage that Scalphunter has is his surrounding: Attilan. Scalphunter is a techno-morph, and can create anything he desires from the surrounding technology and constructs, of which Attilan has many. While he might not kow who Bloodstorm is, he definately knows Storm, her powers, and her weaknesses. And knowing that, is knowing almost everything there is to know about Bloodstorm. If you can effectively cancel out Storm's powers, then you are left with just a vampire, something Scalphunter could easily handle.

Attilan has a number of great devices that would easily let a technomorph like Scalphunter get the quick advantage, and some of these devices are not only powerful, but deadly seeeing as how they were confiscated form the villain Maximus. Some of these include the Atmo-Gun that could kill all humans or just one if it was tweeked, the Hypno-Gun which would make Bloodstorm a servant of Scaphunter, and not to mention the barrier around Attilan itself, which is so strong only Black Boilt could shatter it. These are just a few of teh devices that Scalphunter would have control over to use or modify against Bloodstorm.

All it would really take is him using the hypno-gun on her and she would be his servant. Unfortunately for her, Scalphunter is a cold hearted bastard, and he would order he to kill herself most likely.

There is just too many high-tech weapons that Scalphunter has at his disposal in Attilan for Bloodstorm to defend against.

Winner: Scalphunter
