Sequels Costuming of the X-Men

I don't care for Bianchi's work, so I wouldn't like to see his costume designs implemented into a movie. They're too busy, and something about them doesn't sit well with me. I especially dislike his redesign of Storm's uniform.

hmmmm storms own can be fixed by making her's like the in under world costume worn by selen in that movie. problem solved. LOL seeing that it's hers looks like swim suit with high legged boots and that's what bugging ya about Bianchi's work. and at least who ever wear's that u. w. suit in real like will be able to move freely and not be bothered by having a heat stroke of heavy leather like James Marsdin complained about in the first X-men movie in a hyper space interview. that should be doable

agreed, they look weird, but Nightcrawler, Colossus, and beast have pretty cool designs

What about these X-Men costumes with darker colors and some changes.

I'll try something in the next weeks.

But I think the yellow doesn't look well on screen.

edit:

would you like something like the girl from Watchmen for the x-girls?

Watchmen04.jpg

I find it interesting, as an idea, but I doubt they make Anna and Ellen to dress with something like this, hehe.

Here is Rogue/Anna Paquin like Spectre (from Watchmen):

do you think this could work in the x-men movies?

a better one:

I'll try a yellow-blue version.

hehe.

It isn't so easy, but when I do the blue version, maybe I'll try the green one, hehe.

Do you like that costume for the x-girls, louiebling$?

I think the costumes should reflect the movie, not just be eye-candy.
For example, the singer movies were serious and dark, hence the black leather costumes. If we were to have a ''comic-book'' X-men movie, I could really see something like that on screen, Angamb (although i prefer the green cloak myself :cwink: )

Maybe, You should have made Wolverine's costume brown and black leather.

a better one:

I'll try a yellow-blue version.
Do you know what her powers are. She definetly wouldnt be wearing an outfit like that. Cover her legs, change the colour and add a jacket and its basically perfect.

We all know a mask-less Wolverine and every member of the X-Men wearing black leather suits was due to two reasons. The first was to make the characters seem a bit more grounded and not too flashy. The second reason is because an all black ensemble made for a more unified look amongst members of the X-Men. My question is, in the next installements, do you want more comic accurate, and more colorful costumes for these characters? Or would you rather the unified black leather suits stay with the series?

On and this topic was brought about because I stumbled upon this CG drawing of Famke Jansen as Phoenix but with a far more original comic book look.

This is f***ing brilliant.

The problem with the movie costumes, is that they're just not very inspired designs. I really don't care how different they are from the comics, I just want them to be more visually interesting.

And besides they went leather cause it was dirt cheap. and fox producers would rather more money coming in then them putting money into costumes and special Effects. remember on entertainment tonight both u.s. and Canada if you saw the interview on TV Hugh jackman said he was cutting down on his own pay to make the wolverine movie special effects and more go well. which should tell you all something. it's not that hard to figure out what the Costumes took that look of leather. it wasn't that there was anything rally wrong with the ones in the comic, it was cause of money period. Well the smart people obviously know what that was really about, other wise they'd have cooler costumes, But were stuck with the movies leather for now until they, well want to do something on that. if ever.

Ugh, I'm sorry but those coloured costumes make the X-Men look like Power Rangers, they would have looked stupid in the grounded in reality based X-Men movies!

seeing how the green goblin looked movie wise. I don't buy that excuse any more storm 22 that was a power rangers rip off there in plain sight. If you've seen the show you know what i mean. And there are many ways those guys in X-men movies won't look like power rangers the FF( well only in costume wise any way ) movie and spider man in what he wore proved that. so please don't bring up power ranger's again there's so much working against that big screen wise. it's a poor excuse and was just used for fox wanting to be cheap.

the problem is that we all are seeing a manip.

Just look at the watchmen costumes, they can make them to look cool, having some colour, and still not look ridicolous.
