Kristo watched as Asteroid-Man turned into a Giant Asteroid. His shoes popping off his legs, his shirt ripping, his coat ripping open and his tie ripping loose. Asteroid-Man had became an Asteroid-Thing!

asteroidthingaj4.jpg

"Joe? Joseph! Answer me!!!"

He stood as still as a rock then something inside Joe's head made him move instantly. His rocky body crackled and powdered rock smeared off of him. He nodded as he moved behind the desk. He's taking orders from Shade!

The Asteroid-Thing picks up a flag on a pole and rips the flag off. Is there anyway I can reverse this without fighting? Kristo retracts his two swords. Asteroid-Thing ran the flag-pole for Kristo's stomach. Kristo quickly dodged it as the pole smashed through a titanium sealed door. As he turned around, the pole ripped through the sage and it glimmered. The pole had turned to diamond!

That's it, when he was here, he was injected with something so he could transform into the image being sent to his brain! He's probably getting the orders the same way too... but how do I know for sure before hitting him in the head?

All of a sudden, the Asteroid-Thing flew Kristo out of the tower as the landed into the main tourist entry building falling through the floors until they hit a stop at ground level. Before Kristo could get up, he was tossed across the room and into a small tunnel. Where am-I'm in the xray! As the Asteroid-Thing picked the xray machine out of the bolts that had it pinned to the ground, Kristo climbed his way to the outside of the other end. Once the Asteroid-Thing looked inside the xray, Kristo jumped from the other side and slammed the machine back down into A-Thing.

Kristo threw his baton with the blades retracted, into the start button for the xray. After the start up finished, the machine beeped and the screen on the machine showed exactly where the chip was. Kristo pulled out another baton, bent it and clicked the button back, shooting a sliver sized diamond through the machine and into Asteroid-Things rocky-head and out the other. The machine stopped beeping and Asteroid-Thing fell onto his back with Kristo falling off the side of the machine. As Kristo rolled off, Asteroid-Thing pulled the machine off of the top of his head, tossing it aside.

"Kristo? Kristo get up!"

"Joe?"

"It worked, thanks."

Asteroid-Thing helps Kristo onto his feet.

"No problem."

"Question though."

Kristo dusting himself off.

"Shoot."

"When I transform back, will I have a piercing hole through my head?"

"Well let's fill it in."

Kristo ran for the room to the side.

"Where are you going?"

"Security room."

Kristo can't get in, Asteroid-Thing takes it off and throws it aside.

"Thanks."

"No problem"

Kristo sits in the chair.

"I think the fight was recorded."

Kristo rewinds to before the shot was fired and zooms in on the side of Asteroid-Thing's head. Asteroid-Thing looks at it and concentrates. The hole is filled in.

"Ok, I'm gonna fly us over to the security room in the Office Tower and as I do, call up the protesters and get them to find all boats and jets they can. As soon as the barriers are brought down, they can get off of the island and let the world know what's going on."

Kristo presses eject and grabs the disc.

"They'll need proof."

As they leave, Kristo picks up the first baton he had thrown.

*****************************

When they get to the office, Kristo hangs up his cell and walks into the safe that Asteroid-Thing had torn through. He meets Asteroid-Man, transformed back to normal, outside the safe with folders in his own arms.

"What's that?"

"Printed copies of all the projects he had."

Kristo grabs a briefcase from Shade's desk, empties it on the floor and puts the folders in as well as the security recording.

"Here, it's the rest of the recordings from this past month."

Asteroid-Man hands more discs to Kristo you puts them in the briefcase.

"Let's go."

*************************************

Kristo looks off the cycle to see Asteroid-Man shivering in his stretched and ripped clothes while riding an asteroid.

"Cold?"

"A little."

Kristo presses a button off of the hover-cycle and a pack shoots out. Kristo catches it and tosses it to Asteroid-Man. All of a sudden they start falling.

"What the hell!?"

As Kristo struggles to use yet another tool out of his hover-cycle, Asteroid-Man regains control of the asteroid and flies it by Kristo. Asteroid-Man picks Kristo up and off of the cycle, just before it crashes into the earth.

"NOOOOOOOOOO!"

***********************

Asteroid-Man, now changing into of Kristo's suits realizes something.

"With me wearing Monty Gem's clothes after only having contact with you after that little brawl, don't you think Shade'll figure out what's going on?"

"Let him. That doesn't matter anymore because tonight he dies."

Kristo walks onto the asteroid as Joe finishes suiting up. He stands on the Asteroid and it flies forward instantly, a wall shoots up in the back of the asteroid to stop Kristo from flying off.

"Thanks."

A chair pops out under Kristo.

"Got any seatbelts?"

A rocky "X" hatches Kristo into the seat as another line hatches over his legs. As Joe picks up speed for the barriers, the green coat flies off of Joe. The asteroid slows down and the seat disappears as Kristo falls on his but and Asteroid-Man jumps up and lands on the ground ahead, staring down Shade and an army of mimics.

Kristo slowly gets up to brush the dust off of his clothes.

"The Asteroid-Man and Killer Kristo, I've been wai-"

"You know what's been bothering me for the last few weeks? I've just built up so much anger inside after watching what you've done here."

"You have to-"

"And after years of you keeping me in the dark and framing me for your own father's death, I've been wanting to do this."

Kristo throws a fast punch at Shade's face. The army of mimics overcome the two heroes like a spreading disease. All of a sudden, Kristo seems to levitate. Kristo is standing on a disc shaped rock and as he looks down, he sees Asteroid-Man's hand motion him forward. Back in the crowd A-Man puts on a fight like never before as the Mimics a row or two back start to turn into copies of himself. As Kristo is gliding over top of the army, he pulls out a dart gun and shoots into the crowd putting half of the army to sleep. Then the disc lowers down and Kristo steps off in front of the Count.

Meanwhile, Asteroid-Man launches asteroids from his whole body as the tackling mimics go flying back into the crowd. Asteroid-Man runs straight forward shooting asteroids out of his palms knocking out everyone in his path. He then has an asteroid-plank appear a foot higher then him which he uses as a step to jumped high above the crowed where he lands on a flying asteroid. As he flies over an army of himself, he shoots asteroids down. He is then followed into the air by more copies of himself.

"Time for a new trick."

He jumps off the Asteroid and into the crowd. The falling rock takes out a huge number of them. He then motions his right hand forward and a small foot sized asteroid-disc appears in front of his left foot which he jumps onto and then with his left arm he does the same for his right leg as he steps his left leg off of the last disc. He keepings jumping his feet like he's stepping onto moving grounds as he rushes through the crowd. He creates rock-like padding over his shoulders as he plows through the crowd. About three-quarters of the army has been taken down and the last few of the copies have been copying his every move. Finally Asteroid-Man jumps forward on one round asteroid-disc and he uses his legs to balance it. He turns the disc around and and stops. The army stops as well looking at him confused. Asteroid-Man waits as do the copies. Joe flickers his head up as the copies all look to see a rock, growing in size as it dropped down into them.

"****"

they all say in unison and in Joe's voice.

As the blast takes place, Asteroid-Man motions his wrist forward as an Asteroid-Shield appears, guarding himself from the blast.

Meanwhile....

"You still don't get it do you?"

"What do you mean?"

"I'm Monty Gem you moron!"

Shade was taken aback.

"After leaving, I was put in prison then the last year guess where I was transfered? Guantanamo Bay you son of a *****! And every night, I'd tell them I'm innocent but still I'd get treatments that you could never imagine. And after training myself in there, I finally got out while leaving no one alive."

"You really have killed everyone who has done you any harm haven't you? Or at least anyone not connected to me! Hehehahahaha"

Kristo grabs Shade by the collar and punches him in the face.

"You killed your father."

He punches him again.

"You turned Jen against me!"

He punches him once more.

"And now, I'm going to kill the only person who has harmed me and gotten away with it!"

Kristo throws Shade to the ground. Kristo pulls out a baton and lets out his blade.

"If only I had a sword I'd-"

He presses the baton again and a second blade pops out and he presses is again and it snaps off. He then tosses the sword to Shade. The begin fighting, taking swings, lunges and parries when finally Shade's thumb slips onto the double up button and his sword goes double sided. As he spins it around Kristo's head, Kristo clicks out the second blade as well and blocks, he then smacks the second blade up as hard as he can and cuts through the side of Shade's upper blade.

"A sharp diamond with enough pressure can cut through a blunt sided diamond with less force."

As Shade goes for a slash, Kristo cuts through his leg and Shade falls down dropping the sword and screaming.

Ariel Supports You

I wake up Friday morning, and it feels great. Had a great evening with Grace. Her surprise was making one of my favorite Italian dishes, and man...was it amazing. Her reaction to my surprise--the painting I recently finished--was not nearly as enthusiastic as mine, but that is because I just freakin' love Spaghetti all'arrabbiata.

Today? Not sure what I'm going to do today. When you're an artist, you basically do freelance work. So maybe this Friday, I'll play it a bit slow and enjoy the day before Grace goes to work. Luckily, she doesn't gotta be in til noon today.

After she heads off? Suppose I can catch up on some research on the ol' WorldWide Web. It wouldn't hurt to do some research on the Archangels who supposably watch over me and guide me throughout the day. Wonder if I'll ever meet them like I do with Bath Kol...

"Hmm, odd."

I'm walking through my 'office', which is fancy words for my mess of an art room, and I don't see my painting, nor the stand. It's the only one missing, too. Maybe Grace snagged it when I collapsed on the couch or something. She probably went home to take a few shots to add it to my portfolio. She did mention an art gallery over in Houston after all. They seemed intrigued with my work. Oh well.

This gives me a little bit of time to make a breakfast for two, and what the heck...may as well try to make her one of her favorite dishes. Lucky for Grace, who isn't picky like me, I can simply make a few pancakes, and as long as I make a smiley face with chocolate chips, I'm in the green.

There's a knock on the door. Hmm, guess it won't be much of a surprise. I'll just have to 'woo' her with my oh so clever charm. I walk over and get ready as I open the door.

"Could you come back in about 5 minutes? My most perfect and flawless girlfriend is--"

That's when I see who's at the door. Man do I feel awkward right now.

"--going to ruin her surprise..."

"My name is Agent Darius and this is Agent Stark."

"Uh, that's nice. Are you with the police or something?"

They barge in through the door; wow, such manners.

"Come right in..."

I close the door behind me, and Agent Stark is going around my apartment, all the while Agent Darius just stares at me. Gotta say I'm a little freaked out. Who are these guys? I can see ear-pieces, and letters on the back of Agent Stark's jacket. What's S.T.R.I.K.E.?

"May I ask what's--"

"No."

"...No."

"No. See son, I was taking a little walk to the park two days ago around sunrise, and my little girl looks up into the sky. Do you know what she said to me? She said, 'Daddy Daddy, look! An angel! I saw an angel!'".

"...you wake up your daughter that early just to take a walk to the park?"

I expect some sort of reaction. Good. Bad. Some sort of emotion from the guy. He's as stone cold as a rock. Agent Stark comes from around the corner. He signals something over to Agent Darius, something I have no clue what it means, and Agent Darius just looks back over at me.

"One of our satellites picked up these pictures two days ago. See anything...interesting?"

He hands me a folder--manilla one, geez how cliched can you get?--and I open it. I'd wave at myself, but these guys don't seem to react to the jokes.

"I'm sorry...Agent Darius, was it? I'm not sure what I'm seeing here."

"Son, I've seen a lot of things in my life. But you and I both know, there sure as hell ain't no such thing as angels. Things is...at first glance, you cannot tell what the hell it is. But I'm a man of curiosity, kid. I find out what I don't know until I know it. Now, are you sure there isn't anything you want to tell me, hmm? It'll make it a lot easier on yourself, son."

Ugh, I'd wish he would stop calling me 'son'. He only looks about like he is in his late 30s, and I'm 24. I look through more of the photos their satellite picked up, and it's almost like watching an animation frame by frame. They don't got any shots of me actually entering my apartment window, but they sure as hell get enough.

"Listen, Agent Darius, I seriously--"

"Look, baby, I'm sorry I was gone, but I just--Oh. Who are your friends?"

I almost want to fall to my knees and praise God and shout of 'Hallelujah!", as Grace walks in from the door, but again these guys aren't much for jokes. But man do I love that girl. Agent Darius looks over at her, then to me, then to Agent Stark, then back over to her, then to me...geez this guy is a wackjob.

"We'll keep in touch, kid."

Then the two agents leave my apartment. Agent Stark didn't even put half the stuff he moved away; the jerk. I walk over to the kitchen, and notice I burned that pancake I was missing.

"What was that all about?"

"Some robbery apparently in the apartment building last night. They wanted to know if I heard anything."

"Oh...so listen. As you may have noticed, I headed back to my apartment with that painting to have one of my photographer friends make a few snapshots. I then uploaded them, and sent them out to a few art galleries that were interested in your work...they loved it. All of them loved it."

She walks over to the kitchen, sees my failed attempt at making her pancakes, and gives me a peck on the cheek anyway. Hey, 'A' for effort, am I right? She then takes me hand, and anxiously walks me over to the table.

"I know you were picky about displaying your art in certain places...but here's the list of options. Isn't it great, hun? Just look at it!"

"Wow..."

New York City, Houston, Chicago, Detroit, Las Angeles, Orlando, Miami, New Jersey...the list goes on.

"Now, since your latest piece of art practically sold the set, I say we use its name for the name of your portfolio."

Wait a second...I completely forgot which picture it was she took this morning. In an art gallery? To be paid to the highest bidder? That's not why I--well, that is why I paint...but not this picture. It's important to me; it's significant; it's...I look into Grace's eyes; her entire face. She's excited about this. And she did mention this final piece of work selling the set...and I...I love her. She only wants me to be happy. And if this makes her happy, then I'm happy.

"Sounds good to me."

She gives me a hug, and heads back over to the kitchen. I stop her before she tries to make breakfast where I failed though.

"How about we go out, babe. This is a time to celebrate."

"Sure thing, hun. Oh! But we gotta stop by the bank first."

"Nah, it's okay. I got it."

"It isn't that. My family is in town."

"Really? That's great! We can all get together for--"

"No no no. You don't understand, babe. We gotta go to the bank, to save my brother from getting the worst grounding of his life with my parents. After my parents find out what happened, at least. I'm just taking care of the bill. You don't want to have breakfast when my parents are pissed with Jake."

"What did he get into now?"

"He has to pay for about 15 bottles of wine at--"

"Woah woah...what? Isn't your brother like 16? How does a minor pay legally for wine?"

"...simple. You knock over 15 bottles of wine while at the grocery store."

I wanna laugh, but I know it will only annoy Grace. I try so hard not to laugh though and keep a straight face.

"Ah."

She grabs her stuff, and heads out the door. I smirk and chuckle a bit as I grab my coat, then I walk out the door and lock it.

Icon

"Hell on Earth"
That's what Icon sees when the dust settles from the explosion. Cars overturned, buildings burnt out...and he can hear the cries of injured people from miles away. As he takes in the scope of the damage to Centennial Square, and the surrounding areas he knows that the rescue efforts will be extensive, and the body count will most definitely be high.

I can't think about that right now, I have to stop these guys before more people get hurt. He thinks to himself as he emerges from the crater left by the explosion. He looks directly at Tex and Stinger, and propels himself at them at I high rate of speed.

"I'm done with you guys. Ever since you showed up, you've done nothing but prey on innocent people. I'm going to put you away, and I'm gonna make sure you stay put away!" Icon says angrily at the two thugs, as he drives a fist into Tex's temple, sending him crashing into the burnt out body of an old van. Icon moves toward where Tex lay, picking him up out of what was left of the van and hit him with a few hard right hands. He was about to hit Tex again when he felt something bounce of the back of his head.

Icon turns to find Stinger standing there, firing several of his poisoned projectiles in his direction, all of which bounce harmlessly off his chest. Icon responds by sending a kinetic blast at Stinger, which hits him dead on in the chest, sending him into the wall of a nearby building. For a moment, it looks as if Stinger is going to try to get back up, but he slumps forward, and stays down.

Satisfied that Stinger is subdued, he turns back to face Tex, only to be met by a sewer cover to his face. Icon is knocked to the ground, looking up at Tex, who is still holding the manhole cover in his hand above his head, ready to slam it down on Icon's head. Icon rolls out of the way just as the manhole cover slams into the pavement where his head had been, and in a split second he is back on his feet hitting Tex with a flurry of punches.

He grabs Tex and begins to flies up several stories into the sky, still hitting him on the way up. Tex tries fighting back, but Icon lands 3 blows for every one that Tex is able to land. Icon headbutts Tex; dazing him for a moment, and then lets him go, but before Tex can begin to fall, Icon hits hit with a roundhouse kick that sends Tex into the side of one of the buildings damaged but the explosion, and then falls the three stories to the ground. Tex lays on the ground motionless.

Several blocks away, a man is standing on a rooftop watching the battle through a pair of high powered binoculars. As a team of STRIKE agents loaded Stinger and Tex into their transports he reaches into his pocket and pulls out a cell phone.

"Cruz, Jenkins here. Test two was a success."

"Hi I'm Lauren Johnson and welcome back to CNN. We continue today with our special report on Sub City. Before the break we talked about the past of Sub City and today, thanks to Asteroid-Man we've found evidence that showed one of the U.S. cities under a controlled and fascist ruling. Apparently, the Island of Sub City and the Greater Sub City Area had been bought from the United States secretly by the Count Christopher Shade. The island was then cut off from all other civilization and Shade had made himself the unofficial ruler of the Island. But two nights ago, a hero going by the name Asteroid-Man, Guardian of the Universe thwarted Shade's plot and even battled the Island's most notorious killers who has come to be known as Killer Kristo. Kristo is still at large.

In related news, Sub Island was not only resigned as a territory of the United States but it has become an official sector of California. It has also been an amazing day for the former Senator Monty Gem as his competitor for mayor of Sub City was arrested. Yes that's right folks, the rival was in fact Shade. Gem Corp released their Energy-Crystals yesterday which as of today has become the islands new source of energy. ECs do not pollute and they are renewable. Mayor Gem is currently in talks with the United States government to make it the primary energy source of the country.

And when we get back from our next commercial break:

"Who is Asteroid-Man?"

"Is Gem running for Governor of California?"

"What is to become of Shade?"

All those answered and more after the break!"

The TV shuts off.

"Looks like you're still wanted."

"Well at least we saved the city."

"But you didn't get any of the credit! Even with the video surveillance."

"Well I did kill."

"I hope one day you'll be free."

"So do I. I hope one day the world can know."

"So what happened to Shade?"

"Well after cutting off his leg I was going to let him live-"

"But?"

"But he tried to shoot a dart at me. I swung it back at him with my sword and it hit him in the neck. He's in a comma now and it looks like he's going to die."

"Good riddance."

The two sit quietly.

"So what now?"

"Just like you, I have to get back to work."

"Oh right, Guardian of the Universe thing... hey how many other planets is there out there with intelligent life-forms?"

"Sorry, I don't like telling spoilers."

The two have a laugh.

"I'm not aloud to tell planets of other planets unless it means saving one. Sorry."

"There's a rulebook?"

"It's complicated."

Joe, now back in his costume walks up the stairs to the upper platform in the crystal room.

"How are we going to keep in touch?"

The top of the room opens up.

"Facebook."

With that Asteroid-Man blasts off on an asteroid back to his asteroid home out of the atmosphere.

END OF ARC

IC: Bennie Farmer Part XXV

Pathetic.

Ever the teenager, Bennie Farmer panicked.

Then he got a hold of himself.

Then he panicked again.

Then he got mad.

"How cute."

Farmer glanced at the ground and saw that, courtesy of his superspeed, the Blue Blur had melted all of the ice and was now making a vortex of wind, water, and medical equipment.

In a single split second, the air around the Blur was electrically charged at incredible voltage, burning his flesh to a crisp and sending him slamming into a wall with a dramatic THUD.

As the wind stopped, Farmer slumped to the ground and watched as the Blur began healing from his injuries.

Only temporarily dazed, Bennie groggily got to his feet.

There was something about that leg that had cut to the Blur's core.

"You think you're pissed off?" He asked, placing a foot on the Blur's knee.

He raised his foot in the air and brought it down on the Blur's leg with surprising force.

The Blur winced as his seared flesh was torn off by Farmer's foot.

"You don't even know 'pissed off.'" Farmer muttered, a devilish grin slithering onto his face.

Using his telekinetic abilities, he snapped the Blur's calf forward causing his toes to touch his upper thigh, sending blood shooting onto the ground from behind the Blue Blur's knee.

In that single moment, he looked into the future, as he had on his old tests in school, and saw the Blur's next move.

The Blur was hoping that his injuries would heal and he'd be able to get past Farmer, delivering a fatal blow to the back of his skull.

Half of that had already happened: The Blur's injuries had healed.

In a fraction of a second, Farmer shocked the Blur again, sending his head slamming into the sheetrock.

"When I'm done with you, you'll be missing more than your precious leg." He said, enraged. "Then maybe, just maybe, you'll get "pissed off.""

Farmer had a distinct upper hand. He knew two of the Blur's weaknesses: his leg and his doctor-friend.

He had already exploited one of them today and the other was soon to come.

I drunkinly stumble up. My head is pounding and every muscle in my body screams out in pain.

I have to end this fight...now.

WHAM!

I slam into Farmer's body at superspeeds and pick him up. In a few seconds, we're out of Chicago and into the Illinois country side. I pick up speed until I'm at my threshold of speed.

"Pardon me for the dumb pun, but you need to chill."

I go to work, letting Farmer go and watching as his body thumbles into the snow of the artic.

"Welcome to the top of the world, mother****er. There's nobody within a thousand miles of this slab of ice other than me and you."

I dissapear as I kick it up into high gear. Spinning around Farmer at superspeeds and pummeling his body with snowballs at supersonic speed.

He hard permafrost slams against his body and sends him reeling to the ground. His pink flesh starts to bruise as I don't let up an inch with the frozen attack.

He hard permafrost slams against his body and sends him reeling to the ground. His pink flesh starts to bruise as I don't let up an inch with the frozen attack.

IC: Bennie Farmer Part XXVI

Bennie Farmer's body couldn't take much more of this.

He was barely able to stay conscious.

In his mind, he focused on one thing: getting into the Blue Blur's head.

Farmer eased himself into the Blur's thoughts, picking locks in the back doors of the Blur's psyche, easing himself into the Blur's perception centers.

Slowly he felt the attacks slow down.

Eventually, the snow stopping hitting his body completely.

Falling to the ground in a heap, Farmer looked into the air and saw the Blue Blur, legs moving at almost impossible speeds and arms pumping, with a glazed look in his eye.

Inside the Blur's head, his attack was continuing; he was throttling Bennie.

Not so in reality.

"AHAHAHAH! I DID IT!" Farmer said, prancing around, making sure not to let one ounce of his power over the Blur slip up.

"How shocking!" He said, charging the electricity in his body to almost immeasurable voltage.

In a single second, he released his hold on the Blue Blur who looked shocked to find himself in midair.

With power greater than that of a bolt of lightning, Farmer unleashed a pulse of electricity onto the Blur, sending him rocketing through the sky.

"Let's see how useful your legs are in midair!" He said, triumphantly.

He had no doubt that as soon as the Blur landed, he would be right back on his way, ready to take Farmer on.

Farmer held his palms out in front of him and made a massive, hollow sphere of ice around himself, literally encasing himself in a hamster-ball made of ice.

With his telekinesis, Farmer lifted the ball and himself fifty feet in the air.

<"Get me now."> He whispered in the back of the Blur's mind.

I grind my teeth as I stand fifty feet below Farmer.

I start to run in a wide circle, the ice below my feet starts to melt as the friction turns it to water. Johnny and Bruce taught me something, water plus heat equals hot air. Hot air, hot air which rises.

I go so fast that my body becomes invisible to the naked eye. Only my tracks and the slowly boiling water remain. I keep on and on until...

BOOM!

My body flys through the air and breaks through Farmer's ice shield. We start out fall to the ground an I use him to break my fall as we fall into the icy ground.

"Now when I say you stay down."

I drive my fist into his face at superspeed and break his nose.

"Goddammit! You stay down!"

I hit him about thity times in the face in less than five seconds. I breath heavily as I look at the pink lump of hamburger meat that's his face. He leans back into the snow and slowly losses consciousness.

<"Tsk, tsk, tsk."> Farmer said, now a resident of the Blur's poorly trained mind.

<"Beat me as much as you like. Skin grows back, and chicks dig scars...">

Farmer took control of the Blur's fists and pummeled the man's crotch at blazing speeds, sending him to his knees.

<"Besides, my true power lies in the realm of thought.">

I block Farmer's voice out of my thoughts as I start to sing in my head. He's losing his psychic hold and he knows it.

<No! Listen to me!...">

<"And don't it feel good?!?!">

I break his mental blocks and give him a headache punch at superspeed.

"Yield, you son of a *****."

"You heard his voice in your head." House said, downing two vicodin capsules in his wheelchair.

"Yeah."

"After he was unconscious?"

"Yeah."

House paused for a moment before continuing.

"Ingtup mojanda lodange coriuptus datla nogpi." The doctor said.

His colleague, lying in a hospital bed looked surprised.

"You don't read the New Delhi medical journals?" House asked, surprised. "They've got an outfit similar to this one going on there... except it's, y'know, underfunded and... in New Delhi."

The two men stared at him.

"Instead of focusing on a wide array of abilities, they've focused solely on the ones dealing with mind control. Britain has one dealing with super-strength. France focuses on spontaneous combustion. But, the boys in New Delhi have discovered a little psychocommunicative side effect known as RMC."

"It stands for Residual Mental Communication."

He could tell from the looks on their faces that neither man understood the concept.

"You know when you're sitting at home, watching TV, and your girlfriend comes over? One thing leads to another and you start kissing each other, you pause the TV, and then you ascend to the bedroom, leaving the TV behind, on, and frozen for twelve hours." He said, leaning forward in the wheelchair.

"Well, when you come down in the morning, the TV's still on. In a panic you rush to turn it off, only to find that even though there's no power going to it, some color still remains in the little boxes on your screen for about fifteen seconds. Think of RMC like that... only with mind control."

Spinning in his wheelchair, House looked at the Blue Blur.

"You just have to learn how to lock yourself up a little tighter." Turning his head to one side, the doctor continued. "Other than that, how're you feeling? You alright?"

Season I, Part 61

I swear to God - I have the worst luck in the world. I mean, yes, I bring this upon myself. If you run around in spandex, claiming to be a hero, you're going to draw attention to yourself. But since when was Lost Haven populated with so many superpowered people? I mean, when I started out, I expected to fight a couple of stupid goons with the collective IQ of a peanut.

But I've gotten my ass kicked around by a guy who can summon earthquakes, a dinosaur, a classmate with superspeed, another classmate with a plant-obssession, and God knows what else!

Now, I'm fighting what could be the most irritating of them all! This guy - Voodoo - has the most annoying power ever. Any damage I inflict on him is then inflicted back on me. It's like he's a Voodoo doll...

Oh. I knew the name wasn't a coincidence!

"Having fun, Mantis?" Voodoo mocks me. We're both wincing and aching in all the same spots. My only hope is that he falls before I do - but I'm not sure I want to take that chance. There has to be some way to defeat him without defeating myself!

"You know what? I am!" I lie, blood pooling in my mouth. "Fighting guys like you is a blasty-blast! And yes, I am a Dane Cook fan!"

Voodoo says nothing. I hate it when they don't play along.

"See, this is the part where you say something like...'Wow, now I hate you even more!'"

Again, Voodoo says nothing. Instead, he continues to slowly gain upon me. He knows that I'm trapped. If I attack him, I'm just going to hurt myself. But at this point, I'm sick of standing around.

So I brace myself and deliver a shattering kick to Voodoo's right kneecap. His knees buckle, but so do mine. It must look really fun to bystanders - if there were any, that is.

"Stop...hitting yourself," Voodoo coughs.

I roll my eyes. "Listen, I'll handle the jokes - you handle being a pain in the ass. Let's not step into one another's territory."

I get back to my feet much quicker than Voodoo. I wince preemptively as I prepare for my next move. As Voodoo is on the ground, I hobble over and knee him in the ribcage. I then yelp in pain as I clutch my ribs.

"You'll never win this way!"

"Beg to differ. See, I'm willing to bet that I heal a lot better than you. Which means I can stand this whereas you can't,"
I state blandly. "So it's all a matter of who will yield first. And my money is on you!"

I pull my arm back as I prepare to unleash on Voodoo. Before I can, men in familiar suits flood into the alleyway. I recognize them from our last encounter. They're the SDS - Carver's little foray into the growing world of metahumans. I'm glad someone recognizes the need for a specialized police task force for guys like Voodoo. Plus, they save my ass at least once a month.

"Hello, Mantis. Remember me?" the leader of the SDS squad asks as he approaches me.

I nod, still clutching my ribs. "Of course. Long time no see, Sergeant Hampton."

Hampton is a good ally. I was afraid that the SDS might come after me, but Sarge assured me that we're on the same side. I'd love to visit the SDS Holding Facility some time - visit all those lunatics that I helped lock up.

"You can go home, Mantis. We're just about done here."

"Thanks."

Spinning in his wheelchair, House looked at the Blue Blur.

"You just have to learn how to lock yourself up a little tighter." Turning his head to one side, the doctor continued. "Other than that, how're you feeling? You alright?"

My mask is off and hanging limply off my back. I've got my arms crossed and leaning against the wall.

"My knee is still hurting and my head's pounding. My muscles are aching and I'm tired. I just want to go home and love up the future Mrs. Blue Blur. Once I get some dinner and some loving, I'll be fine. What about Farmer? Where do we go from here with him?"

"Take these." House said, tossing the half-full pill bottle to the Blur. "They'll do wonders for your leg."

House wrapped his hand around his cane and tried to ease himself out of his chair.

"As for Farmer, he's heavily sedated. We're still trying to figure out how to limit his access to his abilities."

I munch down about half the vicodins in the bottle before the pain starts to dull.

"Yummy. If that's all you two need from me. I'm going to go home. Today was suppose to be my day off, anyway. Call me if Farmer wakes up. I'll be here to kick his ass again."

I slip the mask on my face and turn to the two doctors.

"I'll see you tomorrow, Doctor Brown..wow, Doc Brown. Dang, maybe you can strap a Flux Compasitor to my chest and have me run at 88 miles an hour. 1.21 Jigawatts!"

I laugh as I turn to House.

"And you, you're the most arrogant, self-centered, bastard I've ever met...if you were a woman I'd marry you."

A smile creeps onto my face as I dissapear from the room and race down the streets of Chicago.

Ariel Supports You

Coming to save her baby bro's day is...interesting, to say the least. I exchange hello's with her parents that I haven't seen since Thanksgiving, and notice something in her bro's hand just before they seem to be parting ways. From first glance, looks like one of those pages of crap grocery stores sell on news stands.

You know, the pages of crap filled with gossip and stories about the shocking lives of Celebrities? Forgive me if I come across as rude...but how will it ever be valuable for me to know that Joaquin Phoenix once refused a french fry when offered? I kid you not. Five months ago or so that was the big story. It was on the cover for crying out loud.

But, out of mere curiosity, I bug the lil guy.

"What's that you're reading there, Jake?"

He hands me the magazine, and I don't know what to say. This is a celebrity magazine? Never heard of--

"The Blue Blur?"

"Yea! Only one of the coolest superheroes around!"

All right, I'll be optimistic. I had friends who used to read comics, so I read up about the guy. Ouch, that sucks. Had a one-way ticket practically for college athletics. Risked it all in the hands of some Doctor Brown and, bam...The Blue Blur.

"So he's...a superhero?"

"Yup."

"But he gets paid. So wouldn't that be more like a job?"

"He still saves lives though. Gotta admit, pretty cool."

I shrug my shoulders and give Jake back his magazine. I still cannot fathom it. He gets paid to play the role of the hero? That's so...self-centered. I wonder if he got offered the pay or demanded it. Some hero, alright. What happened to self-sacrifice? Heck, I didn't read comics like some of my friends and even I knew that. Su...Superman? Was that his name? Yea! You think he even considered getting paid for what he did? But...that's the real world for you.

Grace says her goodbyes, and when her parents try to suggest we all go to breakfast together, she makes a clever reason as to why we cannot. I kind of see what she means though. Sure, they were being nice to me cause they love me, and always have...but her little bro got the lecture of his life. Wonder if he still gets spanked. Wouldn't surprise me with the things she has told me about her parents.

"Well, that was definitely interesting."

"I know, I know. Sorry, hun."

We hop into Grace's car, and we start to head over to this diner I've been wanting to check out when she receives a phone call. Who it is, I cannot quite tell, but before she flips her phone open, seeing the number seems to excite her. She plays it cool when she answers though.

"Hey Wendy."

Ah, Wendy. She's one of Grace's best friends. Works with some engineering firm; the name escapes me for a moment. But aside from that, she is one of the people in Grace's small little 'crew' that helps me get my artwork out and about.

"...Are you serious? They told them that themselves? No...Really? Well that's definitely something. Yea, sure. I'll him right away. What? No. You can tell them to expect us to definitely be there. See ya later, Wendy. Muah."

"Uh...did I answer a question earlier or did I completely miss what happened in the total time spand of...oh, 4 seconds?"

"It was one of the Art Galleries, hun. Wendy said they wanted to know if we could be there sometime soon and I said yes."

"Soon? How soon."

Grace gets ready to use the puppy dog eyes. Oh crap.

"Heh...Sunday?"

"In two days? Woah woah woah, Grace. I...I thought we were going to--"

"I know! I know! But what if they get someone else to take your spot? I couldn't let that happen! And you gotta face it, babe. I seem to be doing all the work while you keep painting whatever pops into that little noggin of yours. Somebody has to make your decisions, after all."

"...At least I seem to have the hottest agent ever."

I forgive her. So it was a little bit earlier than expected. Two days should be plenty of time...although I really would've appreciated we agreed on it before she gave Wendy the green light.

OOC: Spike, Syn I’ve jumped the timeline a bit, so the gang war itself, has been going on for about a month.

Standing outside, to a payphone of all places, five wise guys keeping an eye on things with me, any **** goes down with us, they’ll sort it out. Two other guys are in a car in the other side of the road, protecting me, if I were a celebrity, I would get the same protection, only difference? Less obvious.

“Hey, any of you got change?”

“Oh yeah sure, Mr.Zano!” One of the soldiers gets out some money and gives it to, “Here you go, sir.”

“Thanks.”

Respect, I’ve run this down since 1990, and I’ve done it well, Mickey D’Anglinio picked me for a reason, not to sound arrogant but hey? What you goanna do.

Dialling the numbers, we have a hut only me and Joey know about, in the family we used to go there for holidays, my pap would take me and Nicky on trips over there and go hunting. Uncle Danny came along, a friend of my dad’s, made guy. One trip up there, Uncle Danny went hunting with my dad. Next thing you know, he never came back, wasn’t till I got involved with the business that I found out, Danny was a rat.

The phone rings, I haven’t talked to them in over a month, it’s killing me just to hear my wife’s voice, the phone picks up.

”Hello?”

“Julia?”

“Franco?”

“Yeah.”

“Oh god, I was so worried, the news has kept coverage on this for days, I’m so glad you’re okay, oh my god.”

After that, she’s reminded how angry she is with me.

“Why haven’t you phoned? What’s the matter with you! We’ve been worried sick, Tony’s been going crazy, he actually thinks you’re dead, he was crying for god’s sake! Jenny been phoning me from college non-stop, Billy even cancelled his trip to Chicago!”

“Billy, what?”

“Yeah, he wanted to come down to Haven but I told him no, no one even knows where you are! Billy’s been with me and so has Antonio, Jenny’s still in L.A. studying but her grades aren’t going well!”

“Jesus Christ, look, Julia I promise you when this is all done, and it will be. I’ll make sure everything goes back to normal, the people treating you alright?”

“What, you mean your lackeys that you don’t even know their names? Oh yeah just great, they were all so afraid that I’d **** them that they literally stayed outside and put all the food outside the door.”

“Wait, what do you mean they would **** you?”

“Oh come on, you know how it goes in the movies, just an expression!”

“No! No! I want to know, did they touch you?”

“NO! I just said they were outside keeping away from me.”

“But you wouldn’t **** them?”

“Oh Jesus Christ Frank, no I was ugh…listen when can we come home?”

“Soon, I promise, I’m goanna end all the **** down here and then it will all fix itself.”

“It better!”

“Okay, Julia I’m sorry.”

“It’s okay.”

“Can I speak to Antonio?”

“…I don’t think he wants to talk right now but next time you call.”

“Okay, good bye.”

“Bye.”

Hanging up I walk out the booth, heading outside into the cold, stopping for a moment, all of them starring at me and around them.

”Hey Mr. Zano, are you alright?”

“errr…Yeah, I’m fine, don’t worry.”

Going inside just reminds me, who’s on my side, and who’s not?

AGNUS DEI
Season I - Part 12

"So, what's the next step? I mean... what can we do now?"

Ernie Block, chief of police, regarded the amnesiac with a guarded pity.

"I've got a friend in the FBI. We go way back. I'm going to let him in on this... just a little. He'll be able to dig better than me. Those feds have got bigger shovels."

The amnesiac reluctantly agreed and Block left the cathedral.

Alone in the basement, the amnesiac sat on his bed and waited. Father Wycazik had been sent to the nearest hospital, hoping to obtain the supplies neccessary to continue feeding the amnesiac intravenously.

Suddenly, the amnesiac was struck by a piercing migraine. He closed his eyes as a clouded scene unfolded before his eyes...

"Damn it! We're surrounded! This is it! We've got to get out of here!"

The amnesiac is seeing things through the eyes of this man, who is shouting in a state of panic. He seems to be in some sort school, a long hallway visible through an open door. The building is engulfed in flame. Sounds of gunfire and screams reverberate off the walls.

"Get out of here? Don't be stupid! You know that this is what is supposed to happen! We die here!"

The other man is slim with red-hair. He is soft spoken, yet authoritative. His eyes betray a fiery, hate-filled soul.

"Die? We can still make it! The others... we can save them! Call it off! End this now and we can--"

"End this? This is the end! How long have we talked about this? How long have we all been preparing for this?"

"It's not right!"

"It is! This is God's plan for us! Only through this can we attain salvation!"

The first man (who the amnesiac is seeing these events through) suddenly produces a pistol from the waist of his pants.

"End it now. I'm serious. You are wrong. You're a sick man and you're wrong. Now stop this hole thing before I have to put a bullet in you."

The red-haired man is not scared for a moment. He sits down on a simple bed and folds his hands in his lap.

"No mere bullet can stop the will of the Almighty."

The amnesiac suddenly returns to normal, once again staring at the cold cement floor of the cathedral's basement.

What has he just seen? Was it real? Who were those men? And what was the signifigance of the vision?

He contemplates these questions. He waits. But no answers come.

Landing on the roof of Lost Haven General Hospital, Adam removed his costume and fixed his civilian clothes into place and made his way down into the building through the roof access. It didn't take long to find the perfect mark in one of the Emergency Room nurses who was on her break. In only a few minutes of flirting with her, Adam had learned that a severely beaten man had been admitted a short time before, with injuries fitting roughly with what witnesses had described Pulse as taking the brunt of. Smiling seductively, the nurse told Adam that she could meet him for coffee in half an hour once her shift was over. The Survivor flashed his best smile and agreed to meet her, but of course had no intention of following through with those plans. Instead, Adam had an urgent meeting with the vigilante from Blitzen later that evening.
Syn (Mercenary) said:
“No!” Eric yells as he awakens from his deep sleep in a violent fit. He sits up right in the bed, his body soaked in sweat. He suddenly feels a pain in his side, and grabs at it with his arm. As he breathes heavily, he feels the stitches in his side. Eric rips the sheets off of his body, and stares at his legs. He sees no bullet wounds and takes in a deep breath. He feels the pain in his back, and winces in agony. After a few moments, Eric realizes it was all a dream. A haunting vision projected by his subconscious. He looks around the dark room, surveying his surroundings. He remembers where he is, and slowly leans back in the bed.

“A nightmare.” He says, struggling to catch his breath. “All a dream.” Eric rests his head gently on the pillow, his fingers slowly gliding over the stitched and stapled wounds on his body. He stares up at the ceiling, his mind racing with his thoughts. Zano put me her, he thinks. Franco Zano. Crosshair isn’t here. It was all a dream.

Eric stays silent, his mind still lingering on the memories of the vision. Eric’s eyes focus as he suddenly thinks a question to himself. One that he hopes he can answer, but he knows he cannot. “It was a dream…but was it the truth?”
"The nightmare's not over yet." Stepping out from the shadows in Eric's dark hospital room, the man whose current alias was Adam Locke grabbed the Alert switch at Eric's bedside that could call in a nurse with a push of a button, and hung it on an IV hanger, out of the patient's reach. Just in case.

There seemed to be a swiftness about Adam's figure as he walked around to the other side of the bed. If Eric had looked closely, he would've have caught a brief shimmer of orange light in his visitor's cruel-looking eyes as he finally came to the other side of his bed and looked at Eric inquisitively. "But you should actually know that more intimately than I do. In fact, this particular nightmare won't end until Zano is brought to justice..." A knowing smirk washed onto Locke's face at that moment. "Isn't that right, Pulse?"

"It's alright, I've got you." Icon said as he pulls Sandra Prescott from the rubble of Centennial Bank. Icon has been working for hours with rescue workers locating and getting victims out of the rubble in Centennial Square in the wake of the explosion that toppled several buildings, and damaged many more. Unfortunately, it's been more of a recovery effort than a rescue. The numbers of dead pulled from the rubble outnumber the survivors three to one.

"Oh, thank you. I didn't think anyone would find me! I thought that I was-" Sandra was cut off.

"Shh...it's alright, you're in good hands now. These folks will take good care of you." Icon says as he motions to the paramedics who rush her into a waiting ambulance for evaluation.

"It's not looking good Icon, we've found a lot of people but there are still a lot more that are missing. And we're losing daylight. And with the temperature dropping like it is, I don't know who many will last." Officer Brown said. "I know you're doing everything you can, and you've been a huge help. But we need to speed this up. If we don't...." He trails off.

"We will, Officer." Icon reassures the man. However, he knows that he is right. The temperature is rapidly approaching "0" and many of the victims were office workers, very few prepared for the elements. If they didn't hurry, the people who survived the explosion who are trapped, will surely die from exposure.

"Well, any ideas?" Officer Brown asks, sounding almost desperate.

"Excuse me Officer Brown, but I need to get back to work." Officer Brown says something else, but Icon ignores him, closing his eyes and focusing on the rubble around him.

Using an almost radar sense he "looks"into the rubble, scanning it for anything that doesn't belong. He moves from pile of rubble, to pile of rubble without finding anything. He continues scanning the area, until he finds something in the rubble of a destroyed law firm.

"I found something." He says as opens his eyes and is headed in the direction of the former law firm. He immediately begins pulling at the rubble, easily moving chunks of debris that normally would have required cranes and other heavy construction vehicles to move. After digging for a few moments he finds what he is looking for. "It's ok ma'am, I have you." He carefully takes her from the rubble and moves her over to a waiting stretcher near one of the many ambulances that are on the scene.

"Thank you, but you have to save....you have to save the others...others in..." The woman's eyes rolled into the back of her head and her chest heaved one last time, and she was gone.

Icon stood there for a moment holding the woman's hand, finally resting it on her chest. He stepped away from her as Officer Brown stood next to him.

"The workers found the others in the office that she was talking about. We were too late."

"No Officer Brown, I was too late."

"Don't beat yourself up too much kid, not even you 'super folks' can save everyone."

Nightmares Part II

Pulse sits up in his bed quickly, the mysterious voice alerting him. He feels the pain in his side as it sharply burns. He pushes the pain aside in his mind, and tries to focus. He sees a man step out of the shadows, and walk around the bed. He soon stops on one side of the bed, and stares at Eric with a smirk.

"Isn't that right, Pulse?"

Eric's face soon turns to a frown, his fear and panic turning into unbridled rage. In a swift motion, Eric jumps out of the bed and onto his visitor. He thrusts the man to the floor, making a loud "thud" as their bodies hit the ground. Eric grabs the man's throat, his grip on his windpipe getting tighter by the second. His eyes burn with rage as sweat begins to fall from his face in large drops.

"How do you know who I am? Who are you?" He says, saliva spewing from his mouth. "Talk! Or I will collapse your trachea!"

Despite allowing Eric to jump him and knock him to the floor with both hands at his throat, Adam's neck muscles were far too strong to even be short of breath in Pulse's grip. No matter how much power Eric may have had, his body's physical strength still appeared to be roughly human. "Even if you had the strength to do that, trust me, it wouldn't make a difference." With superhuman speed, the Survivor's own hands were wrapped around Pulse's wrists and effortlessly pulled them away from his neck. "Sit down," said Adam as he rose to his feet and pushed Eric, gently, but firmly enough to force him back onto the side of the bed. "We wouldn't wanna rip those fragile stitches, would we?" The look on Adam's face at the mention of Pulse's current state of fragility seemed to be enough to tell Eric not to try that again.

"You were easy enough to track down, but relax. I'm not here to hurt you, old timer." The Survivor's stern expression remained the same as he then crossed his arms over his chest. "I just need to know where Franco Zano was headed."

Nightmares Part III

Eric sneers, his mind rapidly thinking of possible attack or escape plans. His eyes move around the room, looking for anything out of the ordinary. To Eric's fortune, he sees no cameras in the room, and he begins to calm himself down.

"You still haven't answered my question." He says with a growl. "Who are you?"

Eric surveys the man, eyeing up his size, possible weight, and stature. This guy's strong, he thinks to himself. And he seems to know his way around a few fighting stradegies. I can't fight him in my current state. Not yet, anyway. Eric keeps a close watch on the man's movements, staying alert for any sudden movements.

"I'm a survivor, and I'm on your side." With a sigh, Adam's expression softened slightly. "Trust me, if I wanted to hurt you, you'd know it, and if I wanted you dead, you never would've woken up. We have the same goals here; to get Zano. I need to know where he was last headed. The sooner you tell me, the sooner I leave you in peace and bring that bastard down. Comprende'?"

Mad Scientist - Part I
Chapter 33: Surge II conclusion

Before I grab his hand, turned my hair and eyes back to their normal brown and green, then introduced myself.

"Jon. Nice to meet you, Jake. Good to know I'm not the only hero out here in the world."

But then my cell-phone starts ringing in my pocket. I pull it out and check the caller ID.

"Steph?" I asked myself dumbfounded. It's probably something important.

"Sorry I gotta cut this short, Jake. Enferno needs me, but here. Take this."

I then tossed him a small, pocket-sized beacon that's linked to my phone.

"Use this in an emergency. I'll help you. But only dire, life-or-death emergencies. Got it?" I ask seriously.

"Yes." he replied nodding.

"Alright then. See you around, Jake."

* * *
"Uh...Bye?" I say lightly as he flies away. At least now I know how to contact him if- Suddenly something cuts off my train of thought. A plant, a very small, vine covered plant. That wasn't there before. I walk up to it and pick it up. All of a sudden, the plant melts into a jelly-like mixture in my hand. Then vines lash out of it and cover my lower arm. More vines whip out and fall on the ground. The group swipes together and create a Human figure. The thing looks human, but bulky, and covered in vines, with no apparent human skin. It has no hair, no mouth, no nose, no ears, just eyes on it's face. On the hands and feet, the vines merge into green moss like skin. Oh yeah, and my hand is stuck in the mass of his chest.

"You are Jacob Henry Coles. Confirm." The plant-man says. I nod. He relinquishes his hold on me. I pull my hand out.

"Follow me." The thing demands.

"Look Buster, I'm not going anywhere." I tell him. He turns to me, and stares at me with his emotionless eyes. Two vines uncoil from his body and rear up. Before I can move, they dart forward and extend, wrapping round my shoulders and drawing me toward him. He pulls me into him, and I am helpless to resist. As the moss and vines enclose me, my life flashes before my eyes, and everything goes black.

Danny Ran, the local DJ in the Central Island area of Midtown, he was the official “manager” of the Malibu club, which has been the main place of the known mobsters, Franco Zano, Jackie “Faces” Carbone, Luigi Gonbolo and Joey Testfara. Danny although labelled an “associate” only pays the infamous gangsters for gambling and cocaine debuts he owed them, and for protection money let them use his then small club and they soon helped it become one of the leading in all of Haven.

Due to on going mob war between the Carlos and the Zanos, Danny was told to keep the Malibu closed at all times, and to have people in there the whole time, mostly made men and soldiers of the Zano family since their allies are short and the Malibu was an easy target.

Danny made his usual daily shift, walk around the town, do some cloth shopping buy some new music CD’s for inspiration, look for new talent on the horizon as he walked down the street of his local club, a stranger walked up to him.

“Hey excuse me, are you Danny Ran?”

Danny looked back, his balding pony tail flapping in the air, “Er yeah I am, why do you ask?”

The stranger laughed, “I’m a huge fan of your work, especially your 1980’s stuff.”

“Oh, why thanks, surprised anyone remembers!” Danny said with a laugh.

“Hey, I’ve been trying to get into the DJ business and I’ve been looking for work, I’ve got the CD with me, is it alright if you take a look at some of my work, if you’re not busy other wise then I can.”

“Nah that’s okay, I’m not really doing anything you can come inside now if you want?”

“Are you sure?”

“Yeah sure come on in, I’ll get the stereo on, come inside.”

“Aw thank you, thank you so much sir!”

Danny got out his keys and opened the doors to the club, “Hello?” he yelled to an empty room with bar stools all up on the tables, upside down and all the dance lights turned off with only a big screen turned on and two of the Bonoviti crew sitting down watching TV.

“Hey guys it’s me, Danny!”

“Hey!” One of the men said, a bit worried, the other relaxing eating potatoes chips just casually nodded and waved.

“Do you want to listen to it here or…”

“Nah come on upstairs, I have a recording studio, so I can really get the jist of it.”

”Er yeah, that’s cool.”

The two men went upstairs, one of the guards got out of his chair, “Hey I’m going outside ta get a hot dog, you stay here, okay?”

He said, tiring to act casual, and pulling it off as he put on a jacket and went outside, the other just again casually waved.

Meanwhile in the recording studio, Danny went up stairs, “Okay, basically I keep everything in here, if you want to pop the CD in and I’ll just turn on the stero.”

“Okay sure..”

Danny with one shuttle click, Danny turned on the equipment, then…

BOOM!

Outside, the solider rushed away from the Malibu club, rushing to the Subway, before speaking into his cell phone.

“Hey, tell Mickey Carlo, it’s done!”

The member hung up his phone and rushed into the Subway.

Nicko Tusonoli, slept in his cell on his first night in Lost Haven’s Prison Island, he was a cop killer caught by a random vigilante carrying the severed hands and head of a police officer, who might have started the entire war. Relaxing in the cell, he was not given a cell mate and could sleep alone, he awaited the FBI agents to come on in tomorrow morning and tell him that he can turn states evidence, rat out some of his old friends like Freddy Buso, Billy Brasco, Donnie “Mechanic” and live in the country side for the rest of his life with a different name and a nice house.

In the darkened halls of the island, Nicko tried desperately to sleep when all of a sudden, TAP TAP TAP!

Waking up, his eyes feeling almost sealed tight, he could just about make the image of two guards waiting for him outside.

“What the **** do you want?” He said, they turned on their flashlights, “You Nicko?”

“Yeah?”

“Some guys from the FBI want to see you, something about a trial.”

“Oh right, well it’s a bit ****ing late!”

”Yeah well, big deal you want out of here or not?” sighing, Nicko got up walking towards the cell as the guards opened it.

“Here, put these on.”

CLICK! His hands were sealed tightly, “Put the other ones on!” the other bent down and placed them on the feet of him.

”Hey what the-“

“It’s procedure.”

“Oh, I just thought you **** liked it that way haha.”

The dry expression of the guard stayed still on his face as he pushed Nicko away, moving him forward, slowly walking towards the outside of the main hall, after a few minutes they reached endless halls, until finally they reached their destination.

”Okay Nicko, here it is.”

The cold draft of outside, reached Nicko’s skin, harshly “Are you sure we’re in the right place?”

“Shut up!” One of the guards hit Nicko in the back of the head as he opened the door, revealing the balcony of the prison, the isolated area which only had one search light. Which was turned off.

“HEY HEY! WHAT THE **** YA DOING!”

“What does it look like? We’re making money!” The guard stamped on Nicko’s head as the other kicked him in the balls, “Yeah, hurts don’t it?” the other then picked his head up and smashed it into the wall, blood ran down his face.

“PLEASE SOMEBODY-“ The other covered Nicko’s mouth which his baton, “You got the bricks?”

“Yeah I got them.” One of the guards, struggled to keep the baton on Nicko’s mouth as the other got four bricks out, on ropes, and tied them to his hand and foot cuffs.

“Okay, tight rope now let’s get this over with!”

“HEY HEY HEY!” Nicko said, his mouth now nearly destroyed by the baton, the guards lifted him up with their arms into the air, “Hey, Nicko, ever wondered the rumors of Sharks being in the Lost Haven river?”

“Well, you’re about to find out!”

“NO NO NO!” They threw him, straight into the ocean, about two yards away from the prision walks, as the extra amount of weight he carried made him harder to throw, it didn’t stop it. Nicko flew straight into the ocean, making a fish sound as he sunk to deep blue water, almost crying he tried to swim back up but the force of the bricks, and the cuffs preventing him from getting anywhere, Nicko just simply drowned and sank to the bottom, sleeping with the fishes.
