DC Relaunching Everything? - Part 2

Either Supes is old as hell, or everything gets moved up making the JSA younger. I'm not a fan of either idea.

Yeah they said so but Kuro seems to really want it to happen so all i'm asking is why? Its not really important, in fact it basically wipes the DC timeline clean of every superheroes that preceded him. What about the Black Pirate, or those secret fighter pilots in WW2? I can think of more but i'm kinda sleepy right now.

Or Hercules, or Achilles, or SHAZAM and Black Adam.

Or maybe they just mean the first Modern guy with effin' Super Powers.

The Black Pirate wasn't exactly a superhero. He was more in that Scarlet Pimpernel/Zorro mystery man area. The main benefit of cramming the JSA on this new Earth is if they come after Superman-which is DC apparent decision-then they wouldn't have to be 90 years old and half of them dead.

If it was up to me, I'd just have them on Earth-Two because if someone wants to follow the JSA they're just going to end up having to deal with that anyway. It just works better. They're Golden Age characters and they are tied to World War II. It's best for them to not be old and decrepit and easy targets for stupid crossovers like Zero Hour which killed or massively aged over half the team.

I loved this Batman story from a few years ago where he teamed up with Alan Scott on an old case Scott had and he talked about how he inspired him to become a hero.

Exactly. Superman hardly ever seems to age in any future scenarios presented in the comics as it is. It seems like Morrison is just applying that in retrospect to Supes, allowing him to be the same age for literally the entirety of the DC universe's superhero-centric history. So he'll probably just join both the JSA and the JLA.

Imagine if they fused JLA and JSA together, making a young Alan Scott the JL Green Lantern (wielding a GL Corps ring) and a young Jay Garrick as the JL Flash (sporting the modern Flash costume).

Having them fight alongside Batman and Superman.

And TheIncredibleSk is right, I'm not a huge comic fan. or more precisely, not a huge comic book reader. that's not to say I don't like comic book characters.

I've heard of the JLA of course, but this was the 1st time I ever heard of the JSA.

Where was that stated? That doesn't sound right at all; if Superman is the first superhero and he's only been in action five years, then Batman has only been in action for five years as well--and there's no way Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, Tim Drake, and Damian Wayne fit into the timeline. It's literally impossible, considering Damian's age.

I really don't think that's accurate.
