Dead Rising 2, Possible trailer leak?

Haha, I ran into the bathroom with the nerds the first time, too. I had to quickly run back out set a waypoint for them outside. So they effectively just stood outside, cowering like little girls, while I beat a psycho to death with a spiked bat. :)

The guy on the bike is super annoying because it's hard to get a good vantage point to attack him. If you run up to him from the wrong angle, even if you look like you're on the side of him, you get knocked back by his bike's chainsaws. He was a lot easier to beat on my second play-through, though, since I knew where the LMG was by then.

I get too distracted playing these games. I'm still near the beginning, because I just keep wondering around exploring and finding things.

I save that for later. I'm usually more interested in the story than anything else, which keeps me on-task. Now that I'm on my second play-through, I just ignored the story missions and never even met Rebecca. The game has surprisingly long stretches with nothing to do if you're not bothering with the story, it turns out.

I was freaking lucky with the dude on the bike. He got stuck against the wall in an alleyway and just broke his **** up with my spiked bat.

Yeah, that happened to me one time, too. I had an electric rake at the time. Suffice to say, it was loads of fun for me.

Of course, I went and got killed without saving afterward, so I had to kill him again. :o

So I missed out on the Overtime mode simply because
I didn't give TK some Zombrex
that's some ******** to me.

Why? You only got Overtime mode if you did certain things to get a certain ending in the first game, too.

Yeah. That's one of the reasons they suggest to save in the multiple save slots.

I just hate that there wasn't really any indication that you had to do that one task to open OT mode, that and I accidently saved over the slot I was playing on. So now I have to start all over.

But from what I've read, some say OT mode isn't at good as it was in the first game.

It wasn't. But it was still all right.

The
Gas Zombies
near the end of the game are such a pain in the ass. Luckily I'm saving the game constantly thanks to multiple save slots

Overall it's a kickass game.

Yeah, they're real b****es. I kind of wish they'd just left them out, but I guess they felt they had to do something special for the climax of the game.

Oh, to anyone who's having trouble with the hand-to-hand fight at the end, I found a strategy that works really well:
There's a hard kick move you can do (this is on the 360 version; not sure of the PS3 controls) by holding the right trigger and pressing X. It knocks the wind out of the boss and they go down on one knee for a couple seconds. You can do the kick while holding a weapon, so basically you just run around until you get a nice opening on the boss, do that kick move, and then attack with whatever weapon you have equipped. They don't disarm you if you stop attacking by the time they get up, so you should limit your attack while they're down to just about one full combo with whatever weapon you have (I used a broadsword with the Blades magazine). If you're a fairly high level with a decent attack stat, you'll be done with him in just a couple minutes.

What's the best way of getting 72000 zombie kills?

1st method I heard was to, use the suv at the beginning and ignore everything until times runs out.

2nd method was to use the suv and do only the case files/zombrex and use OT time.

The latter method might be better, since you can access the underground tunnels with the SUV in Overtime. You should be able to drive down there, demolish a few hundred zombies until the car stops working, hop in one of those little carts and backtrack back up. Since there's a loading screen between the two areas, the SUV should probably respawn (not sure on that, though, since I haven't actually used the SUV). If it does, just rinse and repeat that process until you rack up the numbers.

Come to think of it, I'm just about at Overtime on my current play-through. I may ignore the Overtime missions and try that myself.

I'm about halfway through the game, just about at the time Katey will need her 3rd Zombrex. Really liking it so far, made the electric chair with LMG last night, that thing is awesome!

I really need to manage my time better though, waited until after the fight with the dancers in "The Source" before dealing with Slappy or Stuart's rebellion in the Safe House. So both were in the red, had to work really fast, first tried dealing Stuart then Slappy, ran out of time while fighting him and I couldn't attack, it was really weird, took awhile but finally defeated Slappy and made it back to the safe house in time to calm down Stuart.

One question about Terror is Reality though, do you need to play in Ranked matches to get achievements? Also, what's the difference, I don't think I've ever played Ranked matches before.

The Blitzkrieg? Yeah, I made that the other day. It's a shame it runs out of ammo, though. I'd find the items in the outdoor area and just drive around shooting everything in sight if it had unlimited ammo. That'd be an awesome way to rack up the Zombie Genocider achievements. :hehe:

You do need to play ranked Terror Is Reality matches to get achievements and keep the cash you win for the SP game. The only difference between a ranked match and a player match is that the ranked ones count for your record on the leaderboards.

You can't drive the SUV down there. I tried, the second gate that's 3/4 ways down prevents it. But you can bring down the chainsaw bike down there. Can't really rack up a lot of kills down there though. You're better up topside.

Anyone one up for co-op? I need the co-op achievement. :awesome:

I just finished the game again and got the crappy Ending C, how many endings are there?

I know that to keep the cash it needs to be a ranked match. I'm not 100% sure in terms of the achievements though, I won a round last night and the achievement didn't pop up, however, it wasn't the first round, not sure if that makes a difference. The two games I actually played, the first round was random and the next three were always the same though.
