It's gonna be Denzel and we all know it. Other names will get mentioned, but Denzel has it in the bag. I can't imagine anyone else.

Not to mention Lee Bajermo(DC Comics artist/WB Concept Artist) did that artist rendition a whiiiiiiiiile back where he maniped Denzel into two-face.

1st thing that popped in my mind.

Dent, Damnit! Author: Jett Thursday, November 9, 2006 - 12:29 PM In regards to the casting of Harvey Dent, it looks as if none of the rumored candidates will end up with the job -- not to say that they were not in the mix. In addition, there are whispers that they are “aiming high” in terms of the actor who will ultimately portray Dent. There is also been some strong indication that the casting of the future Two Face may not be considered “conventional.”

Who might it be?

At this stage its best to wait for an official announcement.Obviously BOF have been fed wrong info about Dent.:o Or am i interpreting that piece wrongly?

I agree stop the BOF hating ( oh here we go yet again!) things do change....
Wouldn't really call it hate cause at the end of the day Jett is a (major) Batman fan and folks do appreciate what he has done for the fan community with his site.People are just getting a little cynical every time a rumor pops up and is later debunked. Its getting pretty fustrating and its not helping the sites rep either.

The guys over at Chud.com summed it up well...

IN THE FUTURE EVERYONE WILL BE ATTACHED TO A BATMAN FILM FOR FIFTEEN MINUTES

When you’re called Batman On Film, you don’t have a lot of options on how to fill your daily content quota*. That means I’m not surprised when every single actor in a certain age group eventually gets mentioned on their site as a candidate for this role or that in The Dark Knight.

The latest is Ethan Hawke as Harvey Dent, who Christopher Nolan has confirmed will be in the movie. I know a guy who apparently read the scriptment for The Dark Knight, and word is that Dent gets his face scarred towards the end of this film – but if that’s bull****, don’t hold it against me. I’m just hypocritically doing what I just teased Batman On Film about!

I guess Ethan Hawke would make an OK Harvey Dent. Is Two Face supposed to smell? Because I’ve sat next to Hawke and been overwhelmed by the funk, and I don’t mean that in a George Clinton kinda way. But before this turns into Defamer, I’ll say that while Hawke seems like an OK choice, he doesn’t seem like a slam-dunk. I actually like the perennially rumored Jake Gyllenhaal better – it’s easy to see him playing chumpy good guy Harvey Dent, and I’d like to see if he could bring the crazy for Two Face.

We won’t know much of anything for a couple of months at least, so don’t hold your breath. In the meantime, someone should mock up a version of Batman On Film where you can insert your friend’s names into the ubiquitous “So and So Rumored to Play Harvey Dent in The Dark Knight!” headlines.

*I kid Batman on Film. They actually have a lot of content dealing with all aspects of Batman. They just run a ton of very sketchy rumors.

Michael Caine said filming was starting in March and I KNOW from one of the crew (Martin Kingsley....props, whom I have been working with on a film called EXODUS) that crewing does not start till MARCH! so shooting cannot start till the crew is ready to go....
Pre-shooting starts in January according to one of the producers. And you're wrong about the crew. They've already been crewing up and have already started pre-production. An art department is in place designing costumes, storyboarding etc. Ledger has alrady done a 3D scan for the TDK fx people. He said so himself.

without the crew ya cant do turd!.....and I also have been working with Jimmy O'Dee who was Ken Watanabbe's stunt double when 'cough' Ra's and Bruce fight in the Leauge of Shadows place....shook thier hands I tell ya....quite intresting the people I have worked with on Exodus done loads of films especisly stunt team....They hope to be called up again for TDK and Jim is actually Paul Bettney's personal stunt double so had he got the Joker part then he (Jim) would have been on it and i would have crap loads of stuff to tell you ...(we swaped email address etc)
Interesting...now spill the real beans bub.:cwink: :hyper:

I wouldn't mind seeing Denzel as Dent, he would be great.
It can't get anyworse than Tommy Lee's performance, now can it?

I checked out his profile on IMDB, and Denzel's schedule looks free for Spring '07.

Yeah now that’s what I call out of the box, that guy’s a real life two face for cryin out.. he'll pull it off

In response to D's Pacino theory....I always wanted to get a de-aging machine and make Al Pacino 35 again so he could play this role. If they were going for an "old harvey" He'd be fantastic. I'd dig it. With a spade.

FYI,

Both Denzel and Daniel Day Lewis's schedules are free for filming of TDK in Feb. or Mar.

Ok,

My wishlist is in this order (As unrealistic as it may be):

Guy Pierce
Russell Crowe
J. Phoenix
Clive Owen

However by prediction is that it will be one of these (In this order):

Daniel Day Lewis (Which I love)

Leonardo DiCaprio (This would be interesting...very interesting)

Denzel Washington (I love Denzel, absolutely love his work, but I'm not convinced hes right for Dent.)

Viggo Mortensen (Less frills and thrills but quality actor)

Ralph Fiennes (Excellent actor but can he pull off Two-Face or would the audience fall asleep?

My wish list

DiCaprio
Phoenix

My "I can dig it" list
Russell Crowe
Schreiber
Denzel
Mortensen
Meloni
Wahlberg
Sutherland

My "why would you suggest him?" list
Cusack
Owen
The Rock

My "Okay, but for some reason, I still don't like it" list
Ethan Hawke
Guy Pearce

Owen

I take it you mean Clive.

Why, because he is cool. He's the man who should have been Bond and with Bale as a former Bond candidate, Owen just seems to be a formiable opponent especially after watching The Bourne Identity.

Plus he just has that look and you know what? Clive could have very easily have been Bruce Wayne. And hes a good actor and go screen presence.

This guy will be the next big thing.

I'm starting to think unconvential could mean "not known for this genre", such as a comedian. I was originally thinking older when I heard the news(Pacino, DeNiro). Trying to think of A list comedians
steve carrel
Jack Black(god I hope not)
Jim carrey(same as above)
Will Ferrell
Jaime Foxx
Vince Vaughn(I could dig it)
Luke,Owen wilson(God no)
Adam Sandler

Boy, I'm really reaching with this comedian theory :)

He's already a big thing. But he's inescapably british. Of all the characters Harvey is one of a few that I don't think should be noticably british. That's why.

Hmm... This is going to sound strange, but I'm actually thinking Don Cheadle.

We are in november after all, shouldn't we have heard of something by now?

Russel crowe or joaquin phoenix, clive also fits the bill, and he would be a great match for bale in almost every aspect.

I was thinking the same thing:up:

Ohhhhh!! What a great suggestion. Wow, I never thought of that.

I don't think Nolan is brave and bold enough to do it though. If he does, then he truly deserves a high five!

Wow, very interesting choice.

Well there are ways to deal with that. Remember Darth Maul?

I posted this in another thread, but I'll post it here too:

it just occurred to me; what if they're trying to woo PACINO!?!?! He's definitely someone to "aim high" at, and unconventional in terms of age for casting Dent . . . also, he's worked w/ Nolan in the past, which Nolan has been quoted as saying he likes to do (when you work with good people, yadda, yadda). . . hmmmmmm

I would be all down for that. That would ****ing own.
