Well, I think the writers caused some of it, but the two girls are obviously friends.

It is kind of sad that the writers didn't think how the should would evolve from their strict realistic approach. They really could've improved on Laurels overall story from it. Have her mother be a former vigilante that ran with a "Justice Society" back in the day.

Dinah is screwed up in the head, at the end of the day she could have been BC a long time ago but simply blocked it out because of some horrific accident.

Or she could exist in Jay Garrick's universe.

Eh. I know it's canon, but I don't think I would've liked that. In retrospect, I think they should've just had Laurel be the (only) Black Canary from the start.

She tagged it that because she is in Arrow and Danielle is in The Flash. Laurel will be dealing with Sara and Constantine for the next couple of weeks.

Eh. I know it's canon, but I don't think I would've liked that. In retrospect, I think they should've just had Laurel be the (only) Black Canary from the start.

I think it would've been a cool way to bring in some the more normal heroes of the JSA. Have them be a rag tag team that fight for justice back in the day. Her mother would have already moved on from that life, would've given Laurel an extended family. Plus I just really want a Joyce moment from Dinah where she goes badass on a bad guy for a quick second that is threatening her daughter.

I honestly think this seems like a nice idea. Have it be like in the comics. Where this is how Quentin meets Laurel's mom.
