I'm pretty sure if anything, Laurel would be prosecuting Helena, not defending her–after the whole kidnapping thing in S2.

my guess laurel put a wrench in Darhk's plan by having his wife remove as Mayor candidate so HIVE control will be weaken

I also believe the Canary Cry is getting a upgrade. I wonder if they will sound the cry specific effect like in smallville and animated series

The Canary Cry ain't getting an upgrade, they already had Cisco make it 10x more powerful then the Canary Bombs and we see how these writers treat that.

It is a damn shame that they didn't make a storyline out of whoever is stalking Laurel for DD. Could've turned him/her into someone who becomes obsessed with her and given us a creepy storyline and Laurel her own mini villain.

That training scene was better then half of the fights in S4 thus far. They did a good job with stunt work, incorporating Katie into it, A+.

Eh, it would probably still be utterly useless. Her device is already 10x stronger than Sara's was. She mostly is giving people a headache and very rarely knocks them back with it.

That is entirely because the Arrow writers suck. If there is ever a a crossover with Supergirl I would fully expect her to need saving by Felicity because that is how Guggenheim rolls.
