Arrow Dinah Laurel Lance/Katie Cassidy Thread - Part 3

Just seems like such a waste to kill Laurel off after transitioning her into Black Canary. Would've preferred they'd had kill her off at the end of s1 or 2.

But this would add up with everyone whose been analyzing KCs twitter activity. Profile change, header change, interviews not really commenting what's next for Laurel. And of course MG seems to like more "original" charecters who aren't tied down to a big destiny and who they have more freedom molding.

The signs all seem to point at her .. but it makes me wonder if they're purposely trying to outsmart us. I doubt it, since we know Guggenheim doesn't like KC very much, but I hope there's some swerve.

Well remember, we knew a death was coming, and while they faked Roy's death, Thea was the one who ended up dying. Even though they tried to play it off like she was barely alive.

But in researching news and reactions to this, I've seen a lot of people saying they will quit the show, while others are acting like it's the best news episode, but those people seem to be huge Felicity fans, so....

I think the inclusion of Nyssa is the biggest indicator that it's Laurels funeral.

Also, with how they got rid of Waller lately and every other character appearing in the DCEU (beside Flash) and rumors of Black Canary appearing in Justice League, I wouldn't wonder if they let the TV Canary die...

I'm really interested in seeing who that unknown girl is playing. Seem rather odd for someone who was recently cast, or ant least announced, to appear in such a crucial scene.

Also, it's very telling how some of the cast seems to acknowledge the photographer, so it's like they knew he was there.

Not to mention, Oliver is missing, much like he was from Moira's funeral, which kinda seems a little fishy.

So Katie is currently in LA for the Oscars, although this shouldn't be too surprising since I believe she was there last year, and it's a Sunday, so I'm pretty sure they're all off today. But she did fly in today from Vancouver, so we may get a better idea on whether or not she is still involved in the show if she returns in the next few days.

EDIT: It also appears that her hair is still blonde, or at least as blonde as it's been all season, so whatever they did to her hair for the flashback may have been temporary.

If it's Dinah Laurel in the grave, I'm not sure if I want to watch Arrow's next season. Sara is not there either, but I wonder if Sara will return to Arrow after Legends ends its first season.

While I'd like to see Sara reclaim her place again, I wouldn't want her to turn into a background character again, who rarely gets any development. I wouldn't mind Arrow going back to the just the original Team of Ollie, Diggle and Felicity, while Sara and Thea move to a Birds of Prey spin-off, together with Katana and Vixen.

They could do that, but if rumours are true, it won't happen because of a potential Birds of Prey movie. BTW, you're wrong about the producers not following their original path, they always intended for Laurel to become the Black Canary:
