That was all I was asking. By "clean," you mean... "not getting arrested." Got it.
How did they clearly create this situation? Reporters and journalists get in where the action is, to keep the American people informed. A well informed populace is critical to a functioning democracy. They are trying to give us the story.
What coverage couldn't they get? I dunno man. Listen.. I work for a news station. And I can tell you, these situations are fluid. You get in close, because you don't know what's going to happen. And the reporter was totally amenable to moving away. You are just using this event as an opportunity to push your position.
Right... being in the middle of rioters is nothing new. And it's not exclusive to CNN either.
Clean coverage with none of there reporters getting locked up*reads post*
*goes back to check again*
Trump better be real careful if he gets invited to a Minneapolis wedding any time soon...
(Also, what the heck is "clean news"?)
It's more alternative language from our local Trump supporter to explain away clearly illegal arrests caught on camera.
It was all recorded. You can hear them asking if they can't be there, where can they be.What position am I pushing exactly? Im curious because every other station is covering this the exact same and none of there reporters are getting arrested. So are you saying it was ok for CNN to be right there instead of back another 10 or 15 feet away safely? Is this nightcrawler or something?
This was a decision made by the police, which everyone is condemning. You can't hold them responsible for that. I don't even know how you could try and argue that.Clean coverage with none of there reporters getting locked up
This is all happening because George Floyd was murdered while being arrested by this same PD. I mean... goddamn.I sincerely doubt the governor would be deeply apologizing and calling the arrests unacceptable if it were a "clean" arrest. Maybe if he strongly or powerfully apologized, you'd find it more to your liking?

He left this up?On the Shameik Moore front, I see that he "apologized" this morning claiming this was the wrong time to talk about this stuff. And this lead me to this post I did not see yesterday.
I cannot do the actual responses to it justice.
At this point, I can't.Too much responsibility is with them.Yeah. They aren't exactly burnishing their public image. I'm sure the PC, mayor, and governor are all freaking out. Look, I can understand the cops being on edge, but this was rather stupid in more ways than one.

Yes. This is real life.He left this up?
And you have repeatedly failed to explain what "clean coverage" is as well. You dodge answers left and right. If you bothered to actually watch the video you will know there as nothing "clean" about the way those police arrested clearly legitimate reporters doing their job, clearly not breaking the law and clearly not a threat (at least to anything besides the actions of the police against protesters).Thats totally it instead of ya know answering my question why CNN of all news stations is the only one to have an issue covering this protest. Ya know the same station that positioned protestors to make an event look bigger or cuomo lecturing people about quarantining while he's riding a bike around with the virus.
It's coverage that does not get you arrested, Teelie. Keep up.And you have repeatedly failed to explain what "clean coverage" is as well. You dodge answers left and right. Why should the governor apologize and why would it be more to my liking? Shouldn't the police chief apologize? Again answer my question of why CNN is the only one to have there reporter arrested wrongly or not? I saw plenty of male and female reporters of different ethnicities make it through coverage without issue. Unless your saying its racist if it just happens to CNN.
That is the most absurd defense of illegal arrest of a reporter yet. You just made that up on the spot, didn't you? I don't recall saying the police were racist for arresting a black reporter, but I did say it was illegal. Race might have been incidental but it does not change the arrest was illegal from the begininning. And you also responded with that weak defense while I was responding myself. Can you not read what I said? I said repeatedly now clean coverage as no reporters arrested. Also a step further reporters of the same ethnicity as this gentlemen from CNN.
I just also said above they could have handled that better.
now answer my question is it only racist because this reporter was a minority and he worked for CNN?
how come other channels that have reporters of the same ethnicity had zero issues covering the same event?
This is circular logic, that ignores that one can be arrested for doing nothing wrong. They could of had the cleanest reporting (whatever that would mean) and still be arrested because someone was power tripping, being racist, etc.Can you not read what I said? I think the idea of apologizing is that you are a public official whose responsibility includes the area where something wrong happened and, sure, I think it would be appropriate for the PC to apologize. You'd have to go to the people making the arrest to find out why, but "why" doesn't mean it should have happened. If it was done wrongly, the question of "why" is rather silly because it shouldn't have happened.
By your logic, someone could say "Why is it that George Floyd was the ONLY one killed? What was it about HIM that was different than other black men who got arrested?"
