Just watching some of the footage back from the protests in Portland, can you all just go an nuke that place, seems to have some of the absolute worst of humanity on both sides.

I'm assuming you've never been to Portland? Most of the right-wing demonstrators were not from the city but drove miles to make a point. Equally, the protesters on the other side don't represent the majority of progressive voters in the region.

Seems to be the epicentre of all of this violent conflict between left and right. I jest in terms of nuking the place but it does look to be an issue they havent really got on top of yet.

Black man committed the crime of living in his own home. There should be repercussions for this but it's North Carolina, there won't be. The cops will just go on as normal, blaming him for their bad conduct (they already claimed the door was ajar, ignored the fact the man was in his underwear and there were previous false alarms at this residence at least 4 times prior).

When the raw numers of Antifa members begins to match the numbers from the myriad of White Nationalist/Supremacist organizations throughout America and when the number of people killed by anyone associated directly with Antifa comes even close to the racially motivated bombings, individual and mass killings that have been directly tied to White Supremacists, which has been an ongoing phenomenon for DECADES in the States, your BS false equivalency might hold some water. Unfortunately for your opinion it is in fact BS false equivalency.

Also... That's not to say that Antifa tactics are cool beans all the time or that their history of violent protest which before the rise of Trump included a lot of property damage should be excused. But in terms of actual coward terrorists roaming about the land... Sorry, Antifa isn't yet in the league of White Nationalists.

Finally... I'll be sure to pass your sentiments about protesting with masks onto the people of Hong Kong. Those filthy cowards.

Thing is once he put the gun down, and that's what the story said happens, you've got a man in his underwear saying it's his home with police officers there. The officers should have just taken him to wear he had ID or he could have shown them pictures of himself and his family which were likely all around the house or any other myriad ways they could have verified his right to be in his own home, such as them asking for the security code for the alarm system. There was no need for it to escalate to detaining him.

And for people of a certain political stripe out there that might be reading this... If you are actually concerned with the kind of government overreach you claim is a rock solid foundation of your political philosophy then what happens to non-White citizens far too regularly in the country should trouble you because those are the canaries in the coal mine for the rest of us. But too many of you refuse to see it that way so the issue festers.

One I didn't even bring up this whole desire to have them designated as a terror organization so I have no idea why you are responding to me with that and basically framing your whole argument about something I did not even mention or bring up.

No how bout stop trying to tell me what to do, I make no claim they have killed anyone you don't have to have killed anyone to be a coward there is plenty of footage of both sides attacking the other and innocent bystanders for no reason. But it is only the White Supremacist/Nationalist/Terrorist who are constantly murdering people.

Parts of Antifa are a bunch of idiots. Some very violent idiots. But at the very least the general message is against ****ing fascism. The other side are actual fascist with enough murderers in their ranks, that most can't name them anymore. So yes it is a false equivalence. Because one side is literally built on an ideology of hate, that is breeding mass murderers.
