Disney's Frozen - Part 4

I'm surprised they didn't mention OUAT. I guess the commercials were enough.

Did they at least show more than the commercials we've seen so far?

Not that I saw....the only really big announcement was the announcement about them doing a short with a new song.

I wonder if the short will be akin to Toy Story of Terror, a la 20-30 minute long TV short, or a 4-5 minute one attached to Inside Out.

New song so could be longer.

We have a video of it. My sister filmed it from the other room so they wouldn't see her doing it. It's hysterical. :funny:
:lmao:

It was good. Now I want to watch the movie again...
I am already watching it again. :woot:

I'm......going to go out on a limb here and say..............Elsa's the popular sister.
I love them both, but Anna is the one that captured my heart.

I just hope it is as good as the Pixar shorts. Especially the longer form Toy Story one. That is perfection.

Watching now. They've been trying to adapt the ****ing thing since the 40s.

Good movie but a terrible adaption. Had this been made in the 40's it would have probably at least resembled the actual story but as is I don't look at this film as an adaption of the Snow Queen at all.

They were gonna go with the original idea of making her the villain but had to do rewrites after the Lopezes wrote her theme.

and it worked out for the best!!

How many Disney adaptions are like night and day from the original story?

LM and Snow White were much closer to their original stories than Frozen was to The Snow Queen. There's nothing from SQ in Frozen except the basic concept of a snow queen, the Nordic setting, and the idea of ice threatening the heart of one of the main characters. Oh, and they used the names of Andersen's heroes, Kai and Gerta, even though the characters in Frozen bear absolutely no resemblance to the children from the story. That's pretty much it. They dropped everything else. I don't think they needed to even bother crediting Andersen.

My three year old daughter is obsessed with Frozen at the moment. We watch it over and over and over again, she insists on wearing her Elsa dress everywhere and acts out scenes all the time.

I've just introduced her to the Disney Tarzan movie to wean her off Frozen and she now [thankfully] looks to be moving onto that. She hasnt reached the point where she wants to wear a loincloth all the time yet though.

We are thrilled to announce “Frozen Fever,” a new animated short that will premiere in the spring of 2015. The short will feature all of your favorite characters from Frozen along with an all-new original song by Robert Lopez & Kristen Anderson-Lopez!

In the short, it’s Anna’s birthday and Elsa and Kristoff are determined to give her the best celebration ever, but Elsa’s icy powers may put more than just the party at risk. Olaf, the snowman, also will make an appearance in the toon.

Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck will return to direct the short, produced by Peter Del Vecho. It also will include a new original song by Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez.
Yeah! Amazing! Love Frozen. More Elsa.:hrt:

Really disappointing. Another mundane princess story with corny musical segments. As if Tangled wasn't bad enough. Wish Disney produced less junk like this and more stuff like Wreck-It Ralph.

Congrats on being the first person I have ever seen call a Tangled bad.

Because....Disney isn't known for princess stuff.

I found wreck it Ralph to be kind of basic

Agreed. I thought it was cute, but totally not anything special.

(Alan Tudyk as King Candy was the best part of the movie, though. I just felt the need to mention that. :) )

I really liked Wreck It Ralph. I have said this before, but I think Disney Animation Studio is on an AMAZING run right now.

2009- The Princess and The Frog
2010- Tangled
2011- Winnie the Pooh (so underappreciated)
2012- Wreck It Ralph
2013- Frozen

Big Hero 6 looks really good, as well. I genuinely believe that today's children will look back at this period the same way people around my wife's age (26) and my age (30) look back at "The Disney Renaissance" era.

You might like Big Hero 6 then.
