Disney's Frozen - Part 4

I am a 25 year old man and frozen is my second favorite Disney animated movie off all time behind only lion king has it had great music and was a lot different then a lot of Disney movies has it is not your typical Disney movie with the prince saving the girl type of thing and I like the rain dree and olf.
 
Well to me Frozen is targeted to girls not boys. From the characters Elsa and Anna, to the songs ( which are girly). All of Frozen's merchandise is for little girls ( Elsa dresses, dolls etc). I guess the sibling relationship is relatable for boys if they have a sister or brother I suppose. I am a 27 year old man so maybe my perception is off I don't know. When I watched tried to see it from the viewpoint of my younger kid self and I was like meh. I also kinda former my opinions of the reactions I got from some of my little cousins. The girls all love it and got a lot of Frozen Merch for Christmas. The boys have seen the movie but aren't into it. They are obsessed with Ninja Turtles and Transformers. I guess kids drastically vary from one up the other in households around the world.

Edit to be clear I don't think the movie is BAD by any means. It's decent. I just personally think it's overrated compared to other Disney and Pixar movies out there. I also believe it's more for females than males and I am not saying that's a bad thing.

Well, because I'm not buying the merchandise it doesn't really matter to me who it's targeted at. I found things to relate to in Frozen. The idea of feeling isolated and different, your family hiding things from you or shutting you out, being a bit awkward and silly sometimes, and the bond one can have with a sibling. I don't need to be a woman to appreciate that. Or enjoy quite a few of the songs and the animation.

yep. Frozen ( and the characters ) connected with people for a variety of reasons.

now, I'll admit, I do think at this point Frozen has started to become a bit overexposed and a bit overhyped.

It was great.......but was it THAT GREAT??

of course, that's subjective and in the eye of the beholder.

for me, while I loved Frozen, I still love Tangled, Beauty and the Beast, and Little Mermaid more, as well as the songs ( and Menken's music style ) more than the Frozen songs.

now, that could be due in part because those latter 3 films are all love stories ( and I'm a sucker for those ), whereas Frozen, while it had a love story, didn't put that aspect at the forefront.

His thing is trying to be more human then humans. He likes to experience things. Think, "In Summer".
 
I think Cinderella is going to open BIG thanks to the short being attached. Never ever underestimate the power of Elsa & Anna.
 
Elsa STILL hasn't changed out of that sparkly blue dress............:o

edit: no wait......I take that back. in the 1st pic her dress looks different. OMG!!! Elsa FINALLY wore something elsa!!!
 
I'm so excited for the short. Wooo! It's probably the only reason why I want to see Cinderella in theaters.

Not that the Cinderella movie looks bad, mind you. It actually looks decent. But the film went from "I'll check it out at some point" to "I need to see this in theaters!" because of the Frozen short.

I may go see Cinderella just so I can see Frozen Fever. That being said I do not want a Frozen sequel. Not at all. Nope.

I want a Frozen/Tangled cross-over that serves as a sequel to both movies!

I.......wouldn't be opposed to that. cuz I want a Tangled sequel, too.

Please no. These should stay as one offs like the Disney classics. Shorts are fine but don't start going the cheap route of combining them. Terrible.
