Could you tone down the female body builder look? For the love of God?
Yeah, I'd definately lose the female body builder look.

I sort of like that he's sick. It adds urgency to everything he does. Lets face it, as a wanted criminal, he probably have the funds or access to have safety equipment for his experiments for all these years. Eventually he was going to get sick or hurt. Getting punched in the head by super humans really didnt help either.
It might work for a while, but how long would it be before it became ridiculous. After a while it would be like, 'Shouldn't this guy be dead by now?'. I say just cure him now and get it over with.
Oh, and giving him back his adamantium tentacles would be a step in the right direction as well.
In the hands of a good writer, Ottos' illness and his quest for a cure could lead to some excellent character development.
Too bad we're stuck with Dan Slott.
Agreed, and what's so bad about Dan Slott?Who says Dan Slott's going to handle all future Ock stories regarding his illness?
Slott isn't bad, but he isn't very good either. It could be worse, could be Mark Millar.

Or Bendis![]()

t: Having him with small-scale magnetic power is just a minor set-back in my opinion, especially when the tentacles look so good after it. Although it's too bad we lost all the sexual metaphores of his previous tentacles... I swear, the shape of the one with the tazer function was absolutely suspicious

I've always found Dan Slott to be a great writer, honestly. I mean, his work on Avengers was great, and if you ask me, he's done one hell of a great job on Spidey.Slott isn't bad, but he isn't very good either. It could be worse, could be Mark Millar.

Power-wise, yes. Mentality-wise, the Clone Saga brought Otto to a whole new level of threat and meanness toward Peter. I don't know of anyone who messed up so much with Peter's life in USMt: Having him with small-scale magnetic power is just a minor set-back in my opinion, especially when the tentacles look so good after it. Can someone tell me why adamantium tentacles would make Doc Ock so much powerful? I mean, they're indestructible, but this doesn't strike as so much of an improvement it the Doc is still as vulnerable as usual... What makes such a threat on a global scale is his intellect, not his tentacles!

The Master Planner said:Sure he was, until he became a second-rate Magneto
t: And since when does Otto have a mutant supremacy agenda???This.Because Ocks' adamantium arms are orders of magnitude more powerful than his original titanium steel alloy arms. Using his adamantium tentacles, Ock was able to humiliate the Hulk with one of the most brutal ass-whippings in comics history, and take on Spider Man, Nova, the Fantastic Four and Deathlok by himself.
Sure, his sinister, scheming mind makes him deadly, but add to that the truly awesome power of the adamantium arms and Doctor Octopus joins the ranks of Doctor Doom and Magneto on the A-List of Marvel villainy.

Agreed, 110%, Don Yoyo. Very well said. Can someone tell me why adamantium tentacles would make Doc Ock so much powerful? Just to clarify, I never said Bendis was a bad writier.
