I don't know if you peeps heard, but they've canceled the Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon. Instead of renewing it for a third season, they're going to do an Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon:

Only reason I posted this here is because Doc Ock is clearly evident on this new promotional poster for it.

I heard. I think it's pretty r-tarded that they're doing that. I like Ultimate Spider-Man but TSSM was pretty much that and the original comics put together. I don't understand why they didn't just let them have a 3rd season.

No, it's true. They've said they're using USM as an influence for the reboot. But I think they mean from Peter Parker's high school life standpoint.

Can't deny that. The only ones that are good (well, for an adaptation at least. In universe, they work) are the nuttier, crazier, closer-to-Peter version of Doc Ock, the Kingpin and Mysterio.

The best things about USM are on the supporting cast : Aunt May, Gwen Stacy, Mary Jane, Kong (never understood why they included him and a 616-inspired Flash in the Spectacular cartoon...), Kitty Pryde, etc.
