Booo! Hissss!

Don't worry I don't really believe that. Not with Norman, anyway![]()
He's good enough to rank beside Octavius in the villainy department. Marvel need to realize the potential awesomeness of having these two work together some time against Spidey.

So, just watched the episode...twas awesome. Finally got that comic moment in another medium, and after only five decades!
Seriously, though, it was a good episode, with a lot of neat character moments that really harken back to the Spidey we all know and love. I loved the idea ofSpidey defeating Doc Ock through sensory overload, I think that's a first. Both adversaries had some pretty good lines, too.
Overall, a welcome breath of fresh air.
t:I loved the "Web Of Death" arc. The whole idea of Ock not wanting Spider-Man to die, at least not that way. That was supervillain greed & arrogance at its finest. I'm still a little unclear on whether Ock wanted the privelege of killing Spidey at his prime, or just couldn't stand the thought of there not being a Spider-Man to interfere with his plans. Or both. Either way it was awesome.
Ock came to respect Spidey as the only adversary who was able to challenge him. And if Spidey was going to die it was going to be at Ock's hands. I remember Stunner scoffed at how easily she beat Spidey, and Ock tells her "With all due respect, my dear, it was too easy. The Spider-Man I know would have given you a fight you'd remember til your dying day".

Ah, I love grudging mutual respect. How ironic that Peter wished he had a challenging adversary....right before he met Octopus, who slapped him and tossed him out a window.![]()

Wait, is that Ock smiley smoking a cigarette? Sheesh, this is the first time I've noticed it. Good job, Demo. Real observant.
Yes, I guess there is a big Ock story coming up in Amazing. Glad to see that a classic villain will be keeping Spidey busy while Norm is off running the world.![]()
Thats something that I like about hero/villain "relationships." They do sort of get to know each other as people. Fight and struggle with the same person again and again over years and you do get to know them.
